Hi everyone, sorry have been a little bit busy here and the weather has been wonderful. Just feel so wrong to be thinking about holidays when people are hurting so much and feel so for the families. It takes us back here to Dunblane when all of the little children and teacher were murdered at their school in Scotland. In those days we had our lovely Princess Di to go and give some comfort to parents.

Have given up on the idea of Palo brunch and just getting down to planning what to do in some of the ports where we are doing our own thing.

Was watching Francesca's Italy on television the other night and he was going round Naples. Found a lovely little churth Capella Sansevero but think it is closed on a Tuesday such a shame. Have sent them an email to see if it is closed during summer or just winter months.

Have to rush now Parish Council meeting tonight and been covering for my friends cattery today also.Never a dull moment will be glad to get aboard with a book in my hand.

We only have a few excursions booked, as we are just planning on going ashore at the other ports and shop around (CHAARGE IT!! )

Are you flying in on the 16th, or coming in before?

We have a few meets planned, shirts you can order, etc.

Silver7 - Hi. We are coming in on the 16th. I pray we have no delays but the flight is supposed to land around noon so hopefully that will give us a little small window for problems. We have got off the boat before and just looked at local sights with no problems, but I am concerned about the language issue. Also, do you know of a good book that would give us ideas as to what to see at each port. Things that we maybe could do on our own. Do you know how far it is from where the ship will dock to most of the towns. Sorry to ask so many questions but I am about to panic - I normally plan things down to the minute. This is driving me crazy. The thoughts of me doing a med cruise for 11 nights in less than 2 months is certainly CRAZY but we decided life is short so we may never get this chance again. So, were going.

If you go on cruisecritic.com and then look up Europe there will be a ton of ideas of what to do on each port. I bought a Fodor's on Italy, but for a cruise I find the info on that website far more valuable. Welcome to the board and good luck in your planning.

Hi. I have just done probably the craziest thing - I booked the 6-16 med cruise. Had no plans to go, had thought about it once or twice but suddenly I have booked it. The cost of the cruise plus the huge airfare is going to put a damper on our excursion money. I need help trying to decide if we could make it doing it on our own. Getting off the boat and figuring out where to go and how to see just the highlights. I really don't have anything specific in mind except for the Vatican. I would appreciate any help or ideas. We have sailed two previous times with Disney and with some other lines. It is me, DH, DS(15) and DS(2). DS(2) and him being free is one of the main reasons I went ahead and booked. Couldn't hardly beat the price with him being free.

Good idea...just let me know when to add. The problem with the logo on the medhead website was just an error by cafepress. No copywrite issues. However, I can't find the "disboards" logo on my computer. Can you send it to me again? I'll put that one back up too.

Mickeymom923- I was just curious as to when you were flying in and where you were flying out of. I can't believe the price of the airfare. I feel as if I am buying a portion of those planes. Anyway, I keep telling my husband it's okay because we did our 2 year old free for the cruise. I have to keep reminding him of that. We have NEVER spent this much for a vacation.

Also, some other questions if anyone knows:
I read somewhere there would be the pirate party and sailaway party. How about the character breakfast? Any thing special as far as other activities? Also, what about the shows? Will they be the same? Thanks so much for any information or tips!

Good luck with your planning. We are all in the final stages of trip planning. Welcome to our crazy med head group!

To mickeymom and earpiemom...I have made door magnets for our group. If you'd like mickey heads with your names on them pm your info to me and I will have them on my door after we board. I will bring any leftovers to Leilani's welcome on sea day too.

Anyone else out there lurking on the magnets...our laminator broke this week so there has been a reprieve..I won't finish them until the 1st week of may (after the replacement part arrives) so anyone that wants one pm me with your names or reply on the blog.

If you want to see them, I did post a picture some pages back ago. Around the first week of april. Scroll back and you can see them.

I have also received an email from cafepress that the logo is almost fixed. This is the non pirate one, just the banner. That may be all we get. Maybe brian and I can brainstorm on another logo?? (thats a big hint to brian who actually created the logo!)
Look at the 1st reposit. cruise's first page. They have a link to their cafepress...it has the itinerary..which is cute. Anyways, just keep checking the link hopefully the clothes will pop back up again this weekend.

We got our tshirts...they are awesome! I ordered my son the tshirt with the skull in an adult medium and he would really like one in a small. Kids are so picky! lol I hope you can get the skull up again or something similar. If not he'll get over it.

When I keep looking at the site for the shirts they only have the baseball jersey & shirts for youths. Do you know if they will have women shirts or another choice in adult?
