I wouldn't worry about it. They are totally out of line with what everyone else is charging for that time period. If you go on rentalcodes.com florida page here: http://www.rentalcodes.com/florida.html and plug in your dates, it shows the rates for all the companies and Alamo is double or more what everyone else is charging.

I'm still holding firm at $170.88 total for a full size through Alamo, picking up June 26 at Tampa airport and dropping July 3 in Orlando airport. Has anyone seen anything better to date? I check every few days and that seems to be the best deal at least for now.

Yes, they do have Toyota Sienna. But they charge more for it.

My rate for Alamo came down! Originally I had booked Dollar for June 27-July 1 for $99. I wanted Alamo but they were too high. However, I checked today and I was able to book a compact car from June 27-June 30 dropping off at the Dolphin for $84! I only need the car for 3 days now as I am starting my stay at the Disney resorts earlier.

I can remember last year I DID Have a Saturday night stay b/c we left for the trip on SAturday this year we are leaving Monday but oh boy is it nice to drop that car off mid week and save a good deal of money. Ok this is too weird. If someone is staying at YC, BC or BWI it is CHEAPER to rent your car for a week and simply walk over to the Dolphin walk back to one of the hotels above and take ME to airport. DisneyfansinLny got me started on this.....they provided great codes for a midweek drop off as I dont' have a Saturday night stay well if you do, use the 20% coupon they provided and use another coupon - in my case I did the upgrade coupon as mentioned in previous post but if you do have a Saturday night stay rent the car for 6 days getting 7th day free using coupon code AF4469SDU and use the Visa or Costco code for 20% as mentioned above. ALAMO ONLY! And the midsize rate at end of June is 160 out the door for 7 full days.

We did this last year as well and DH loved just walking over and dropping the car off and not having to time the airport departure with rush hour etc. Granted ME is no picnic but only had to do it one way and it was nice not to have to scurry around at MCO getting there in time with rush hour etc......Doing it again this year but dropping off midweek as then we just walk to Epcot or DHS etc - our MK and AK are on the "car leg" of the trip

Dang- it's expensive! On the first page, after entering a coupon code for 25% off and a contract ID from Allstate, it shows $593. Then on the summary page with GPS and taxes/surcharges/fees, it's showing $829.05!!!!! And that's with no insurance selected. This is for a standard model. I'd really love to have a midsize SUV, which I'd have to sell a kidney to be able to afford

I have $400 budgeted total----which I'm starting to think is out of the question. Any chance you think I can rent from National for $400 for 10 days????

if you are ready to commit to dates and times, don't forget to try priceline every day. you can specify mid size suv. remember there is no canceling a priceline bid.

Is there any reason that I shouldn't use Priceline if I'm sure about my dates and times? I would really like to be able to use a rental agency where we can pick out the car. Would I have any control over this if I use Priceline?

Check National with ID#8572130(KLM code). I come up with $350 for an SUV for your dates and that includes all taxes.

I used this code in February when we went with no prboblem and plan on using it in June. I have an SUV rented for 11 days for $360.
