Rome is now Jumping Back into Eternal Rome

Villefranche is now Highlights of Monaco and Monte Carlo

Jeff is correct - thanks Jeff - 3pm is a tentative time for the meet. I was trying to wait until we see navigators from the first 11 day to make sure the meet does not conflict with anything important. I am not sure if they are having a matinee for the show on that day since it's a sea day. They didn't on the transatlantic. Also since it is formal night we might bump it back to 1 or 2pm so early diners have time to get ready.

Right now lets set a tentative time for 2pm and if we need to change it I will post it on the boards and also have it on the reminders.

Is that okay with everyone?

So we're thinking about dropping the Florence & Pisa tour now, since I haven't heard anything good about it. The problem is figuring out what to do instead. Plus, we don't want to drop it if the others don't have available space, so I may have to stick Andy on the phone later today trying to figure it all out. Decisions, decisions!

You can add a new tour without giving up your old one. Just go in and book the new tour, and then it will bring up the conflict, and give you a couple chances to change your mind before you add the new and delete the old. There are a lot of tours available right now.

I know I am also thinking of changing ....I was going to go and look at the comments on the other threads....I don't want to stay on a bus all day either...and I know my children won't!!!

Yeah, Florence is a beautiful city but I think the kids will get a kick out of Pisa.

Okay, things are crazy around here today. Trying to get last minute things done and run last minute errands. I still haven't finished packing and I still haven't figured out a gift to bring for the exchange. I have a 1000 things running through my head and I feel like I'm forgetting something. Gotta leave the boards now and get these things done. I will try to check back in later.

Counting down the days till we leave.
We are staying in room 7043. My mom and my 18 year old son is staying in the cabin two doors down. This is my sons graduation present. My mom travels with us on all of our trips. My husband has lost 160 pounds since February. So he is really excited about going on this cruise and not being so overweight. He still has 40 pounds to loose. But, he looks really good and was so happy to buy clothing at a regular store. The only bad part is now we have reservations at Palos and he does not more than two bites and then he is full. So the eating experiences should be very interesting.

Now hopefully we will be upgraded. I am really hoping for some Pixie dust. But, if not that is ok. We saved a lot of money by downgrading. So anything is fine.

Quite agree - Pisa will be more fun and less intense for children - Florence is a great city and I always think my favourite view is looking down on it from the hills above it is spectacular. You really do need more than a couple of hours to appreciate it I think. Try and go for the pisa one where you get access to the tower that is fun - did it many years ago before they propped it up again. Have got a beautiful photo of me standing in front of a very straight tower with the leaning Basilica behind me. Had a friend who was no good with the camera but it is fun.

Now the packing panic sets in. We leave for London tomorrow at 6:45pm Houston time.

I am taking my DD to the Dr. this am to make sure that she doesn't have a urinary tract infection. Just what I need the day before we leave. We were just at the Dr. on Tuesday for her 6 year old check-up. Well I would rather have checked out here than in London. We do kind of have a history of visiting the ER or clinic when out of town. One of the kids gets sick or hurts themself. I would like to try and not do that on this trip though.

I think I have everything I need. It is just a matter of putting it in the suitcases and my DD travels with her entourage of dolls. I told her that she had to limit her baby dolls to 3 and a couple of Barbies. My DS is easy. All he wants is his ninetindo DS. I told him that he had to bring some books though. I am rereading the Harry Potter series. So I will be finishing that up on the trip.

Well off to the Dr. and then packing. I will let y'all know what the vertict is. See everyone next Saturday on the Magic.

I wish I was leaving today. I almost have everything packed. I have to hem my sons pants. He insisted that I purchase him a suit. He felt left out. His dad and 18 year old brother had a suit. He is only 8 and thought he should also have one. I went to Kohls and found one on for $21.00. So I thought what the heck. So he is really happy.

I know this has been answered already, but I was a TA in a former life, and IMHO it's VERY unprofessional for her to go off on her own cruise, without making arrangements for you to get your docs. Definitely bug her on her vacation, so she doesn't do this to someone else on her next trip. Even though you don't need the docs, you paid her for a service, and she should deliver it. (ok rant is over)

Oh, believe me, I've been ranting too!! It's very, very frustrating. She will certainly be hearing from me when we get back whether we get the documents or not. She'll just be hearing from me more if we don't get them!

I am so happy to hear we can get wireless in our own staterooms...that's great!!! Does anyone know the internet prices?

OMG I got goosebumps when I read that! For some reason people starting to leave just makes it all so real. I mean, we've been planning this for over a year and it's almost time to go!? Now I'm crying (happy tears). Okay, I'll stop. I'm just so excited.
