June 10, 2007 Wonder

We started this thread and never realized anyone was posting to it. We are travelling with DS8, DS6, DH6. Soccer mom I see you have the Star Wars icons. My oldest is also into Star Wars. ARe you also stopping at Disney for Star Wars weekend either before or after?

Count us in - me, DW, DS 13, DS 12, and DS 9 - we're actually doing back-to-back - we'll be on the 6/10 and 6/14 Wonder!

djjmitt-we are actually doing a land/sea, so we will be at the parks before we cruise. We went to MGM a couple of years ago during the Star Wars weekends and it was fun. We loved seeing all of the people dressed up-some of them looked A LOT like the real characters. But, it was really crowded! I am not sure if we are going to go this time. We only have 3 days, and we have never been to EPCOT or AK. I also want to go to MK, just because I have memories there from when I was a kid. So, MGM might get left out this time. Are you going?

4407mark-We are from St. Louis, too. Well, St. Charles Co./Weldon Spring area, actually. What about you? Back to back cruises-how exciting!

rjmkhall-I bet we might notice you all with the 14 matching shirts. Sounds fun! I have been collecting things here and there, but I need to get going or I am going to be in a rush at the end. I hate to pack at the last minute because then I always feel like I am forgetting something. . .

We should be fairly easy to spot with Carolina Blue shirts on. Not that any of us are Carolina fans, but dad wanted that color and he is footing the bill this time. We are heading to MK and Epcot after the trip too. Did anyone get lucky enough to book the dolphin excursion. We tried the day we paid in full and it was already full. Maybe next time. We opted for the harbor cruise in Nassau.

We are doing the Dolphin Encounter. We booked it as soon as we could, at 90 days before the cruise or something like that. Did you try to book it on the Disney site or by phone? If you did it on the site, do you remember if they had two dolphin excursions, one at 9:00 and one later, like at 1:00? When I booked there was only the early one, but I noticed in an old Navigator that they also had the later one. Since so many people are first-time cruisers and don't know they have to book so early, I think they may open up more excursions, tables at Palo, etc. on the ship if there is a demand for it. I booked Palo a few weeks ago and there was hardly anything left, but yet they say you can go somewhere when you board to make Palo reservations. I don't know if this is true, just my hunch.

We actually stayed on the ship last year in Nassau. We had a great time. We decided to do an excursion this time, though, since we have the whole day at sea. Last year we were only on a 3-day. I would also like to check out the Pirate museum in Nassau if we have time-it looks interesting. I'm sure the harbor tour will be great.

Wow, not many messages on this thread. I guess we don't have many DIS posters on our cruise. My DFi and I are sooo excited! We just picked up our ticket booklet from our travel agent. The more and more we talk to people who have been on the Wonder the more and more positive feedback we get. I'm so glad it looks like we made an excellent choice for our honeymoon!

I have to admit. Over the last 3 months I have been thinking past our wedding and to the honeymoon. But now with less then a week to go to the big day, the jitters of the biggest day of my life is certainly first and foremost on my mind. But it's still so exciting to think that this time next week we'll be watching the Wishes fireworks and in 2 weeks we'll be sailing onto the beautiful blue ocean!

I'll be busy this week trying to get all the last minute details together so I'm posting out here early. but I look forward to meeting you all on the cruise. Don't be affraid to come and say hi if you see me. I'll be the big tall guy, with the leaping tiger on my shirt and a big smile on my face!
Safe journey everyone!

Congrats on your wedding and honeymoon, Devourer. We also honeymooned at WDW (no DCL back then), and it was magical. Hope you have a great time, and hope it's the beginning of a long and happy future together.

Well, the day is fast approaching and we are all very excited. I just got off of the phone with Disney and guess what, they are playing Pirates - At Worlds End. Yippee!!!! See you on Sunday!
