June 19, 2004, anyone yet???

Beth,Judy and Kathy,
I also have a 11DD (who will be 12 at sailing) and a 13DD. My girls are interested in surfing, skate boarding etc. My 13DD will also have a friend sailing with us and may check out the teen activities but I'm concerned about the 11DD since she a tween. (too old for the lab and not old enough for the teen club) E-mail me and maybe we can hook them all up.

Hi Denise,
I will PM you with my e-mail. My girls would love to correspond with others who will be sailing with us. They are starting to get excited about the cruise. Now the only one who is still stoic is my DH. Maybe I should get him an e-mail buddy too:rolleyes:

Hi all! Family and I just got back from a grueling week at Old Key West. Spring break. Since I was tasked with arranging or at least researching the idea of getting the grads together, here is the result of the investigation: DCL will not allow a private gathering in a lounge that is not open to all passengers. Second, we could arrange for a private conference room to host a private party. I have no idea how much that might cost. Nothing on a cruise other than the food, is without cost. So we have a few options, and I want to go on record as being in favor of getting the grads together, one would be to just all plan on meeting Monday (first day at sea) at a pre arranged location and time. and do things on the fly or arrange somehting more formal. I would like to get a concensus and will proceed accordingly. Personally, I would like to arrange a meeting, probably in the late afternoon before everybody has to get ready for formal night, and have a little congratulatory gathering with soft drinks and cheese and nachos, etc and not-so-soft drinks for adults by one of the pools. We can task each other to get a banner and a cake and cards and maybe a bottle of sparkling cider to pop for the kids. It might be a blast. More spontaneous the better. Let me know, dw and I are game for most anything... Wes (Debbie H's better half.):wave2:

Hi Denise,

I sent you a PM with our e-mail address if your dd's would like to get to know my dd before the cruise. We received our DCL video in the mail today and we've already watched it a couple times.

Judy

Hey folks,
In another month we'll be able to book those DCL excursions. Anyone decided what they are going to do yet? I booked the Dolphin Swim a couple months ago on my own for my DH and DDs, but everything else is open. Interested to hear what other people are thinking about. This is our first cruise ever, so I don't want to over schedule-would like to also be able to relax and enjoy some of the other activities on board.

Hello!:wave2:

I booked Captain Marvins snorkle and stingray excursion in Grand Caymen. At the other ports I think we'll just do our own thing and relax. I'll probably book parasailing and the banana boat ride on CC. I tried about a month ago for the dolphin swim, but they were completely booked up for the whole day. I am sooo excited about this cruise. I dream about it almost every night!

Judy

Hi Judy,
The snorkeling on Grand Cayman is supposed to be great. I am thinking about booking us on the reef snorkeling excursion because everyone is freaked out by the stingrays for some reason. :D
Kathy
PS the girls are enjoying exchanging e-mail with your DD and DS

DoombuggieDriver,

Sorry, I hadn't been on the cruise boards in a while. Yes, we are still adopting from Russia. We just finished our home study, and got it from the Social Worker yesterday, so our next step is to apply to the INS for permission to bring the child into the US.

We don't know anything about timeframe or location, or sex, or age. Basically, we know we will get a child someday. :)

Looking forward to seeing everyone on the cruise. Our last childless "Hurrah" (although the thoughts of taking a little one to WDW is awfully exciting . . .seeing the parks through little eyes!)

That sounds like great news Randytenn- it is wonderful to see Disney through a child's eyes- everything is different with kids. I am so happy for you. Enjoy your last hurrah, then start planning how you'll do things with a little one in tow.
Kathy

:( Hi everybody. Well, I've put it off as long as I can,but we won't be sailing with you on the 19th. DH work is sending him to continuing ed classes for work to Philidelphia the week before we leave and he won't get back until Sat. night( the day we would sail away). So we are having to change our sail date after all. We kept hoping the school would pick a different time or that he would be sent a different time of year but no such luck:eek: I sure hope you all have a great cruise and look forward to hearing all about it when you get back.

Awwww. I'm so sorry you're not able to go with us. :( Hopefully you can change your date soon. Let us know when you're going.

Patches,
So sorry to hear you have to change your date with just a couple months left to go. You've been waiting so long. I hope all works out and you can book something fairly soon. Let us know how it goes-we'll miss you!
Kathy

Patches,

Sorry Patches, hopefully you can book another one soon!

:wave2: Hi everyone!

Thought I'd hop on and say hi! We just booked the REAS package so no scramble for Palo or massage ressies! Don't forget that Tuesday is 60 days out and we can book our excursions! We are planning to do the jeep tour in Cozumel and everything else will be on our own!
Last time in Key West we did the trolley tour, which was great, but now we want to explore on our own!

My DS, who is 14, is interested in emailing or IMing any kids around his age who will be on board. Last cruise he met some great friends on this board and still keeps in contact with them. As a matter of fact, we met a great family on the cruise and spent Easter weekend with them in Syracuse! If your DD or DS are interested, let me know!

Hope everyone has a great weekend...looks like a beautiful one here in central PA!

Go to www.disneycruise.com and click on "Onshore Fun." All the excursions, prices and times are listed there. Booking information is there also! You are allowed to book 60 days prior to the cruise and I'm pretty sure that is Tuesday!

Beth

Hi everyone,
I just booked our excursions this morning. DH and DS are doing the 10:30 parasailing and we're all doing the banana boat at 2:30 on CC. We also booked the Atlantis submarine at 12:35 in Cozumel. I was on hold for 20 minutes, but at least we got the excursions that we wanted!!!
