Has everyone been reading the blogs from those that are sailing now? I am really thinking that my DH and I might want to do a private tour of Naples. Does anyone have extra room in theirs or does anyone want to go together and hire a private car?

Sue, the 38 pounds blows my mind. I was thinking today that I really need to watch it over the next 2 weeks. Then I went and had some ice cream.

BTW, nobody has asked me what my illegal gift was going to be!!?? Aren't you even curious??!! I'm very disappointed in you all!

I'm still stuck - can't get the creative juices flowing. Maybe I'll go have some more ice cream.

No docs yet, but UPS did bring my DH's tux today (e-bay). Cross your fingers - hope it fits.

I feel your pain during the last days of school, because I am also a high school librarian. But gratefully, my last days were last week. Besides the last days of school, I got to pack up my office because I'm moving schools and leave for a quick family reunion in Branson, MO. So glad that stress is over. Now to get unpacked at the new school.
My first summer reading will be The Messenger by Daniel Silva.
I also have a 12 yr. old daughter, who is still in Branson with the grandparents. She'll be so spoiled by the time she gets home. I'm sure both of the DD's will talk on their princess thread, so they can get to know each other.

I'm looking for our documents to come tomorrow, but I have no homemade cookies to give the UPS guy - maybe store bought ones if he's lucky.

Sorry it took a while to get back to this. I am a high school librarian and haven't finished chosing my books for the cruise. We are from northern KY (about 10 miles from Cincinnati,Ohio). I happened to stumble upon this site and then this tread. I have to say it has all be very interesting and very informative. Once I figure out how to get my daughter linked up with everybody else I plan to. We have a couple days left of school so I will have more time next week. My husband and I are both teachers so needless to say we are looking forward to relaxing on this cruise. This is our 4th DC. We would also like to come to the get together at Roy's suite so once I figure out who and how to tell them that will be another thing checked off my list.
Again, this has all been really interesting and I'm having a great time reading back through all the posts!

Another Cincinnatian here! Are you flying out of CVG? If so what day?

My documents were mailed yesterday and currently they are in Louisville KY - yipee

Also forgot to mention they are kicking us all off the ship by 9:00 a.m. when we return to port

You guys have been super busy! 3 new pages since last night - that's what happens when there are illegal gift rumors out there!

Speaking of gifts - I'm thinking bat guano - for you out there not in the know, Austin has the largest colony of urban bats in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD! I can just walk down the street to the bridge and get some - I promise to tie it up with a little bow

Bracelets are in - I am sending them out tomorrow to those of you who PM'd me with your address. If anyone else wants them before you leave, just let me know o/w I will bring them with. They are actually pretty cute.

Hello Everyone... We are now in Roses, Costa Brava Spain. This is Day 2 of our Trip. I hope everyone get's a chance to read this and learns from our UNFORTUNATE MISTAKES!!!!

Ladies GUARD your purses at all times! Men guard your wallets, All guard breifcases, cameras or anything of value at all times. ESPECIALLY your children.
Yesterday we landed in Barcelona Spain after a 15 hrs of flying. We sucessfully collected our luggage, went through customs and got in our rental car extremely jet lagged. We got a bit lost but we were still on track. We ended up w/ a flat tire and my purse was stolen! It's all a SCAM.

There's a GROUP of THIEVES that will BLOW out your TIRES, TELL you about it and then COME UP to you on SCOOTERS and take your belongings. Luckly, I had an extremely SMALL COACH Purse that held nearly nothing. They ended up w/ credit, debit some US dollars and some allergy meds. BUT NOT my KEYS or PASSPorts. Do NOT Pull off the side of the road like we did. HERTZ later told us about this and suggests either going all the way to the police or PETRO (Gas ) Station. So just drive the car until you get there.

MAKE SURE before you leave that you COPY your PASSPORTS, Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Health Cards, anything that's important. Have two copies, and but a copy in your luggage. And give another one to the other person you are traveling with.

WATCH your Children at all times, especially the young ones.

Luckily we did this and it made calling all the cc companies easier. They had already tried to get money w/in 30 mins of the incident. If you can get notifications sent to your phone like CHASE bank does set this up. We noticed right away that my purse was gone. I left it in the car unlocked while we were pulled off the side of the road. It could have been a lot worse. My kids could have been taken or one of us hurt. This is definatly NOT the US or even the UK.

My husband is a pilot for ATA Airlines and I've been over to Europe twice. We've never experience anything like this before.

So, watch out for those gypsies with quick fingers.

Welcome Booklover, we are on the north side of Cincinnati in West Chester. Please get your daughter Claire to post on June 16, 2007 Princess Club thread on the Cruise meets or PM with email or IM. The thread just started yesterday and 4 princesses (Katie, Jaclyn, Lauren & Jenna) IM'd each other all night. My daughter, Katie has her last day of school today and a celebratory sleep-over with 6 girls tonight.

My wife has packed 3 suitcases so far for our daughters and herself. They will probably need a 4th suitcase just for shoes. We have the mandatory shoe holder that hangs from the door. Received a voice mail from some French guy -- could hardly understand but I believe it was from BS Transports who are picking us up at CDG airport to take us Disneyland Paris.

LisaTex are you using the same company? What time are you getting picked up on Saturday morning? We are using DCL ground transport from the BCN to the port.

UPS have just delivered my envelope at about 1.p.m. have not opened yet but just about to do so.

Anyone else got theirs yet.

Dreadful story about Spain and the car problems. I do know they warn you about this in some parts of Spain and also do not leave anything on the back seat of the car with the windows open or door unlocked.

I sang the song...no brown truck. It is 7am here in calif. so it's a little early. OK just read icunurses blog. Finally someone did an excursion I am doing. She went on Jumping back to eternal rome. She said it was great! I'm so relieved that someone liked it! No one else has posted their excursions yet, so I wait.
