June 2013 pin code watch !

I have a question...

We are booked at Pop, checking out on Friday (but we have tickets for that day). I am also paying for QSDP, so if I try to add Friday night on, it automatically adds that as well. Can I book Friday night under my husband's name as a seperate reservation and if I do that, do you think that there is any way they would let us just keep the same room? I don't care about dining for that day, we can just pay out of pocket. I'm just thinking we aren't going to want to drive 12 hours after a park day and I really don't want to pack up the room to move to another room for one night.

Yes, it will need to be a separate room-only reservation (that you will pay for now) if you don't want the DDP. It can be in your name. Just have the booking agent "link" it to your current reservation number so the room assignor at the resort knows what you are doing. At check in, remind them of the extra reservation to help assure that you will keep the room. You will need to stop at the desk Friday AM to get new room keys (even if it is the same room).

I would post a link, but since you are in Canada, I am not sure if it would work (aren't you guys routed to a different site?) Nonetheless, there are no discounts out yet beyond 6/14/13. I wouldn't expect to see any until March or April, based on past release dates. Keep an eye on this thread as we have all made a pact to post here if we something on another thread! :thumbsup2

I was just able to connect to the site using Internet Explorer as my web browser rather than Mozilla Firefox. I have used Mozilla every other time so I am not sure why there is a difference now. All that matters is that I am able to connect again!:thumbsup2. Thanks for the heads up regarding discount release time lines. I am crossing my fingers that a deal comes out in March. I have to pay the rest of my rental fees to our off site location in early April. After that point, i cannot switch to onsite accommodations. Fingers crossed!:)

Great! Thank you!

They can still do it under the DH's name, especially if they wait to add the extra day while they are there. While at the Pop this past June, we decided to stay an extra night. We were on the DlxDDP, and we didn't have to keep it for the additional night even with it still being in my name. We just did a room only add on since we wouldn't need any more park tickets.

Of course they can, there just is no need to change the lead name. :goodvibes

Exactly, with all of the problems Disney has being having with their IT department lately, I wouldn't personally trust them to link the 2 ressies if she put the room only in her name instead of the DHs. Unless I read it wrong and the original ressie is in her name.

::yes:: I completely agree!! Whichever the lead name is in the package needs to be the lead name for the room-only, to help the poor room assignor know what is what.

My fiance and I will be celebrating our honeymoon with a 8 day/7 night stay at the Wilderness Lodge Club Level from June 3-10. To make this honeymoon even better is that we just got the 20% discount on our room:dance3::dance3:. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR THIS THREAD INFORMING ME ABOUT THE DISCOUNT.

Thanks for all of the tips!

So, the TA left it at 5 day hoppers.
Should we just add the extra park day when we get there, then on our last day, make a room only reservation?

I'm so excited... just got BOG for our last night!

So am I understanding it correctly that no discounts have been released for June 16 or later? We are going the week of the 16 and I really really could use a discount. I haven't received a pin code yet. :(

Yes, there are no discounts released yet by Disney beyond June 14 listed at this point. Here is a link showing last years discounts on mousesavers.com and when they became available to give some historical perspective when discounts for your dates become available and what they were last year.

Congratulations! My wife and I spent our Honeymoon at Dixie Landings (now Port Orleans Riverside) in January of 1995. There wasn't a better place to spend a honeymoon. Believe it or not, Disney can be a very romantic place.

Add me to the list of those wishing some sort of discount for mid to late June would come out...
