June 19-23, June 20-24, or July 10-14?

We were planning on visiting DLR from June 20-24, Wed - Sun, but now I am starting to doubt the dates. At first I started thinking that perhaps Tuesday would be better crowd-wise than Sunday, so I decided to bump it up to the 19-23. But now it seems like there are a lot of people booking that week due to the AP blockouts, so I'm starting to wonder if it might be better to go the week after the 4th (Tuesday-Saturday).

Any advice on what days to choose? We are going to buy MaxPass for the entire trip, but we are still trying to find the lowest crowds possible for the timeframe. (We have 4 kids, including one who will be 2 and one who will be 4, who has some behavior and sensory issues.)

I'm probably overthinking this, but I'm just nervous about going during the summer. It goes against what I have always heard about when to visit Disney for lower crowds.

Thank you so much!!

I'd choose the time after July 4th.

Crowds... Crowds.... Crowds....
There use to be times when crowd levels were predictable. Not so much anymore.

However, lately the tune seems to be Summer is Best. With Saturdays the lightest for crowds.
This is mainly due to AP levels that are blocked during those months.

Since it's hard to know how crowds will be, it's important to begin the day at opening.
Plus having a plan of some kind and being flexible will help too.

Good luck

We went July 9-12 this year and it was much better than we anticipated. First day we got to the parks at 8pm and stayed until about 11:30pm. It was a great night! Next two days we got there early and left in the afternoon for about 4 hours then came back for evening. Other than total gridlock and chaos during the night parade/fireworks, mornings and evenings were pretty nice. Our last day we got there at noon and stayed until about 5. That was our worst day because we were there during the peak crowd and peak heat time. I haven't been in June, but just based on AP block out dates, I think I'd go with July over June, and definitely get there early no matter which date you choose.

Follow the blockout schedule...follow the blockout schedule....

We've gone for both Easter and Labor Day this year and the crowds were awesome on the blockout days, packed on the holiday (which was not blocked out). We still use the rope drop touring strategy, but we were able to get so much done using MaxPass and a sensible plan because so many were blocked out. I also think many ticketed guests avoid holiday because they think it will be packed...don't tell them...

The summer will see more ticketed and non-SoCal AP guests so it will be more crowded than Mid-October, but add in several million potential guests in June trying to get their last visits in before the summer blockout and you have a recipe for crazy.
