June 14, 2009 WONDER-ful cruise

txvjc- We are doing the same, checking out Nassau for a couple of hours, then returning to the ship. Since it's just a 4 day trip, we want to have as much time on the Wonder as possible.

We will try to get our Palo ressies for Brunch at midnight tonight since we are at the 75 day mark.

My kids and I just bought our fish extender material today. It is a Cars print. Now we just have to figure out how to make one.

We (our family plus BIL, SIL, and nephew) are not getting off the boat at Nassau either! Sounds like it will be a great day for a pool party! :cool1:

I'll see some of you online at midnight, trying to book Palo brunch for our 17th anniversary!

txvjc - No worries ~ I'm sure we won't even hear any noise from your one-year-old because we have two eight-year-old boys! They will cancel each other out! ;)

We're thinking about trying the stingray excursion at CC. I've heard good things from my TGM friends. Have any of you tried it? Other than that, we'll probably just rent an inner tube or two.

Kristie :)

I'll let you know how the sting ray adventure is after we cruise with DCL in May. I am doing that and both my husband and I are parasailing. :)

twinboysmommy- Is our day at sea (June17th) your actual anniversary? It is our 14th and we are trying for brunch, too.

To go along with this year's theme, is anyone else CELEBRATING anything on the cruise?party:

It was a late night but we got our Palo brunch (11am) and Flounders for Pirate night like we wanted so we're very excited now.

Question for those that may know...if you book Flounders until 12 but decided to pick up early (lets say 11) do they charge you for the whole time or just until you pick up? I'm fine with it either way since its only a few dollars...just curious.

Yesterday I scheduled my little one in the nursery during the pirate party. I think the fireworks may be too much for him.

Did anyone else schedule brunch?

We scheduled time in the nursery during the Pirate Party too. Our little one will probably be asleep by the time the party starts and we don't won't to miss it.

We got Palo brunch reservations @ 11:00.

We aren't planning any excursions in Nassau. We will get off the boat for a few hours to explore and then spend the rest of the day on the ship. We may snorkel at Castaway Cay.

We will be celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary. Our actual anniversary is June 24th, but we couldn't cruise that week so we are celebrating a week early.

We will be celebrating our 17th anniversary!

And I also stayed up late last night to get us a Palo brunch reservation for 10:30.

Kristie :)

Just saw this - no, our actual anniversary is July 2. We will just be celebrating a couple weeks early. That's okay - we are usually busy with 4th of July celebrations on our actual anniversary! :)

Bashful in TN- Looks like we have been married exactly one week more than you guys:love:

We were up at midnight, too. I was surprised at how smoothly the reservation process went. We got Palo's for 10:30 brunch. I hope they fix enough food for all of us!:rotfl:

We booked the Blackbeard's Cay Stingray & Beach Adventure in Nassau. For CC I just reserved snorkling equipment & floats. I reserved Palo at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday & reserved some spa time for myself also on Wednesday. I did have a lot of trouble with the web site but I phoned Disney & they helped me out. I had attempted to book all items at one time & then simply click submit for all of them, as you do when you're shopping, but apparently that can lock up your reservation for 30 minutes & you lose whatever you were reserving. I found out through Disney you have to select each item one at a time. They are working on resolving that issue! I am just sooo excited as well. Happy cruising!:cool1:

I just booked us for the 10:00 Stingray Adventure on CC. One of my students' parents raved about it and I've heard good things from some other people.

The boys are excited and think it will be "cool"! :cool2:

June was the best time for all 12 of us to cruise, but this is what we are celebrating:

Our Mom's retirement in October
Our 15 year wedding anniversary - Sept. 17th
Mike and Michelle's engagement (the wedding is Sept 19th)

What a great way to celebrate these wonderful events! :woohoo:

we will be there June 14th. First cruise for my DS (age 12). We got room 6634. Very excited. He's looking forward to the Oceaneers Lab and Castawy Cay. I hope he's able to find some friends.

Just wanted to say hi to our fellow DISers. I've been lurking on the boards for a while now gathering all kinds of great info and finally decided to join the fun.

We've done WDW many times over the last 10 years with our DS's (11 and 8) but this will be our first cruise. We are very excited!!:yay:

We too are not planning on doing much in Nassau. Maybe take a quick walk around just to say we did it but want to take advantage of the activities on the boat (sorry, ship) as much as possible. Seems like there's too much to do already.

CC looks absolutely fabulous and can't wait to snorkel and bike ride with the family. My DW is terrified of sharks :scared1:but when she learned that the swim area is protected by nets she agreed to go.

We have a GTY Cat 9 so don't know where we'll be yet but was told they are on deck 1 or 2. Who knows though, maybe we can score one of those cool upgrades if we play our cards right. Have to see on that one.

Looking forward to Pirate Night as well and will definitely dress the part. Can't wait.

Looking forward to seeing you all in 2 months!!
