8/14 No Buy Days

Store and Coupon Savings- $82.41

Hello No Buy Friends! After a few months off I'm back. We're in our new house, all unpacked and ready to move forward with this phase of our life. I'm still a little iffy on my budget because I haven't gotten a set of utility bills for the new house yet. We're in a much bigger house in a new city with new providers, so I have no real idea what to expect. For this month, I'm hoping for 7 no buys and 7 days under $10. I'm so glad to be back!

June 1 $20 Dh's PT, $35 groceries, $7 took the boys to the movies- tickets were $1 each and I got us all a water to drink, $15 Subway after the movies.

June 2 $6 took the boys bowling- the games were free but I had to pay for shoe rental.

June 3 $40 groceries- had dinner with my parents, they wanted me to bring a few different things so I had to stop at the store and get a few misc. groceries.

June 4 $55 race fees for DH and both boys, $40 celebratory pancakes after the race.

June 5 $90 groceries. I'm hopeful tomorrow will be a no buy day. Getting back in to the swing of this is tough!

June 6 $25 gas- DH didn't know it was a no buy day and he put in some gas. Oh well! $11 car wash-since Dh ruined the no buy day, I figured I'd get my car washed.

June 7 $56 pet supplies, $40 Target, $20-took the boys to ride a local train, tickets are $.75 each, and then out to dinner

June 8 $175 groceries, $57 date night

June 9 $0 :cool1::cool1::cool1:

June 10 $45 supplies for oil changes in the cars. We actually bought enough to cover the next set as well, so we should be golden for awhile on oil changes. Tomorrow should be a no buy day because I have my nephews and DH has to work and there is NO WAY I'm taking 4 little boys 5 and under out of the house by myself.

June 11 $0 :cool1::cool1::cool1:

June 12 $0 :cool1::cool1::cool1: Took the boys to the local swim beach with a picnic. We had a great time and it was totally free!

June 13 $0 :cool1::cool1::cool1: We are starting to get into serious Summer sport season. Starting today, the boys have some type of practice or lesson 5 days a week. The good news is that I might not have the time to spend money!

June 14 $40 renewed my Sam's Club membership. I wish we'd get a Costco up here, I hate Sam's. $40 in Sams, $15 groceries, $17 took the boys to the theater, $20 gas, $55 my cleaning lady came today, YAY!

4/7 No Buy Days

A.Mickey,
Wheres Piglet, you dont need to leave for the month because you are going over. This is the No Buy thread, but its also the No Judge thread. :-) I'm going to go over this month, too, and I have already spent too much on eating out. I'm afraid if I leave, I will really go nuts LOL.

Amen to that!

Lol.

Oh my gosh, 5 days a week! What kind of sports are they in?

They're playing soccer two days a week, t-ball two days a week, and my little guy is taking riding lessons once a week. We normally don't do this much, but both boys love t-ball, so we couldn't skip that and DS #2 couldn't play soccer in the spring because he wasn't old enough, so we decided to do summer soccer to give him a chance to play.

If you could do your own highlights, that'd be really cool! Highlights are a great look for summer. I want to dye my hair, but I've never done it from the box before, so I'm scared to mess up.

Oh, no! U can't do my own highlights. I didn't express myself well, I meant either do highlights at the salon, or a regular dye job 1 color from the box. I think it's not so hard to do a regular one color dye, though I usually get my mom to help me. Would have to do it all by myself this time. I'm scared to mess up too!

Ohhh, of course! I'm asking my best friend to help me this time. Let's hope it turns out nice for the both of us!

DBF is treating me to dinner at a Vietnamese place after I made dinner for the last 4 nights! :lovestruc

I went on a walk around the neighbourhood today, and was able to keep myself from buying a drink at Second Cup. There are THREE within a 10 min walk from my place!:scared1: I really like their iced green tea chai latte.

Boy am I late at getting started here. Page 7 already.
May was another failed month for tracking. As was April.:confused3. Although I stayed within my budget. Just no time to get on the computer....So, here I am trying again.

