June 1, 2012 - 5 night Bahama Dream Cruise

:yay::yay::yay:yes I plan on having disney call. gonna have them on speaker phone. Had them call before but not as a surprise. Thanks a lot.

I'm joining in! Just paid in full and starting to book things online:cool1: As you can see below we are a family of 5. Tired so will have to catch up on this thread later.

All set! Checked in last night. Kind of wanted Palo brunch but pretty sure there wasn't any chance to get it and I didn't - might check on the ship... maybe not. Booked Palo for last night and floats and bikes for CC. I think that is all we are doing for excursions. :) Got 11am arrival time which was the main thing I wanted since we will be at my mom's - she lives about 30 min. from the port.

Yeah - so excited!!!!! I can;t believe it;s finally almost here!

Kim :)

We are all checked in too. Eating at Remy on the last night. The only thing I would have liked but couldn't reserve was Tea at Palo. We have high Tea everywhere we go on Vacation and would have liked to continue on the Dream. In fact I just got through with our daily tea party with Micky, Minnie and Dumbo. I'm sure we will make do on our own.

Has anyone thought about an actual on board meet yet?

You still may be able to get Tea at Palo. My experience sailing with DCL is that reservations are avaliable when you board the ship. According to a recent Dream Navigator - Palo's opens at 1pm on day of boarding for bookings.

Regarding an on board meet. My I recommend meeting on Deck 12 midship starboard underneath the aquaduck between 5:00 - 5:15 pm. This would be after the sail away party and allow us an opportunity to get ourselves on camera as we sail pass the Fishlips Waterfront Bar & Grill. See photo below for recent picture from March sailing.

The pictures are captured by a HD camera located at Fishlips Waterfront Bar and Grill as the ships pass (The HD website is http://portcanaveralwebcam.com/). Archives of still images from these sail bys are posted to http://portfever.com/#top where you select the following items from the top menu:

MenuSelection.gif

From there you select the date and time for review. To save these pictures to your computer, click your right mouse button over the picture and select Save Picture As.

We will be bringing a banner to wave as we pass by. My plan is to record the HD feed onto my tablet as we leave port to have video copy of our departure. I'll be glad to share it with you after the cruise.

OK DOUBLE COOL:cool1:

CUTE!! Love it! :) That seems to be a pretty easy time to meet. We will just hustle it to dinner!

We will have to hustle too. But I have read that being 5 min late is better than early since you miss the lines and you have a reserved table anyway. Will have to be dressed dedcent enough for dinner just before Drill. We have 11:30 boarding so we should have our fill of the Aquaduck in pleanty of time to change.:thumbsup2

Forgot to ask is that a good spot to watch the sailway party. I assume by the photo it is.

Yep, that is our plan as well - we have 11-11:30 boarding. Maybe we will change before the sail away... we aren't too dressy so no big deal here! :)

According to recent Navigators - 1st dinner seating is 5:45 pm. The ship has consistently sailed past the camera location between 5:05 and 5:15 pm.

Sail Away party starts at 4:45 pm and ends approximately 5:00 pm when the Mickey Horn is sounded.

Yes, this spot should be a great place. Midship between the funnels on deck 12 starboard should be a perfect spot to watch the sailaway party from (good view of pool stage and funnel vision). After the sailaway we would move from the inside rail overlooking the pool stage to the outside rail where we could all wave goodbye to the landlubbers. :wave2::wave2::wave2:

As long as your not dining at PALO or REMY, the meals are "Cruise Casual"—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops. :clown:

Thanks for putting together the FE! You have done a fabulous job! We are so excited and can't wait. I do have one silly question about the onboard meet...How will we know which group is ours? :-)

I was actually wondering the same thing. Should we wear lime green ribbons or something?
