For those that have cruised before, how *hot* is it going to be? Will there be a breeze on the ship? Or will it be hot...like Texas hot?

I have cruised in June and late July and both times it was hot, but a breeze on the ship. Deck 10 will give you a really nice breeze. I should add that it wasn't too hot..........still very comfortable to sit outside and eat by the pool.

I would agree. The most uncomfortable that I ever feel on the boat is on the day of embarkation, when the ship isn't moving...and we end up with a table outdoors at the buffet. Perhaps it feels hot and sticky because I'm not yet used to the warm climes of FL.

I agree that embarkation is the hottest day. The drill and the sail away party are always so hot!! I always cross my fingers that I get Animators as my station! Then I have AC!! LOL!! I live in Florida and am still not used to the climate!

Its blazing hot and muggy here in the Midwest. I don't mind hot...as long as I am on a loungechair on a deck or in a hammock over the sand and can walk to water after sipping a nice, cold Bahama Mama.

Can I just be another one to say..."WE CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS TRIP"!!!!

I LOVE how the little ship is 'cruising' its way toward the right of my ticker....

We will be celebrating a mini reunion (DS1 just finished his first year away at school) and two graduations-DH just received his second master's (in History) and DS2 just finished high school (which, by the way ended May 14th but senioritis set in around, oh, March). . With the graduation ceremony and party behind us, let the final prep for this trip continue!

I am a school media specialist PreK-12, but for the last two years I've been either the resident house-seller, property-hunter, or college researcher as we are not only becoming "empty-nesters" (sending both off to school) this Fall but DH and I are planning to relocate as well!

The office store got my laminating business yesterday-it was fun to see all of my magnets hot off the press. The only thing I am having trouble with is getting the two older teenaged boys to be as excited as I am about matching t-shirts. (Guess I only have 17 days to convince them... You will all get to see who wins this argument on June 13th....)

I have been checking on the dcl web site to every once in a while to see what staterooms are left. As of now our cruise doesn't show up so I think that means we are sold out?? I told the older DS yesterday and he is soooo excited. Starting Mon the suitcases are coming out!

Meclizine is an anti-nausea, anti-dizzy med. It is prescription but also available over the counter (Bonine or generic). I just bought mine today!!

Our kids are in school until June 7. Our oldest graduates high school June 4th. Everyone is excited and counting down until cruise day!

Happy TWO WEEK MARK, everyone!!!

Matthew has his junior year final exams this week...he'll be out on Friday.

Suitcases are out, packing list is prepared, and everything appears to be organized!!!

Hi everyone! Happy Memorial Day! Yesterday I looked at the thread of the one that left yesterday, May 30th. I looked at the last few pages of the thread and I got so excited just reading what they were saying. You could feel the excitement they were having getting ready to leave for their trip!!! I got the suitcases out of the attic this morning!!!

We're "chomping at the bit" here as well. Suitcases are out, and I've started stacking clothes to wear. The "reminder" list is ready as well. Just a few minor last minute items to get (i.e. batteries for the camera, etc.)...but we're ready to rock!

I used to get my meclyzine as a perscription. Last time I went to get it filled at Target they told me it was now on the $4.00 perscription list and I did not need a perscription from the doctor! Funny part... they are chewable! I found that so weird.

I am so ready for this cruise. It is so hard living in Orlando because we always see the DCL buses driving by! I catch myself waving at the bus and saying "See you soon!!" I hope I can get through these next 2 weeks at work!

On another *important* note. Palo...how does it work as far as the kiddos are concerned? Do they go to the kids club? Does Palo have a *babysitting service* they provide? Do we need to feed them before we head to Palo? Or does Palo have something for the kiddos? We don't have reservations, but we may try to get in a brunch on board. HA!

suitcases are out! I'm trying to decide when I can pack and still have enough clothes to wear!! Maybe Sunday. We are so excited here! We are going camping this weekend so that is a good distraction.

Kids club.

You can either feed them yourself through room service or one of the places on deck 9 or they can eat with the kids club. With the club there are set times for them to eat so it just takes a little more planning to do it that way.

We're leaving for Disney this Sunday. The clothing is all set out in the spare room and we're doing final shopping this week to make sure we have everything we need. Then we have our DD's dance recital all day Saturday, off to bed early, and then we're on the road at 2am Sunday morning.
