HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Trying to catch up on all the posts before we go to brunch. Watched the videos of the Magic leaving PC yesterday. It's hard to believe she is finally on her way to the Med and soon we will be too! This past week I kept telling my family, "Ooooh, the Magic leaves for the Med on Saturday!" , and on Saturday I was like so excited because this was the day she was going to start her journey and my family just kept rolling their eyes at me. What is wrong with them? DH wanted to know if I had better things to do with my time besides sit on the computer all day? And I said, "Tons, but this is more important!"

I think next time I will just take a trip without them and see if they like that! Note to self -I need to sign up for one of those Mother's only trips.

bartty - DH has a tux and usually wears it, but he is thinking about leaving it home this time(to save on packing) and just wear a suit.

We are not from the Chicago area, but we are about 5 hours west of you!

I don't know if you've read back through all the pages, but we lucked out and got the Roy Suite for this cruise so we are hosting a DIS meet and greet in the Suite on the first sea day. Everyone is welcome so if you and your family would like to join us just let me know. I am keeping a list with everyone's cabin numbers because I plan to send out a reminder on the 16th.

Also, I am trying to put together a list with all the information for everyone such as when you are arriving in Barcelona and what excursions you are planning on doing. This way we can see who is going on the same excursions so we can look for each other. On page 115 there is a list of questions if you want to look at them.

I know you are still trying to figure everything out so just let me know when you have made your plans and if you want to be added to the list.

I almost have the list done and will be posting a copy here pretty soon. The last couple of days have been really busy. DH's parents came in for the weekend before going on to his sister's house in Kentucky until graduation.

Brittany had her final prom last night and David flew in for the weekend. We hosted all the girls and their dates for appetizers then put them in the limo to go to another house for dinner. They came back here after the prom(around 12:30am) to change and then headed out to the parent sponsored after prom party which lasted until 3:30am. Then they all returned to sleep here for the night(or what was left of it). They are still sleeping!

Now I have one thing down and two left to go(open house and graduation) before I can totally concentrate on the Med cruise. That's all I am going to think about that last week before we leave.

In one month we are leaving for the Magic cruise. I can hardly wait. This will be my sons high school graduation present. My husband had gastric bypass so he would not be overweight for this cruise. He has lost 140 pounds. He is looking really good. I am so excited.

Hope all of the moms have a fabulous day! I have requested for my mom's day gift to not be bothered while I stalk the May 12 trip report.

Did anyone see the picture of the door on the May 12.. I think I need more stuff. Maybe I'll head to michaels crafts today and see if I can find more Don't want to be upstaged!

I hope that if we do have a celebrity, it will be Joey Fatone. Since he'll be just finishing up dancing next week. He'll need some time off before he heads over to europe. Have to wait for his kid to finish school. I have it all planned for him

Marie- I was at walmart, and I didn't see dropps..i'll look again. I did search the net to see if anyone had it, but no luck. Gonna look again today.

I spoke with my TA on friday. All will be charged for my post trip plans on monday So it's winding down! If I could start packing now I would! Although, I did take my party dresses to the drycleaners.

None of you know me, but I "well up" at everything, happy, sad, a great commercial etc. People laugh at me cause I am such a goof. But I gotta tell you, that 3 1/2 min. video totally did it for me. I am sure it's just the overall excitement of going to places I've never been, taking my daughter for the first time too. Going on a disney cruise for the first time! I am totally getting excited.
I think I will have my daughter make a countdown calendar today for me!

I gotta get off these boards! Have a great day all.

Happy Mother's Day!

I got roses and a dead rat in the back yard (which DH took care of thank goodness--but it IS Mother's Day!) I am just glad the DR came AFTER the Eurokids were finished with their party--

Watching the Magic sail away and waiting for the trip reports is making our trip so much closer! It looked like the ship was not too full when I saw it on Youtube.

I also read a rumor of a certain famous person being on A cruise this summer-- If we have a celebrity I would be excited!

Sue I am starting Medifast when it gets here this week. With 4 weeks to go wonder how much I could lose

Good Luck Teresa! It gets a lot easier after the third day! Make sure you drink lots of water - 64 oz of water a day. It does help!

Hi everyone,

Wonderful to think that Magic is on its way to us at last I cannot believe it. All my good intentions, losing weight, getting fitter have just gone away. Never mind you will have to put up with the old Bren and as long as I am onboard I dont mind.

Mothering sunday here was some while ago so seems strange to hear you mention it. Hope the magic does not encounter too much wind. We have had some dreadful gusts lately and the atlantic can be an unpredictable place at times. As long as most of the wine gets over without breaking we shall be o.k.

Have posted the video clip to my two daughters of the magic leaving - so wish they were coming with us. If I win the 1million on the premium bonds on the first June will definitely persuade them they can take time off work.

Premium bonds in June are giving prizes of 5 x 1 million so surely they can spare one for me.

We usually bring a little extra pressie for the servers and hostess but cannot think what to get them this year - thinking cap on time is running out.

Want to buy myself a laptop and have been looking at the site at the airport where you can get duty free prices. Will have to phone them tomorrow and see what they can do.

Well we went over to our lake house on Conneaut Lake today and my DB found something. While cleaning up the yard, weeding, etc... we saw a bunch of duck feathers around a mole/vole hole. Did the mole/vole (?sp) take the baby duck down the hole to eat it? Yuck!

I went to Walmart to find tablets for washing and they didn't have the traditional tablets but they had something called Dropps. They are supposed to be envirornmentally friendly, good in all washing machines etc. They are little liquid packets about the size of a 1" square. If you can't find any I'll bring extra they came 20 in a pack.

Are these like the Cascade tablets for the dishwasher? Are they something that could break open in your suitcase? Otherwise they sound perfect! Thanks

They could definitely break, but they are a little smaller than the cascade diswasher tablets. I will put them in a plastic bag just in case. I've had all kinds of containers open in my suitcase over the years and I'm not a big fan of cleaning up messes! Steph don't go crazy shopping for some just tell me how many to give you. I have 20 and I don't plan on doing that much wash.

Also, Steph...thanks for the Utube link....I loved it!!!! My husband came in while I was watching it and just shook his head! He thinks I'm weird! We went to dinner last night with another couple and I got pretty abused explaining this trip and how much fun it will be and how much fun these boards are. They all thought I was nuts! Fortunately....I don't care!!!!

Happy Mother's Day everyone! I've working alot the past few days and had lots of posts to catch up on! Also about the laundry - I put a handful of bounce sheets in the ziplock bag too. They are nice and flat that way plus make the bag smell nice. Once I brought a ziplock bag full of dry detergent but this time I'd be afraid security might think it's some other white substance if you know what I mean! I love this group - you all make me smile. The get together should be fun!

WVMD - We are flying out of Pittsburgh 6/15, the day after you. I wish we were going the day before but I stretched my vacation time as far as I could.

Alrighty, I got a last minute invite to another single moms house for a bbq. It's nice here in cali today around 80's so the kids will swim and we'll drink...oops i mean talk...ok no i meant drink!
