June 2012 code watch?

Is their anything to the pin code for June or is this just a joke? I really got I excited when I first read it. Now disappointed becasue it looks like it is not true.

I did receive a pin code for my trip which is in June. The pin code was good throughout the year though only leaving out Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. It helped me out a lot! :thumbsup2

Unfortunately with this not being "real life" most people don't believe what they hear and I'm not willing to forward my personal e-mail around to show proof. :confused3

Hoping for pixie dust for everyone!! :wizard:

BridgetR3 How did you get the pin? Did you book your trip and then they sent you the pin or did you get the pin first? I am glad you got it. At least some of us is getting lucky.:thumbsup2

So glad you received a pin! It's good to know that there is something out there and hopefully more will start to come out soon. I know I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Have a great trip!!!

Holy Cow! 3 weeks in WDW?? I could only dream of that. Heck, that would eat up my entire allotment of vacation time, so it won't be happening anytime soon.
I have been dreaming about it for a long time! I told my husband that if I did not go to Disney this year then next year I will be making up for it, lol :)

Hey WELOVMICKEY, W2G!!:worship: I would love that! Do you normally stay that long or is this your first time? I am hoping for 9 days and that would be the longest we have stayed.

No I never have before but I have always wanted to do. I just have to get it out of my system! :dance3: My mom will be with us for the first week and my husband is coming for the last week :)

I had saved a LOT of trips during Easter week and end of May/beginning of June through the website. I never booked them, only saved them. I called the Reservation hotline about 1.5 months ago to ask if I had a pin associated with my name. They said no but priced a vacation for me anyways. I declined the vacation by telling her that I couldn't afford that right now without a discount. October 22 I got my pin and then booked my vacation. (I would have gone either way but Disney doesn't need to know that!) :rotfl:

and the price listed in the email for stays June 1- June 30 in a Value resort were $134. I priced a room only stay for June 10- June 15 on Disney's website and rack rate was $129 a night at the All Star resorts! :scared1:

something doesn't quite add up? :confused3

What the heck is that all about?!? $134 at a Value sounds high, even for summer!

I know! I was so excited when I saw the email because since there are 6 of us we'll be booking two rooms and then I opened it and saw the rate and was like WHAT???

Was really hoping for 20-30% so we could book a Moderate for about the same as a Value rack rate but guess not!

Here is the text from the email......

WOW! that doesnt sound like much of a discount AT ALL!!?? :confused3

I would like to call and ask if there was a Pin associated with my name, but I think I'd feel stupid doing it..

is it really as easy as it sounds? Just call up "reservations" and say.."hey is there a Pin # under my name"..and that's it??

:scared1:

I'm praying for a pin too. I just ordered maps hoping it might trigger something.

I did call once asking if there was a pin under my name. They didn't seem to think it was too weird or anything...

hehehe...I just ordered the DVD..I wonder if its for 2011 or the new one for 2012...

not that it matters - Disney is Disney!!

ok, I might have to get up the nerve and call...

DisneyNut_34, I am so sorry that happened. That is really weird. Maybe someone punched in the wrong info. Or are the prices going up that much next year. I don't think I have heard but has someone else?:confused3 We all might need to keep a close eye out. I am waiting on a pin or code but I may need to go ahead and book. What should I do????:confused3 But if we don't get a discount of somekind we may not get to go. We also have some friends that are thinking about going with us and have not made up their mind. I think we are just a mess...haha.:rotfl2: Does anyone have any suggestions?

GASP! :scared1:

do people actually pay FULL PRICE for a Disney vacation??

I'm not sure what I would do if I had to pay full price..

but I do have AAA, so I can use that as a last resort....

We don't pay full price ..... EVER!!
We've gone to WDW 19 times in the past 15 years and have never paid rack price.
There was once when all we could get to start with was AAA rate, but about 2 months before we left something opened up and we got 35% off I think!

I agree with the posting about the value resort being advertised as $134 & then a moderate as $195. Disney resorts have really gone up in price especially the value resorts. I think it might be best to start staying off site. On the new Hilton Bonnet Creek direct website I can get rate a of $161 with the fourth night free. It is considered an upscale hotel with good reviews & customer service.:wizard:

YES that is EXACTLY what I did. They sounded like people do it all the time! ;)
