June 12, 2015 Disney Dream 3-night

We will be on the 6/12 cruise. Celebrating our 32nd anniversary. Learned about FE after my first cruise in February. Would love to participate.

I have no idea how to form a group, but would enjoy participating in a FE group. Anyone have experience with this from past cruises?

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin. Other information you would like to share such as first names, ages of child participants, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one has posted recently about a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right now in this thread.

There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS. If anyone is interested in doing this, feel free to contact me for some suggestions.

Hello everyone! Since we have a little over 2 months from our fun time with Mickey and the gang I'll try my hand at coordinating our Fish Exchange. Following the guidelines that Disney and Webmaster Doc have sent to us in our Forum, please provide the following information: Disney name, Cabin number, DH, DW, DD(age), DS(age). I'd like to limit our group to 10 cabins. Looking forward to hearing from all of you...
I'll prepare our Master List and here's a start....

Hi all! This will be our family's first ever cruise and we are so excited! I would be interested in a FE - sounds like so much fun!
You will have a wonderful time. Make sure to have your kids try the kids areas. They will love it.

This one makes number 8 for my wife and I. We decided to do 1 night at Baylake Towers, 1 at my home resort Animal Kingdom and 1 night at Beach Club before the cruise.
MY DD is 15
and DS is 11.

Hey all! We are joining everyone for the cruise on June 12th! :beach:

There will be 10 of us, my family of 4, my brother's family of 4 and my parents.

What is everyone doing in Nassau? We are thinking we might just stay on the ship that day to explore and take advantage of the ships activities.

What about Castaway Cay? My kids are older (22 & 17) and I think we might try a snorkeling excursion. We intend to buy snorkeling gear to take with us so we can snorkel from the shore as well.
I would save my money on the snorkeling excursion it isn't worth it. You can rent the gear alot less than buying and carrying it. I think we are going to hit a couple shops and then ride the aqua duck at Nassau

We are going to bring our own gear, because we love to snorkel and rented gear quality is usually sub par. I am just concerned about the number of people trying to snorkel from the beach. Is it crowded? My youngest kiddo is 17, so we cannot stay together and go to the "adult" areas.

I have visions of 100's of little kids stirring up sand and causing a ruckus!

I am not opposed to little kids, I am traveling with 2 of them. I would just like to have the best chance at a good snorkeling experience. My first snorkel trip was amazing. We were in Maui at the Molokini crater and it has all be down hill from there...

I'll be adding my information on Friday when we are officially paid in full :-) can't wa to join in the fun!

The lagoon is a big area near the family beach. You will not have any issues with kids because it is a swim out there.
The adult are doesnt have anywhere to snorkle.
I am a diver and did the snorkling excursion on my first disney cruise and have not done it since. In my opinion I would snorkle on a excursion at nassau. And the disney mask, fins and snorkles are not that bad. I would try them on and make sure you get a mask that you like.

Thanks for the info Matthew517! Would you recommend a 3rd party for snorkeling in Nassau or doing a ship excursion?
