Has everyone been reading the blogs from those that are sailing now? I am really thinking that my DH and I might want to do a private tour of Naples. Does anyone have extra room in theirs or does anyone want to go together and hire a private car?

We are doing a private tour with DriveAmalfi from Naples of the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii. I'll check to see if we can add two more and what the cost will be.

Reading the various blogs out there on the current Disney Med cruise I saw this:

"did you know that DCL has free video podcasts on the region and shore excursions on I-Tunes? It might help you decide what to do. I wouldn't recommend downloading them unless you have cable or dsl."

I did not know this and ventured to iTunes, searched, and sure enough there are some really cool videos out there. There's some generic ones and then specific videos for each port. On the port videos, they start with a summary of the port's history, some of the main stops and then end with descriptions and shots from each of the shore excursions. Well worth the time to download and view IMHO.

Hello all! I haven't posted here since March, and man did it take a while to catch up! Good thing I didn't have anything important to do at work today

The last several months were consumed with planning our Disney Wedding on May 25th. But, now that we're home and married, I have two weeks to obsessively think about the cruise! Yay!

As it looks as if Magic docks in Barcelona at 3.45 has anyone any idea what time we actually have to be off the ship - is it 9.a.m. as usual. Definitely hope so as have planned for that. If they are actually docking at that time and it is not a misprint they will just have to manage to do it without me.

9 a.m. will be ok but do not want to have to rush on the last day as we have to in Florida. Up before dawn to get our passports back that is just no joke at all.
2 weeks and we will be in Barcelona. Then only a few hours to go before we get on board.

Thanks Princess, Brenda, and Virgil! I was actually quite sick, but everyone swears you couldn't tell (and how I looked is all that matters right? ). It was an amazing, amazing day!

And a happy belated birthday to you, Virgil!


Here's a question... If they're kicking us off the boat at 9am, and we have a 2:15pm flight from Barcelona to Paris, should I try to get an earlier flight? I was ok with it because I figured it would save us from having to rush around, but I don't want to be sitting at the airport all day, either.

Our flight out of Barcelona is about 1 p.m. and our plans are to get off the ship in a leisurely manner this time,collect our luggage and we have arranged a car for 10a.m. Bear in mind you have to be at the airport to check in 2 hours before your flight as well.
