LeiLani, the return address is DCL so it must have come straight from Disney. Just one more thing to check off the list of things to get/do. :cool1:

LisaTex are you using the same company? What time are you getting picked up on Saturday morning? We are using DCL ground transport from the BCN to the port.[/QUOTE]

we are using bs transports as well. they are taking us from our paris hotel on the 14th to the Disneyland Hotel and then picking us up on the 16th at 7:30AM. we will look for you guys at the gate at the airport - shouldn't be too hard to figure it out:)

We are also using DCL transfers to the port.

Hi everyone,

Leilani weather here is wonderful about 25 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Hope it stays good as we have had that much rain over the past weeks.

Will keep watching the weather and post a forecast for you. Luckily London weather is about the same as we get being about 30 miles south east of London. Weather at the moment good for sightseeing think London is one of the worst places to visit when it is too hot as the old buildings just seem to trap the heat around them. Will watch Caddy who is our local forecast lady on BBC South East and see what she has to offer. Do you fly here on Saturday?

Just thinking this time in two weeks it will be that dreaded life boat drill as it is now 5.05.p.m.

click on iTunes Store over on the left, then in the upper right search box type in "disney cruise" without the quotes. The search should find the Disney Mediterranean Cruise [Adults] album. Within that album are 10 video podcasts. You'll then click on them to download them to your iTunes library where you'll be able to play them on your computer (which is what we've been doing). I hooked my laptop up to our 46" LCD TV so we could all watch the videos together. I only downloaded the podcasts for adults but there are additional ones for Teens and for Kids.

Wow - thanks!! These podcasts are great!!!! I downloaded the adults & teen ones too. Anyone know how to get them on a DVD or VHS??

Got our docs yesterday too. I'm a TA so also got some docs for my clients on this cruise too & zipped them off in the mail because I know they're as anxious & excited as we are in our house!! (Most companies send to me first because the idea is I will be responsible for checking for errors, etc. & then answering any questions -- which this board sure helps me do - thanks for that too!) :thumbsup2
BTW the docs are for a family of 6 & they're on deck 6 right by someone on this thread (sorry, don't remember exactly who), but they are in 6644,46, and the one directly across the hall! I told them about this board but I don't think they looked yet. Oh well.

Getting DS15 off to his 2-week missions trip to Dominican Rep. today & then he'll meet us at JFK for flight to BCN -- I know he's 15, not 5, but this is making me nervous! It all has to go like clockwork for him to leave by himself a day earlier than his group to catch up w/ us, so please wish us luck with all that!!!!

Happy packing, everyone!!

:dance3:

Hope Everything goes alright! It's hard to put your child (even @ 15yo) on an airplane. Mom's worry, that's there job! A big hug going out to you :grouphug:

Good Saturday morning everyone! :cool1:

Last night was the senior prom for my oldest son...those kids looked so nice! The prom was held at a convention center, I guess due to the large class size. The parents put on this after prom which is truly incredible! The them for the after prom was road trip and they decorated different rooms to be various places you would take a road trip too. The boys bathroom looked like Yellowstone national Park....and it looked good! The kids come home from the prom around midnight and shower and change then go back to the school to 6:00 AM. I guess this is to keep the kids off the roads, I know my son was already tired at midnight but he still wasn't home by 5:00 am so I guess he got a second wind. I can't wait until he wakes up so he can tell me all about it....but I think that won't be for a while!

Off to a bridal shower today. Everyone enjoy the day getting all the last minute pretrip things organized :coffee:

Marie

Hope he enjoyed the prom!

Bren,

Okay you scared :scared1: me for a minute with stating the temperature was 25 degrees. Till I figured you were talking of celcius not farenheit!

Sorry tend to forget which to post in and they give us this on the website.

No dont worry it is warm and also getting better in the med from what I can see. May always has been unpredictable and we went Venice years ago when my daughters were young and it was Monaco Grand Prix time and it rained all the time. Not cold but not want you expect from the med. Usually hot days and very warm balmy evenings which are so pleasant. The med at night has a special feel to it and unlike anywhere else we have been. Well
two weeks time we shall be at dinner I think and looking forward to the evening on board. Cannot wait am now starting to get excited and need to get suitcases down from loft. Phone BA and we can have 2 cases per person each weighting no more than 23 kg. Hate metric never can work with that - this is the reason we love your country so much miles and pounds and that is fine.

According to the weather report the temperature is to be around 22 degrees all this week and sorry Leilani it says rain on the Monday. Never mind they are so good at getting it wrong it has plenty of time to change.
There is a very good site for checking weather in Europe it is www. Concierge.com. Just going off to have a look.
Bren

Hey Brenda,

Thanks for the weather information and the website. I will have to check it out.

Don't you know we Americans expect rain in London. :rotfl: Just kidding! After my trip there with my parents last year I have already prepared the girls. I told them it will be just like Disney. If it rains you throw on a poncho, put up the umbrella, and keep going. I've already decided to start out the first day trying to see the changing of the guards because I know from experience if it rains they will not do the ceremony, so this will give us a couple of chances.

We actually fly out of Minneapolis on Saturday with a connection in Newark and we arrive in London around 7am Sunday morning.

