Our last evening we spent driving around the loops. It was great fun. We wached a bit of TV before going to bed. This evening was the only time we found bugs to be annoying.
We woke up our last morning around 7:00 am. Cooked breakfast, packed everything up and had no problem checking out by 11:00 am. We did go inside the reception area to double check all charges were correct. No problems.
Heading home on N HWY 27, about 1.5 miles up from HWY 192 is a brand new Publix. Very nice and uncrowded. This was the perfect place to stop and pick up a few things before arriving home.
Our first few nights home we roasted marshmellws on the BBQ. This helped us cope with the transition back to home/work life.
We are now planning a fort stay in October. Thanks again for following our report. We hope you all enjoy your fForts stays as much as we do. We feel very fortunate!
I loved seeing your pictures of the Lego figures. We haven't been big fans of Downtown Disney, but the next time we go to Disney, I would like to stroll around and see the new (to me) restaurants, stores, etc that have been added during the past few years.
I know that I tend to be quiet,,(yeah,,riiiiiight ) But I too wanna thank you for the wonderful trip report, very cool
Great pics too ! I noticed the Geyser at WL was going off when you took the pic from the boat, very cool. and while all your pics were very good, one of my faves was the fireworks over the Marina boats,
If you remember anything as the days go on, I for one love to hear bout all the little or silly details that don't always get told.
Wonderful trip report. thank you so much!
We camp a lot all summer, never considered doing it at Disney, though. After seeing your set-up (tv/shelves/fan) I just might give it a try!
Roasting marshmallows on the BBQ to help transition***Priceless!
While we have adjusted back to normal everyday life, we like to read all of your posts too. Thank you all for sharing too.
One tip I can give you is that the fire to roast on at the campground is large
and very hot. We have since purchased longer roasting pokers. This should make for easier & more comfortable roasting. Down side is that I know I will eat more! Oh well .....
