Hey Yall!

Greetings from Orlando! Just a quick trip (was going to see the shuttle go off but it was postponed and had to use the tickets anyway!)

Met up with LisaTX last night--what a hoot!

How about a running list of who is in charge of what or a list of meets?

Mickey Green Door magnets--(who offered to do these? I forgot I am sorry)
Steph (taysmom) will make these. They are different colors. I just need name you want on it and your room number to put on the back. So no one can swipe it!
Bracelets--anyone interested in heading these up?

Palo Brunch--First Day at sea (everyone makes own, but waiting for confirmation of secret room) Silver 7

Palo tea (Second day at sea--Friday, 3pm) Everyone makes own, waiting on room. (Silver 7)

What about the first day meet? Steph (taysmom) will make these arrangements too. Just need to know how many. I am thinking 1ish. Of course it all depends on the lines to get on the ship and the time they'll let us get on!

I put my responses in the above quote. And who will be in barcelona on the 16th/who is arriving on the 16th? It's so much closer..I can't believe it will be so soon. I am ready for my vacation!

Steph....If you need any help at all with anything, just let me know. I was going to offer to plan the meet on the first day, but since you jumped on it, if you want to do it together or need anything I can do that. Are we supposed to PM you our info for the magnets?

About the excursions....we can book them at 3am Sunday morning? As in about 12 hours from now? Or 3am Monday morning? I am sorry, I confuse easily! I will go look for my packet although I am not at my apartment and I am afraid I may have left it there. I am scrambling to get our excursions done!!

I will go register on disneycruise and add to my wishlist. Thank you for those tips, Virgil.

We arrive in Barcelona the morning of the 14th and are staying at the Hispanos 7 Suiza for 2 nights.

Hi Everyone,

Patricia we land at about the same time as you on the 15th, are you flying in from Heathrow or Gatwick?

Just wondering what time we can book from here in England - probably 1 or 2 p.m. I would think. If someone could be kind enough to tell me what time it will be in Florida can just about work out the difference of 5 hours.

Weather here still warm and dry but they forecast snow and gales next week and I can certainly do without that.

Just wondering what everyone is planning on booking or has booked.

Think we have decided on 3 main port excursions,
Palermo - Boat ride to Zingaro Park.
(Just depending on what time it leaves in the morning.)
Olbia - probably the train ride
La Spezia - Cinque Terre trip in the morning.

In marseille will probably do our own thing and perhaps have a trip to Chateau D'f
In Villefranche will perhaps catch the train to Eze and Monaco but will decide on that later on

I'd love the help with lunch or if you want to take it on go for it! I had asked CM's what to do and they said just notify them 1 month before so they can set the tables together. I am not familiar with any of the restaurants, so if you have a suggestion which would be best. Of course, I think all of us early birds should plan to meet at the terminal at 11:30am and takeover!
Did anyone get their planning DVD today. We got ours and I have promptly watched...they skipped right over sardinia. Interesting?!? I still have 14 days until I can book our shore excursions. But then 75 days until we leave!

I probably won't make them until right before, since I have to sneak the laminator at my work and I need to get some "samples" from home depot. hee hee

Here's a rundown of events so far:
6/16 (sat)Board our ship! All who can meet for lunch.
6/17 (sun)Sea Day, Palo Brunch and Formal Night
6/18 (mon) Palermo 7am-5:30 *possible palo dinner night
6/19 (tues) Naples 7:30-7:30 probably not a good night for palo as we have a long excursion day. *But we should plan a drink meet on board to recap the day since we'll all be doing something different! I'll call this night caps in the future!
6/20 (wed) Sardinia 8am-6pm *possible palo dinner night
6/21 (thurs) Rome 7:30-9:30 I'll be too tired for dinner! *night caps
6/22 (fri) Sea Day Palo Tea and Night event, I think semi formal.
6/23 (sat) Florence 7:30-7:30 another long excursion day. A night event is planned, I believe pirate night.
6/24 (sun) Marseille 8-9:30pm *night caps
6/25(mon) Ville Franche 8-11:30 There's a bunch of people already going to be at the casino winning our trip costs back...who's joining in! BTW this is also a formal night.
6/26 (tues) our last day at sea *possible Palo dinner night
6/27 (wed) Everyone quick get off the ship there are others who want on!!!

My formal night info comes from earlier in this thread and is not guaranteed. As I wrote it down instead of quoting!

As you can see marie, there are 3 good palo nights. Plus 2 additional if you don't want to do the formal nights. I'd like to do 1 at least. I am undecided if it's better to do it in the beginning or at the end. I've never been on a DCL so I've just heard the hype about Palo's. You can decide which day you think would be best.
Also who's having dinner when...or does it matter on this cruise. I know we signed up for the late seating, anyone else. I've seen rumors on the excursion thread or the other all sailings med one that it might be open seating. Which means what? that you can go whenever and sit with whomever?

Allrighty, enough questions. Hope this helps and thanks marie for booking the dinner.

I'm willing to take it on if you'd like. This will actually only be my second Disney cruise, so I am not to savvy about the restaurants either. Does anyone have a preference? I didn't get a planning DVD yet but when I spoke to my TA yesterday to call in final payment she said she was sending me some materials so maybe mine is coming. One more hour until I can book excursions!

We requested the early seating and a table for just the 5 of us. We had an absolutely awful expereince with our table mates on our last cruise. We would be happy to share with any friendly DIS'ers though if anyone has the early seating. I would love to do a Palo dinner with DIS'ers too! I am getting nervous that I am not going to be able to navigate the website. I am awful with computers....50 minutes!
