I am planning to wear my tshirt over my regular shirt. So I can take it off for the picture. Just look for the frazzled lady with the whiny kid, you won't be able to miss me. Plus I'll be looking for all of you

Okay, I'm having a minor panic attack. Just called the TA and received a message that they're out of their office until June 17 for a meeting. So, if Disney sent our documents to the TA I guess they're going to be sitting there until June 17 if no one is there. I left a message but they said unless it's an emergency calls will not be returned until the 17th. Wonder if this qualifies as an emergency. What happens if we don't get the documents??

I know this has been answered already, but I was a TA in a former life, and IMHO it's VERY unprofessional for her to go off on her own cruise, without making arrangements for you to get your docs. Definitely bug her on her vacation, so she doesn't do this to someone else on her next trip. Even though you don't need the docs, you paid her for a service, and she should deliver it. (ok rant is over)

Checked our reservation on the DCL website and we have been moved from Second seating to Main seating. This makes DW & DMIL very happy. I guess we will be scrambling on those all day excursions that don't arrive back until 5:45 - 6:15. What will DCL do? We like to follow the rules but won't go to dinner so late to interfere with tablemates, servers, etc. I guess it's pizza or hamburgers on those 4 nights.

On our last Disney cruise I booked the late seating for this very reason. But we found that the dinner time conflicted with some of the cool goings on in the Kids club (at least for the 7 year olds). I had to leave in the middle of the meal to drop my DD off at the club in time for her activities. Other nights we did the buffet up on deck, so she could get there in time.

I just got my travel documents and found out the hotel we are staying at before the cruise was different than the one the travel agent had orginally told us about. She also had the taxi service taking us from the airport to the wrong hotel. Good I checked over everything. She told me not to worry. I should feel really lucky that we are going on this cruise. I then got really upset. But, it is now all fixed. Thank goodness.

As a former TA, I beg everyone to PLEASE check everything with a fine tooth comb!!

I think I am dumping florence/pisa and just going to do pisa. I've been thinking all day, but it looks like everyone who has done it and posted has been unhappy with that tour. I really don't want to ride a bus all day.

When I looked at all the driving time required to do Florence and Pisa, I said "no way". The kids would be miserable! I think this is one of those situations where less is more. And by just doing Pisa we have a better chance of getting inside the tower.

All right...I just had to clarify this ....what it the difference between girls play money and boys play money??????????

Just personally from having visited both Florence and Pisa would not attempt to do both in a day. Pisa is great and much easier to deal with than Florence especially for children. Always think the best view of florence is looking down on it from the top of the hill it looks spectacular. Did climb the leaning towr many years ago before they propped it up again.

Glad to hear we are not doing any wrapping up and are we still 20 to cater for.

Look forward to meeting everyone when we are doing excursions on our own and feel this is a great idea.

We have not got the medhead shirts so you will have to recognise us by our accents and am sure that will not be too difficult.

Animals are certainly a problem and I for one am always relieved when I get mine up to the cattery owned by my friend. Always scared it is going to do a bit of a disappearing act. Parrot not so much of a problem as it will do anything for my husband and nothing for me.

Just thinking this time next week we shall probably be thinking of getting on our way to the airport hotel. We usually make a day of it (weather permitting) and visit one of our favourite National Trust properties on the way and have lunch there. We enjoy their restaurants and the food is always freshly cooked. They also do a good veggie option which is very tasty and even my husband likes that.

Just hoping that passport arrives but documents I do not think are a problem at all - there really is not much in the little pack it is just nice to get it.

Is anyone going to bring a converter for the hotel? I think I need it for London, so I can charge my cell at the end of the trip. Anyone know where I can buy?

Someone told me about a wrist band for motion sickenss. Anyone have any experiences with it?

Check the charger on your phone and make sure its 110 AND 220v. You should be able to pickup a converter at any travel store. But just remember the British plug is different than the 2 prong European one. When I was in Ireland a few months ago, I was able to borrow a converter from the hotel.

I've tried the wrist bands, along with every known cure for motion sickness. Bonine works better for me than anything else ever has. And it doesn't make you drowsy! I start taking it 24 hours before I fly, and then keep it in my system during the entire cruise. Good news is you only have to take it once or twice a day.


Also, if anyone is looking for an international calling card there are quite a few cheap ones to be found online. I use one from Enjoyprepaid.com and only spend 2.something cents a minute to call the US from Belgium.

Don't give up on the upgrades. We were at WDW the week prior to our first Disney Cruise, when my TA called with an upgrade from an outside cabin on deck 2 to an outside verandah on deck 7!

Steph, did you find a new sitter for your cat??? Have you tried your vets office? We lucked out and have the best neighbors in the world! She is a retired veterinary technician and can give my cats medication and such. We take turns watching each others animals.
