June 2007 Rate/Code Watch

Well, taking my name off the list for July. Just can't swing it. DH was dumb enough to waste all of next years vacation days this year so he gets none so no vacation for us. Hope you all have a WONDERFUL trip!!

Seriously, May:sad1:
Is it possible to make a regular ressie, then call later and add the code or Florida discount. July is such a busy time of the year, I would h@te for my DH and I not to get a onsite room for our Anniversary.
Maybe when we're there next month I can ask a CM some questions about all this(when their not busy off course);) :)

Yes - Go ahead & book your room - that way you have the reservation in place if/when a code comes available. We did this last year & had no problems whatsoever! :thumbsup2 Rooms do get booked fast, so I wouldn't wait around too long.

Have you tried AAA rates for your dates? We booked with AAA last year & then switched to AP when they were released. Right now, we're booked with AAA for July but hoping for something a little better!

Same here. We're booked for July at WL with AAA rate. We're hoping a good code or AP rate comes out that we can apply. I think if an AP comes out for certain resorts; we may end up switching resorts. We'll have to wait and see what comes up.

Yeah - we switched last year because the AP rate was too good to pass up at the Epcot resorts, but we were originally booked on the monorail (Poly & CR). This year, I have no intention of switching from our CR ressies!!! I'm DYING to stay in a MK view room, so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for those last 3 nights ......... come on codes! :wizard:

We don't have AAA, I usually use the Florida Resident rates. I guess we could stay at the Shades of Green, we've never stayed there though the DH is military, we usually stay at the values for the kids, but July will be just for us!!

the AP/FR rates for the Epcot resorts came out in the beginning of june...I posted it on another thread this morning...

This year my friends are staying in the Ecpot area, so i hope they will come out there again this year!

Hoping for something magical to come in as well. My dis-family of 4 are staying at the GF (July 7-14) and would love to see some codes. Has anyone heard of the construction going on at the GF and because of the construction would you consider making a reservation elsewhere?

HI :) Just wanted to tell you we'll be there at the same time for our wedding :cheer2: :cheer2: We're staying at the Contemporary (which will also be under construction) so if you want to switch, but stay on the monorail, I would suggest the Poly. If you happen past the wedding pavilion on the 12th around 12:00 wave to us at our wedding ;)

Congratulations on the upcoming wedding! Looks like our trips overlap; maybe we'll bump into you and your DH. Make sure you get the Newlywed Buttons at guest relations. It'll be much easier for us and others to identify and congratulate you!

I just did a run through the historical information at mousesavers.com on discounts for the July time frame. As a general rule, the discounts for July seem to be released around early to mid-May. There were a couple releases that covered early July (July 1-4) that occurred in the March time frame. It also looked like additional discounts were made available last year in early June. Here's a link for anyone who wants to view the raw data:
http://www.mousesavers.com/historicalwdwdiscounts.html

All that said, I'm guessing that we will hear about discounts, if any, in the May time frame. If anyone hears any information to the contrary, I'd love to hear it.

Thank you! That's the kind of information I was looking for, but couldn't remember where I had seen it before.

Thanks for the congrats wishes too! Don't worry, we'll have buttons, t-shirts, mouse ears, the works. You'll be able to spot us a mile away :rotfl:

I called WDW this morning, she seemed to think by April the June codes would be out.

Just checking in again. We finally just picked All Star Sports for June 18-24th. With two small children and an older child, I think it'll be just fine. We liked our stay last year.
In terms of codes, wouldn't free dining be the bomb??:woohoo: Here's wishin' pixiedust:

just saying I booked my hotel for 6/24 to 7/2 at movies hotel waiting on a code hopefully something comes out also. if there is a code I plan to stay 2 weeks total if not total.

What kind of discount do you think might come out?
I'm looking for June 1.....we're staying last week of May and right into June... I need room only....I have tickets and some days with dining at Sports, but....need to finish up the trip with a great rate hopefully at a deluxe:woohoo: .

They already have the code for your time frame for the free water parks/hopping upgrade, I don't forsee any other codes for that time, they already released AP rates. Did you book the other code to get free hopping, etc.?

Will be at CBR from 5/31 to 6/13. Split the reservation with MYW promo on the first 5 nights, then AAA room only on the final 8 nights. Maximized my discount that way, but may need to change rooms. Also, if a code comes out, I can apply to the room only and not lose my MYW upgrade promo.
