June 15 '08 Mexican Riv. Cruise

Oh My ~ go to Disneyland for 5 hours today and when I get back, there are 5 PAGES on our DIS Board! You have all been very busy!!! :)
DS had Parent Teacher Conferences today but I politely asked his teacher if I could have his yesterday and she agreed. I thought DL would not be very crowded since it was after Memorial Day Weekend, etc. WRONG! There must have been 20 school groups there! It opened at 9a,we were in the park at 9:10a and rushed over to Nemo and there was already a 2 hour wait. No thanks ~ did 8 other rides, went to CA and had lunch and 2 rides and then home! Gorgeous day and told every CM we were going on a Disney Cruise!
Anyway - Very excited to see the great FE Exchange! I will make sure my sister gets the info for her room.

The Kids will be dressed for pirate night and the adults will have something piratey going on but not sure exactly. DS has graciously offered his doo rag or pirate hat to his uncle.

Group Pic sounds great as does pj breakfast. Maybe if they do a late movie, we could do a "slumber party" in the theater?

We're pretty easy going so let us know the plans and we'll try to make it!

DS has t ball at 8a so better sign off ~ I'm exhausted!

16 days to go!!!

Oh! We were going to go to DL today but were too tired!

Thanks for sharing the gift exchange stuff with your sister.

A slumber party in the theater would be great!!!

I just keep thinking two weeks from today I will be at Disneyland and they can't find me.

We will be at DL 2 weeks from today too!!!! I made reservations at Goofy's Kitchen for the 13th to celebrate the girls birthdays! We should meet up!

We are going to Goofy's at 10:40AM...then off to the park for a little. It will just be me and the girls as DH will not get in till late that night. Then off to the Del Mar Fair the next day then off to the ship on Sunday!!!!!!!!!

Have a wonderful time at the "Happiest Place on Earth" ~ we love Goofy's Kitchen! Too bad you couldn't make it to DL - it was crowded but we still had a great time! DS and his best friend kept thanking us Mom's for it being the "best day of our lives" - so sweet!

Great Magnets - I'm afraid our doors will look a little plain ~ guess I'd better get crackin' :)

The spreadsheet is on its way to your email boxes.

PS - If I missed any graduations on the list can you please let me know.

THANKS!!!!

You sure are organized! Thanks a lot. Looking forward even more to the cruise!

Breakfast...what's that? Since I wont have to work, I don't think I will be awake until late. Wait, I have a 2 yr old. I guess will be on his schedule.

Yes, your 2 year old will def keep you on schedule!

Scrolling through all the pictures just now...I almost started crying I'm so happy! I can't believe it's almost here after all this time!

Evil Queen is one of my favorites too. I have a good story for that. We were at WDW and went back to SSR for a nap mid-day. Well, the kids would NOT go to sleep. I kept going in the room and telling them, in my good-mom voice, to go to sleep or we wouldn't be able to stay for the fireworks, etc. Well, it didn't work. Finally, I went in there and DS has his shirt of, running around the room, and DD is wrapped up in the curatains playing. (Older DD was dutifully trying to sleep.) So I LOST IT, started yelling at everybody to get their butts in bed, and slammed the door HARD when I left the room. (And they all did end up going to sleep after that.) So when I came out, DH is sitting on the couch looking at me, and I shouted, "And what's the matter with YOU?!?!?!" And he quietly, very quietly, said, "I'm scared."

The next day at MK, they bought me an Evil Queen t-shirt, and I have been wearing it proudly ever since.

LOL:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

LOVE THIS ONE TOO! DH & DS have matching Incredibles T-shirts (actually Joey has one too) that I have ready to pack.

For Pirate Night I was planning on getting shirts on the ship for myself, DH & DS (DD already has hers planned :goodvibes ) and wearing bandanas or pirate ears....I really want my DH to wear the pirate goofy ears :lmao: even if just long enough to take a picture. Since it's our first cruise I don't think they realize how much people dress up and get into the Pirate spirit aaarrrrhhhh...I bet they'll be more into the costume thing next time around. I'm really looking forward to watching Pirates on Deck 10 that night under the stars :cloud9: That may be a good night for a slumber party

Hi Everyone!

With as much as Brooklyn has been doing to keep our cruise list up to date, I volunteered to help schedule the events to take something off her plate. Thanks Brooklyn for all you've done acting as Chief Coordinator and posting all the magnets for us to use :worship: After reading through all the posts there have been so many great ideas for "Meet & Greets". As a a compulsive planner I thought maybe we could make some tentative plans:

Suggestions for tentative meets:

Un-Official Terminal Meet:

Wear something or carry something in the lovely lime green Dis Board color so we can identify each other. Early Birds can meet in line and later arrivals can meets us inside the terminal prior to boarding.

Official Meet @ the Sail Away Party:

Let's meet on the left side of the stage (when loking at the stage). There is plenty of room over there and the kids will enjoy dancing up near the stage. :dance3: If there is anyone that wants to watch from Deck 10 maybe you could come down and say hello to those stuck on deck 9 with out little ones :)

Group Picture

Date, time and place can be determined. Having three sea days gives us lots of time to get this in. We will post info on Brooklyn's door. Worst case, we can do it at breakfast (what a memory, all of us in our pj's )

Pajama Breakfast

How about the last sea day @ 9 in Lumiere's? For those that do not want to do pajama's, please come anyway. It will be a great time to get together and share cruise experiences.

ANY other suggestions are more than welcome. Also, any ideas on a name for our group?

2 weeks from tomorrow!!!!!:cool1:

Sounds Great but we don't have lime green shirts and I think DS is making something as a surprise for Mom & kids. I do have a lime green beach tote (if I can find it) and will carry that if I can. If I can't find it, then at least I'll know who to "look for" since you all will be "glowing" :rotfl2:

See you all soon!!!

My grp of 12 is totally doing pirate night all decked out. The 12 of us have full contumes! I even got a toddler pirate girl outfit for my 18 month old! We're all very excited!

Who is doing tux's for the guys? If so where are you renting them from?

I'm also thinking of matching shirts to wear at some point. Where is the perfect place to wear matching T's?

Thanks for the reply to what time we need to get to port! I think we're planning on around 10:30 - 11.

This all looks great. I will add this info to my cruise list.

We are going to have so much fun:woohoo: :woohoo:

As requested here are some pirate night pictures:

It was too windy on the Atlantic for Mickey to zip line :( So hopefully we get to see it this time....Can anyone take a guess how much extra $ Mickey makes for doing that zip line???

Turkey legs are served on Deck 9, port side after the party.

Thanks for the pics! Looks like so much fun.

Good tip about the turkey legs! For the about of times we goto DL (about 15 times a year for the last 2 years and less for the 3 yrs prior), we have never eaten a TL. This will be the perfect time to try one!
