June 2006 Discounts??

Just found out that our school system is cracking down pretty hard on absences this year...being sent to a judge with 5 unexcused absences. So now instead of an Oct 07 trip we are looking at a summer 07 trip. Can anyone tell me what, if any general public discounts there were this past June. TIA!!!

We are in the same boat you are but unfortunately I don't believe there have been any available to the public discounts in June for the last couple of years.

Bummer.

They also skipped June for the most part for AP rates

If you could check in early in June they were there or later in the month, but otherwise nothing. AP rates overall were not abundant for the summer months until mid August.

You never know what WDW will pull out of their bag of tricks especially if tourism slumps (poss. due to high fuel costs?)...even though June traditionally doesn't have any discounts - anything is possible...of course it was dismal this year in June.

Our school's official policy is that they don't allow unexcused consec. absences of more than 5 days either...but, have noticed that among my kids peers, if the student has "good grades" it's not uncommon for them to take several vacations thru out the school year as long as they complete the missing assignments (and this applies even thru high school).

We limit vacations to when there is no stand. testing/mid terms, etc. & try to pick a week where they already have a school holiday. We picked Columbus Day in Oct. for just that reason...good luck!

In '03 all I could find was a room-only AAA.

03 I had a postcard deal, pin code thingy. Don't remember if there were ap rates...I think there were. I can't find the mousesavers history.

04 I had 7 for 5 deal with Disney Visa and an ap rate...pretty sure on the ap rate, but not 100% on that.

05 ap rate
I think there were a couple other Disney Visa ones in there too, but I can't remember for sure.

This summer was the first with no special Disney rate offered on the Values. However, with our AP to save on shopping at the DTD Disney Store and the DDE card for dining (straight 20% off), we did alright. The cost of our room was $100 a day at the ASMo instead of last trip's $70...still less than one room in a chain hotel around our area and we more than made up for the difference with the reward dollars from our Disney VISA that I had been collecting all year--free money! Be sure and look at multiple programs for savings in case one doesn't come through
