June 2013 Car Rental When Best Deals

I justed signed up for Alamo Insiders. I was then able to reserve a full size car for the period 6/26-7/3 (picking up at TPA and dropping off at MCO) for $140. After taxes and fees it came to $188. Best deal I've seen so far so I booked it but will continue looking for better deals.

Can you share the codes? those are my dates...I prefer under 100 as prior years but at least his is under 200

I actually didn't have to put any codes in...just logged in as an Alamo Insider and used the search column on the right of the screen.

thanks I did the same thing and price was super high. My dates are 6/17 - 6/26 and it was 600. I saw a button thought that said coupon code and thought maybe you had one. thanks for the reply!

Thrifty and Dollar rates climbed back up for my dates (6/4-6/11) today. But I noticed that Alamos are dropping. Using the Alamo Insider code and Visa Contract ID 7015504 and Coupon Code AD7394SDJ, I was able to get standard car for $169.37 including all taxes. Those codes just require that you use a Visa to pay.

For now I'll hang onto the slightly lower Enterprise rate I have, but keep an eye on it. Happy hunting!

Thrifty is showing a midsize for $294.76 for your dates. Don't enter any codes, and choose the "city special" option to get it.

I always try to book the lowest I can find and then keep checking back. If the rate drops just book the new rate cancel your old reservation.

I'm on the carrentalsavers website and I see this deal for an AVIS rental. It's $196 for an SUV for a week. What is the catch!? That seems amazing!

Budget has good rates if picking up before 6/15. I wasn't a fan via just one rental with dirty car a few years ago (anybody use lately out of MCO?) but good rate for a SUV for my dates.

wendies special BCD D454300
$30 off weekly/Sat keep coupon MUWZ020
weekly rates:

fullsize or midsize SUV $109+ ($166.xx total)
intermediate $99+
compact $89+

I got a min-van (Alamo) on Pricline for 6/1-6/8 for $278.

I have a minivan reserved for 6/14- 6/20 from dollar using the city special. It is 325 total with tax. Lowest I have been able to find so far, but hoping to get it down a little bit more. Last oct we had one for about 250 but I know this is summer.

We're going 6/28 - 7/13. I've tried every combination of just the first week, just the 2nd week and both weeks and the prices are outrageous. Airport to airport is the best pricing but I would prefer dropping at Dolphin or car care center. Is it b/c it's around 4th of July? I've gotten a 10 day rental for about $150 before but it was in the fall. If anyone has dates similar to these, can you let me know what the best rates you're getting and which company? The best I found last week was 2 weeks for $384 I think it was National with the KLM code.

Thanks for posting this! I got a Ford Focus from June 3-10 for $144 all taxes and fees included. This is $36 cheaper than Dollar with their city specials. Gonna keep checking the closer we get, you never know. I just read a post on another thread that said she waits until the Tues prior to her rental as that's when companies release their best specials.

$248 5/31 am to 6/10 pm mco pick up/drop off with Dollar for a full size ...
Did I get a good deal (city special) or is there anything I can apply to get a lower price ???
We have never rented from Dollar before .. Is getting the car and getting going an easy process (we are use to National ... we did Alamo once and had to go to the desk and wait for our car which took forever)

Thanks, Swimmergirl!!!

I used the Visa code for Alamo and I got a full size from Tampa on June 16 through June 27 returning to Car car center for 312. wahoo!
