June 2011 Code watch...anybody in?!

We are also planning on going in June 2011! Well, tentatively. I'm waiting to see what offers and/or pins come our way. We just returned from the Beach Club, Club Level with the 30% off summer rate and am hoping to try the Yacht Club. Club Level June 26-30th or thereabouts. Oldest D will be back home from college in early May to end of June, then return for a summer semester. Younger D and I will join her on the ride to Florida, then hang at Stormalong Bay again. I could NOT get her out of SAB the entire trip! They both loved it!! Can't wait to go back!

I'm right there with you!! Without a good discount, CL is OUT for us (shoot, BC might even be out! lol). I am REALLY hoping that the 2011 bounceback offers are out when we go the 1st week of November (and that it is a room discount, not free dining). :wizard:

I'm in! My mom hasn't been to Disney in over 20 years and I want to take her in June. She recently had knee replacement and lap band surgery and actually, for the first time, feels like she can DO Disney! I'm really hoping for some discounts to make the trip affordable.

I just booked for May 27 through June 3 so we are kind of in the middle but I decided to post here. We are booked for POR which is not where we normally stay but we are trying something new. I hope I don't regret it. I have been hearing about snakes and other critters! I am looking forward to possibly seeing anyone from here!!

I saw a snake waaaaay up on a walkway, at Blizzard Beach, so they can be anywhere there.

We just switched our reservation from POR to POFQ. We'll be there close to the same time though!

If anyone is looking for a HUGE discount on tickets (like $166 for a 6-day park hopper!), I am putting together a Y.E.S. group class for June 3. We get the group rates AND a cool class for our kiddos - if anyone is interested, pm me or post here! :-)

What is a Y.E.S. group?

I've just started thinking about June 5-11, right after school gets out. I'll just miss the free dining, but maybe something else will come along. My DH isn't too keen about going again (we went this May), so it might be me, DS9, DD7, my mom & dad. -- I just love thinking about another trip!!

What is a Y.E.S. group?

The Y.E.S. program involves a special class at Disney that lasts for about 3 hours (google the Y.E.S. program for more specific info) on one day of your trip. Classes range from learning about ocean animals to participating in a behind-the-scenes look at the science behind the rides at Magic Kingdom. There are hands on activities, and the kids usually special privileges to ride a few attractions before the park opens in order to discuss the science behind them.

My girls (who will be ages 6 and 7 next summer) love science, so we thought this program sounded perfect for them (we're coordinating the "How Things Move" class for ages 5-8). The added bonus, of course, is the group discounted park tickets - right now, listed for $166 for a six-day park hopper (over $100 savings per ticket!). For each child taking the class, the group is allowed to purchase a discounted park ticket for one child and one adult. This will end up saving our family of 4 (2 kids taking the class) almost $500, AND our kids will get to participate in a neat behind-the-scenes class!

Currently, we have 7 confirmed kids - so we're looking for at least 3 more to make a group, tentatively for June 3.

If you're interested, there are a few things of which you should be aware:
1. Our "group" is allowed two chaperones, one slot of which is already spoken for. If you'd like to attend the class with your kids, let me know so I can place you in the other slot.

2. Adults are allowed to purchase one discounted ticket for every child taking a class. In other words, a family of two adults and two kids could buy 4 discounted tickets, but if only one of your children participated in the class, you could purchase only one child and one adult discounted ticket.

3. We need to provide payment to Disney at least 8 weeks in advance for the group. The easiest way to do this will probably be to pay me (as the group leader), have the tickets mailed to me, and I can then mail them to each family. The tickets are flexible by 7 days on either end our group's visit.

Jen :-)

That sounds fantastic! I've grown up going to WDW more times than I can count, but I've never heard of this program. My children will be 5 and 7 next June, but unfortunately, we can't be there before the 12th since we'll be on our cruise. Although I'm happy to be cruisin', I wish we could join your group for such a great experience! Thank you for the invite!

You still may be able to get in on a class - Disney also has Open Enrollment dates for those who can't get a group of 10 or more together.....you can enroll your child(ren) and still get the discounted tickets on select dates. They usually post the open enrollment dates a couple of months ahead of time, so either call Y.E.S. (407-566-7647) to get on their email list or keep checking the website for open enrollment dates as next summer drawer nearer. And yes, this program must be the best kept secret at Disney!! :-)

Have a great time on your cruise!!

I want in too!!! We took DCL to the Med in May and my ds7 wants to go to WDW in 2012. We are looking at June 12-20 and hoping that the price drops some. Count me in....

Count me in too :thumbsup2 I just got DD's school calendar in the mail and school lets out a few days earlier so I am planning on June 23-29th and after looking at the prices I am sure hoping for a PIN code probably going to book this weekend with AAA rate (room only as we have no-expiration tix from this year), but I really would love a bigger discount ;)

Hey all you people going in June! We are too June 2-11 to be exact, anyone guna be there? We will be staying at Pop and just hitting Free Dining! :worship::cool1:

Those are the dates we are thinking about now too. I thought free dining was only 5/27 thru 6/2. How are you getting free dining?

I think you can get free dining as long as you arrive by 6/2.

Yep, that's it! When I saw this thread earlier it dawned on me that I could still get free dining for my entire trip if I checked in on 6/2. So after checking the school calendar (we get out 6/2), I emailed by travel agent and we are now going 6/2-6/7 with free dining although we upgraded to DxDP! Saved over $800! We were planning on going 6/12-17 at rack rate and were hoping for a deal.

We are in for June 2011 also! We just returned from our first family trip (me, DH, DS6, DD4) a week ago. Now my mom wants to take us on a trip in June, as long as I plan the whole thing:thumbsup2 I am so hoping that there will be a good discount so that I can get the most out of the budget.

For anyone who has gone during June/July in the past, what discounts are generally available for that time? We were able to get 40% off deluxe, but that was for August.

It sounds like discounts are usually posted sometime during winter, so I will probably book soon & then hope to apply a discount at some point.

Fingers crossed....:wizard:

Count me in here! I just had to reschedule our November trip to June due to some work conflicts for DH. I'm super sad about it, but at least we've got June to look forward to! I'm really hoping for a good discount to come our for our dates. We are traveling 6/18-27 and will stay at POR. :goodvibes

HI! Count my family and I in too! Hoping when we go in Jan. 2011 for marathon week there is a BOunce back offer for room only! Although some are now saying that Disney may not continue with BB offers:eek: I hope they do though. Other wise hopefully other room only discounts become available for 2nd week of June:thumbsup2
