Great idea! Also, is your daughter bringing her pins with her on the cruise? Jeff seems to think he needs to bring his entire collection.
I'm still researching the tours, I'm going to the bookstore today as reading about the excursions on Disney's website is too time consuming. I hope I get my book in the mail soon!

There is so much information on these boards that's its a bit overwelming.

Is anyone taking any private tours? I'm just trying to make this a positive experience for my son who probably won't enjoy sitting on a bus for hours.

Last week I packed warm clothes due to the cold weather in Fl. Guess what every day was 70 & up. Hard to believe last week I was swimming, this week shoveling snow. Are you going to the the Princess Pirate Party 3/2 we were there last Friday night. It was awsome. We walked on EVERY ride.

We are going to the Pirate and Princess Party on March 8. My friend and I actually just finished our costumes. We couldn't settle on pirates OR princesses, so we are pirate princesses!! I can't wait for the party, it should be great!!! I hope to do a little swimming myself. THEN, when I get back, it's time to book excursions!

We plan to get to the port as early as possible, hopefully meet for lunch, and then maybe do a little more sightseeing in Barcelona before getting back on the ship for the sailaway party and dinner!!! Just typing that got me really excited. This is going to be so great. Are we aware yet of what time we are allowed to check in and board?

Just looked on the site regarding car hire and sent an email to Disney as they requested. Have the prices for the car hire but unfortunately they all seem to come with driver and are far from reasonable. Have the prices if anyone wants to know.

Also they have given me the timings for some of the other excursions.

Palermo -
Boat Ride to Zingaro Park. 8:15 am 8 - 8.5 hours long.
Mysterious Palermo. 12:45 pm 4 - 4.5 hours long.
Sights of Palermo. 8:15 am or 12:45 pm 4 - 4.5 hours long.

Naples.

Either private car hire or
Treasures of Herculaneum. 8:45 am 4.5 - 5 hours long.

Sardinia

Moon Valley 8:00 am or 12:45 pm 4.5 - 5 hours long.
Train to Gallura 9:00 am 5.5 - 6 hours long.

La Spezia

Cinque Terre 8:45 am or 1:15 pm 4.5 - 5 hours long.

Villefranche

Nice and Eze with wine and cheese 8:30 am or 1:45 pm 4 - 4.5 hours long

Still need to know about boarding times but if you email DCL.Shore.Excursions@disney.com they seem to have all the information there.

I was told yes on the phone.

I am just trying to finish up some school work and packing before I head to Disney in the morning! I will try to check in on the thread from time to time when I'm down there to see if there are any developments. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Ok we finally have airfare. It just was so high, around $1350.00 and then yesterday, expedia had a bargain rate, of course it wouldn't give you the times of the flights, but for $998.00, I saved over a $1,000.00. I grabbed it while i could. We will be getting in the morning of the 15th and we leave out the afternoon of the 28th. Not sure about the whole hotel thing yet. I having trouble with hotel rooms for three. Not sure why. I've tried to figure out if Renissance(spelling) is close to everything? It's starting to seem for real now. Of course this weekend, I need to figure out the hotel and the excursions. Guess there are worse pressures to be under. lol

thats great! I still need to pay my additional taxes they are charging me for flying out of heathrow. Thats it thought. Theres a website www.bookings.com or no s anyway, they have maps so you can see the whole city and hotels. Like expedia for barcelona.

Hi Marie,

Yes, Jenna,will be bringing all of her pins. She plans on buying and trading on the cruise.

Marie, I am not booking any private tours. I was told if I book a private tour, my DD will not be able to stay on the ship. The only way she can stay on the ship, is if I book my tour with Disney. Not 100% sure about this.

Jenna will be on the ship for 2 of the tours. I have one day planned for the two of us on the beach at Olbia Sardinia anyone what to join us?

Car 1-3 guests from Civitavecchia is $1300 for 8 hours.
with driver and guide is is $1900 for 1-2 guests.
Private van with driver 1-7 guests is $1500 and with driver and guide is $2300.
Private mini bus with driver and guide for up to 11 guests is $2600.

Do we pay the gratuities on our room charge or with cash (american or euros)?
We just went shopping today for some "cruise clothes" and shoes. I can't believe it's right around the corner..a little over 3 months away.
I bought a new suitcase 2 weeks ago and we just got some new clothes and some dresses for the kid. I guess we have 3 formal nights..does anyone know how formal those are? Can we wear skirts (for the ladies and scottish gents ) I am just so excited, but at the same time trying to get all my work accomplished and closing out the school year. I am now starting to feel the rush to get everything done. I want to feel "relaxed".
I called dcl regarding the wireless access and they said they do have wireless available. I have to do a little work the last sea day we have, and I need wireless to access it. yes, i'll be the one by the pool with the laptop. Sucks to be the only one who can pay the employees!

Count me in for Palo's Brunch/Tea. (that is if my neice and nephew will go to the kids clubs for at least a little while.) Do any of you guys' kids NOT like to go? For that matter - trying to remember - do any of you have kids in the 8ish -10ish age range?

We are going to do a few of the private tours. There will most likely only be 4 of us so if any one at the last minute wants to come along - you are welcome to.

I think we are doing the Olbia beach thing too.

Pretty bummed - am taking my nephew to WDW for SB - had tickets to see the launch - but I guess everyone knows about the hail I guess an extra day at WDW is not a bad backup plan.

WVMD - are you guys the ones flying in from Paris 6/16 - AM on Air France?