I was reading a thread about thoughts on Med Excursions. The writer felt it was misleading about making your own perfume. The writer said you only got to make one perfume per party. They felt that the cost did not warrant not being to make your own perfume. FYI...

Sue

We live right outside of Florence, KY. What small world!!!! Which one of your girls is the 12 year old?

Katie just finished her last day of 6th grade yesterday. She is 11 now but turning 12 on the cruise (21st). She had 7 friends sleep-over in the basement last night so she was not IM'ng but she said she saw Clare's post on the Princess Club.

We will also be flying out of Columbus leaving Tuesday afternoon and going to Paris for 3-day pre-cruise trip. We used Delta skymiles for our tickets and I called at midnight on the first day that I could book the tickets 11 months in advance and low and behold there were no flights from Cincinnati. Imagine that a major Delta hub had no room. We are in the habit of driving to Indianapolis or Dayton for good flights.

Thanks Lisa -- I wanted to see what time you were heading back to the airport on Saturday morning. We leave at 7:30 am also.

I am laughing so hard reading all the posts from today!!! You all sound like lunatics, you realize!!! None of you need any illegal smokes from me thats for sure!

Worktoplay, yes you're pretty close - its a downloading music thing. Unfortunately to be legal, you have to pay per song and PER COPY (or thats what you're supposed to do anyway)! See, not that exciting really. Maybe I can come up with something else illegal to tease you all about. I had another idea that Disney shot down - no home baked food allowed on board - darn!!

-Jodie
Darn it all, none of the illegal goods I was thinking of!!!
We are actually flying out of Columbus. Cincy way to expensive when we were ready to book our flights.:scared1:
I totally understand.
Hi Lauren,

I didn't get my documents either. I suspect I won't for a while (my AAA lady is still mad a me for changing our 2 rooms to a GYT) I will leave her voice mail message on Sunday, when I know she's not there.
Don't feel bad about a gift, you will get mine. Lauren what is your cabin number? They changed mine again to 2543.

We're in 2138 and 2140. I don't know who's officially in what room. Don't let me forget to give you your pin. We booked through Cruise Planners so maybe we still have a few days to wait. When should I be panicking?

Alrighty....busy day today.
Congrats to all the graduates, newlyweds, etc... My garage sale was a smash success... 1 box of crap left! I have finished all of the gift purchasing. OH sue...I got something special just for you ;)
I need to relax now...cya later
Steph

Steph,

Congrats on your yard sale! I tried doing it once but it seemed like a lot of work for a little return. It bothered me too that people wanted to pay less than what I considered an already incredibly discounted price. I guess thats the nature of the beast.

I read your blog! Too cute.....I did love the "big balls" lol. I'm not near patient enough to do one...good for you! I'm sure people on the cruises after us will greatly appreciate your insight. I had to laugh at your comment about not understanding the need for a clean garage! Our garage floor is white and only cars we don't drive get to live in there. I get the evil eye from my husband when I bring groceries through it....he actually thinks I should walk around it! So...I don't get the clean garage thing myself, but we certainly have one!

Have a great night!

Marie :cool1: still doing that doc dance!!!

Steph,

You must be just so tired that you're hallucinating up this blinking keychain!  All kidding aside, congratulations on your yard sale!

I'm still waiting to do the document Dance!

I dreamed last night that we were somewhere in Europe and my ATM card wouldn't work. Then the boat I rented (have no idea where I was) was dreadful - had holes in it!! I think I'm reading too many horror stories on these boards. I don't want to be so paranoid that something will get stolen that I forget to enjoy myself!! Is eveyone using the "under the clothes" money belt? Do I need to get those leashes for my kids? :scared:

Oh, my docs were on my front porch last night, and I didn't even realize it!

My husband and I saw the new Pirates movie tonight. pirate: LOVED it! However, I will say that it was too dark for my 7 year old daughter unfortunately. Still deciding whether to take my 9 year old.

Too much to do in the next 11 days! Still haven't thought of a gift - neither legal nor illegal.

Its been SO hot and humid here - 90 this week. The weather in Barcelona looks so wonderful - low in the 60's, high around 75. Can't wait!

I have NOTHING scheduled for tomorrow. I'm sleeping in and going shopping!!!!!!!!!!

-Jodie

I second that...sleeping in tomorrow! Then well...lets just say there's a house that needs to be cleaned with my name on it!

I can't believe it's june! I've been waiting for this month FOREVER....
5 days of school
1 more weekend...
11 days until we board our plane.....

I SO EXCITED!

Steph

ps....can't wait to see your reaction sue to my mystery gift...you'll never forget me! ;)

I was wondering if anyone knew if wearing long shorts that cover the knees would be okay for my DS to wear to the Vatican? I asked our tour guide and he said shoulders and knees must be covered. But than I seen others say no shorts. I am confused. :confused3

I cannot believe that we leave on Friday. I guess I need to start packing. It is looking like we did not get our upgrade to 1st class wish. Oh well one can still dream. My DS will be complaining, he is convinced that he will not be able to sleep on the plane.

I hope everyone is great weekend.