06/01 -0- Not a cool day today. Tornados ripped through my hometown and other surrounding towns and city. Only 4 miles from my home, and we got nothing.
06/02$38.00 $12.00 for lunch w/friend. $26.00 supplies for friend that has no electricity. (batteries, extra flash lights, tarp, ice,). Spent the day in town locating family and friends. Thank you God for keeping them all safe. The total loss of life was only 4. I know 4 is still to many, but, this could have been so much worse.
06/03-0- Today was just a numb day.
06/04 Approx. $30.00 on food and water. Spent the day in Springfield volunteering were ever needed. Sadly the town I was born and raised in refused our help:scared1:I think they were just overwhelmed. We don't get tornados up here. Today was an AWESOME DAY!! We just picked a house that looked like they needed help. With chain saws in hand we just jumped in.
06/05Approx $60.00 $25.00 fastfood and water. $25.00 Bought some groceries for one of our new friends. $10 ordered pizza for dinner tonight. But I got to use a $10.00 coupon. :banana:Back in Springfield for the day.We are very Blessed to have met some increditable people. This experience has forever changed my family and I.
06/06-0- :cool1: Forgot what a no buy day was like.
06/07 $32.00 at CVS in 2 seperate transactions. But, got $30 back in ECB:banana:
06/08-0-:cool1: It was just to hot to go anywhere but home and work.
06/09 -0-:cool1:
06/10$76.00 $50 gas, $26.00 groceries
06/11 -0- :cool1:Shopped at CVS today, but spent -0- oop. Did the Dove deal and got milk. Used ECB that were about to expire. Plus got back $5.00 more ECB. :yay:
06/12 -0-:cool1: Today was a migraine day. All day!! Went to church this morning, stopped at Walgreens for Disney GC's. Spent no oop money for these. I do local surveys and focus groups for $$. That money is always put in the change jug. So, I used $200 of that money to purchase Disney cards and I got 4 free gc tins (this weeks promo). And then it was back home in bed for most of the day.
06/13 $46.00 at Costco. $20 of it for grub killer, $10 for dinner. (love the chicken bakes. Plus, I was being lazy). The rest was for milk and stuff. This is the cheapest I have ever gotten out of Costo's. but, then again, I left my DH home. lol.
06/14 $33.00 groceries. But saved $37.00 in coupons 5 free Hydro razors, 4 free toothpastes, free ice cream,
06/15 Another migraine day. Going home from work and going to bed.

Auto 50.00/$280.00(raised alot due to the prices)
Groceries/Household Goods $132.00/$250.00(raised for picinics and strawberry picking)
Eating Out/Entertainment $87.00/$150.00 (raised for Father's Day)
Misc $20.00/$250.00 (raised for Father's Day)

I had no food in the fridge, so had to go out to buy dinner. Also need to buy food for tomorrow night's dinner as well. I might be buying McDonalds just to keep my spending low...

My family is also having Father's Day dinner on the Saturday, and my sibs and I are treating....so I'll likely be going over my 3-day budget on that. I guess this dinner will be our gift?

I also need to fill up on gas tomorrow night. Good thing gas is not part of my 3-day budget!

My spending yesterday was part of the wedding budget, so I will call it a no buy. Get this- DD tried on an amazing wedding dress that was a sample. It was $1000 marked down to $500. I cried when I saw her in it- she looked so beautiful.

She flips the tag to see who the designer is, and it is marked down to $99!!! We ended up trying on about 10 more dresses, but she picked the $99 one. It will need about $300 in alterations, but what an amazing buy. :-)

I will update the "wedding dress" budget when we get a final number including alterations and shoes.

:cool1:Wow you are doing so well Congratulations on the dress, it is so awesome to find what you want so much under budget:cool1:
I might need you to come shopping with us when we are in the USA:rotfl:

Nice job on the wedding dress!!!

Oh boy, this week is not going as well as last week. A bunch of expenses I forgot about or didn't know about - my doctor appt., booking my son's b-day party location, 4 new violin books! Oh, and I haven't even planned Father's Day dinner yet.

Also we're driving 1/2 hour away to do a fun thing for the kids today, then another 1/2 hour for dinner with some friends tomorrow so I'll need more gas. The dinner is going to be a HUGE budget buster because DH agreed to go to a super expensive restaurant in Palm Beach! It will probably be about the same as our entire weeks food budget. :scared1: Oh well, this is a learning experiment! And DH HATES this budgeting stuff so I decided to not complain about this one dinner.
