June 2007 Rate/Code Watch

Count me in on waiting for a July code. I don't have anything booked yet; I'm thinking of doing Coronado Springs. I'm just waiting to see what comes out. We'll probably spend 2 weeks on site and 2 weeks off (I'll use our timeshare for offisite). :)

I'm in!!! We are going July 22-Aug.3. We are looking to stay at the CBR but need 2 rooms as there is 6 of us soooo I am definately looking for a rate. :cool1:

Question: You only need to have 1 AP to get the discounts right? LOL!!!

I thought I was the only coocoo (don't know if spelt right) that was starting my July 2007 planning. LOL!!!! It is sooo much fun isn't it!!!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

We are looking to go as a family the 2nd through the 9th. We wouldnt get to WDW until the 3rd probably.....not sure yet. Its My dh, myself, our 5 kids (12,9,7,5 & 4), my father in law and his dd-12.
We are looking to stay at ASMo with 2 adjoining rooms.
The kids have never been. We went their for our honeymoon. Im definatly looking to save all the money I can on this trip!

We hope to be booked at Pop for 3 nights (7/10-7/12) and then the Poly for 6 nights (7/12-7/18). We have never done a split stay before. We plan to stay at Pop for the beginning with out going to the parks-just to relax. Then book a package with AAA for the Poly. We've never stayed at the Poly-this was DH request. I am so looking forward to the lush tropical theming!!!

A discount better than the AAA rate would really be nice! I remember the days of great AP discounts. I remember in 2004 getting 60% off rack rate at the WL! Those were the days!

I'm hoping for an AP rate for our 5 or 6 nights at PC after our OKW stay with DBIL and his family. I have been very lucky, and always gotten an AP rate whenever I go to WDW (2 - 3 times a year at various times). Here's hoping :thumbsup2 !

I am looking to go july 16,-22,2007 i have never used any discounts before so if someone can help me out a little I would really appreciate it.

I just cme from disney with my kids so this next vacation is for me and hubby alone and i want to stay somewhere really nice

Just curious, for those of you that have used codes in the past, how far in advance do you usually find out about them? We're booked for CBR June 10-17 - as soon as school gets out - I'd love a code!

SUBSCRIBING! We just got back 5 days ago and DH agreed we didn't have enough time..... planning to go back either July/August 2007 depending on what kind of rates we can get for the YC!!!

I wouldn't expect to see one before March at the earliest.

I've just reserved AKL for June 7-10 at a AAA discount. Am planning to add WL for 3 nights just prior to that as soon as I'm sure I can spare the cash for the deposit (hopefully in November). Not expecting any better discounts given that none were offered for June this year, but will be keeping my fingers crossed!

Since we always go in June/July, here's what experience will tell you: 1. a discount is NOT guaranteed year to year. For example, in 2004 we saved over $400 on our resort (ASMo) through the Disney VISA...in 2006, nary a one discount, even though we are also AP. That's one of the reasons we choose a Value resort. Even with tourism up and almost no reason for WDW to offer additional discounts, we still make out quite well. 2. Yes, $100 is about what you will pay for a Values room/2 double beds now adays. A couple years ago it was $79--just goes to show you how much WDW has rebounded since 2001. We found that even though we didn't have any codes for our room this year, we did save GOBS through the DDE plan (Disney Dining Experience) which is a straight 20% off your dining bill (cocktails included) and no hassle (the CMs LOVE it  ). I will stay tuned to this thread to see what comes up and that leads me to 3. Yes, please reserve your room with plenty of time. you can always adjust if a code comes out. You do not have to have the code at time of reservation. See you all in June! :thumbsup2

I'm jumping on the June thread too -- we'll be there 6/28 thru 7/02. I would love to see an AP rate!! :thumbsup2

In scanning some of these postings, I've learned (and am not surprised) that some folks actually book on-site room reservations with Disney way in advance, then refine their reservations package later (tickets, add-ons, etc)...Can a discount code be applied to pre-made room reservations? Is WDW OK with making these kinds of changes?

A little friendly advice would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I have added a discount code the last two trips I have made and have had no problems with it. I have never had to cancel and then rebook, they just make the adjustments accordingly. So, I have already booked for our June 1-8 trip so I can have my requests on file as soon as possible. I must say though I have always booked a package, not a room only reservation, so I don't know if there would be a difference. Any one?

Good Point. NEVER cancel and re-book-- there is absolutely no reason to. WDW will adjust your original ressie as long as you continue to stay at the original resort. We've also done this many times. :woohoo:

Jumping on board. I'm going and I've got a friend whose going and could use the code if they come out.

If you get the Disney Visa, remember that for every $100 you spend, you get 1 reward dollar. That comes in handy for many things at Disney. We managed to save up 112 reward dollars and used it to add an extra night at the Pop Century for our trip on the 25th.

Just bumping a bit... :goodvibes

53 days to go on the anniversary trip for DW and I. We've finally told the kids where we're going for our anniversary now that we have a family trip on the calendar. :rolleyes1

Subbing...

Haven't made ressies yet but want GF garden view 7/14-21. Will wait until this trip is over and book AAA rate and hoping to get an AP rate.

:teeth:

We have booked for July 7 thru July 21for Pop Century. We love to cut some of the price down or go to moderate.

Not sure where my subscription went. Let's try again. Reservations are for 6/13 - 6/21 POR. Come on discounts :cheer2:
