June 18, 2011 - 11 Night Mediterranean Sailing from Barcelona

Hi,

I would like to be added to the FE list!! Room is # 2633. Do I need to add anything else?

They've shortened the port times for Naples and Palermo.

Naples 8:30am - 7:00pm was 9:00pm
Palermo 8am - 4:00pm was 6:00pm

Now I'm rethinking "A Day on the Farm" in Palermo. Excursion is listed at 7.5-8 hours (obviously it will be shorter now) and has a 1.5 hour bus ride in each direction. With the shortened day I'm worried that it will be a lot of bus with a quick farm visit....

Did you decide what to do about the Farm excursion? We are signed up for that one too and it is the only DCL excursion that we are doing. I thought it would be fun for the kids to do at least one thing that sort of caters to them and it would be neat to experience the countryside a little bit- BUT not sure about big long bus ride trip the day before Rome. I'm afraid that we will have to get up early for this one and then it will be rushed and the part about relaxing pool time is the part that is going to be cut short.

If anyone has done this excursion before, please let me know if it is worth it!!

Just looked, we have our flight info from DIS, depart ATL @ 6PM, on June 17, arrive Spain @ 8:55 AM on June 18th!
We can hardly wait!!!!
:dance3:

I've added you Thanks

Question about staterooms numbers
Do I add the stateroom number here on the boards or will I try and keep it private and let everyone know their list of staterooms by PM message ?

I'm going to post on the May 28th Med cruise meet and ask if anyone is doing the excursion. Hopefully someone will be and can give us a report when they get back.

I'm still undecided.... I may cancel it and then talk to the shore excursion CM's after we board.

I'm fine either way. We are GTY and still don't have our staterooms. I guess I'm wondering what happens if we don't get them until the last minute?

Regarding the stateroom numbers, I don't think anyone minds if they are printed right on the list. That's the only way to really distribute them. What we did on our last cruise was put in the stateroom numbers for those that had them and left space blank for those that still needed assignments. Then, at the cruise meet, we filled in all of the blank spaces to make a complete list? Sound good?

Also, someone mentioned that May 31 for the cutoff seemed a little too close. Should we move it up slightly or keep it as is?

Thanks!

Hi All - Just got back from a week in China and am trying to catch up on this thread. For those of you who are trying to determine whether to do a port on your own or take a tour - we were on the Baltic cruise last summer and did all of the ports (except Russia) on our own. It was actually really fun and gives you a chance to better experience the culture like a local.

On this cruise, we'll do a private tour in Naples, a DCL tour in Palermo and the rest on our own, although I'm considering doing a private tour in Villefranche.

Hard to believe it's less than two months away.

Hi all, I just got my credit card statement, and I have a random credit from DCL Travel. Not that I'm complaining or anything :lmao:, but it's a little strange. It was on 4/21 for $48.16. Odd.

Question for you experienced cruisers - I know I have read that you can prepay tips and things like that - how would you do that? I look at the online options but can't find it... thanks!:thumbsup2

The person who organized it wrote out the staterooms, ages and sex of the children so we could plan to get the kids appropriate gifts. We don't have our stateroom either. Anyone know when they assign them?
