June 1, 2012 - 5 night Bahama Dream Cruise

Anyone up for playing the FE game?:cool1:

I'll play!

I'm very excited about this cruise! I am going to try some new things this year - spa, adult areas, maybe a class or two. Now that I am more comfortable with my kids and their age appropriate clubs, I can relax a little! :cool1:

We're on this one as well! Getting ready to pay it off, so now it seems more real to me! My boys are 9 and 7 (signature is old!). Starting to do my research... I'm a WDW pro but complete DCL newbie! We went on a Carnival cruise with DH;s family a few years ago - wasn't a fan - but kids still liked it ok. I am super psyched about DCL - been on many other lines but this will be my first with DCL! :)

This will be my fourth cruise with DCL (2 on Wonder, 1 on Magic) and first time on the Dream. I've always participated in the FE program but never coordinated one. I'll be glad to take the lead but need some directions. Should I setup a new thread?:surfweb:

If you are willing to lead the fish extender, then I say go for it!

And if a new thread is easier, do that. Do what you want! You are in charge! :worship:

Our family would love to participate in the fish extender as well! We have finally hit the 100 day mark! (since we leave the day before the cruise departs)

Happy Mardi Gras!

Fellow DREAMers:

I have added a new thread where we can identify those cruisers interested in participating in the Fish Extender game. The link is:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2881518

Instructions and Rules have been posted in the thread. I've added disneymeister and Spiffie but need more information (ie. Cabin #).

Let's all participate!:cool1:

Our family will be on the June 1st Dream celebrating my 50th birthday. As I was looking at the information thinking about doing the fish extender I saw that we will be right across the hall from Spiffie. We're in 6674 and 6676. So maybe we'll run into each other.

Also we're from New Orleans, so happy belated Mardi Gras Disneymeister!

Do you want me to add you to the Fish Extender list?:rolleyes1

Thank you, but not yet. I'm not very crafty and it seems like a lot of work goes into the gifts people make. I'll wait and see how many are in the group and decide if I'm up to the challenge. I see the deadline is in April, but is there a cap on the number of people included? If it reaches say 75 for 5 days, that might be more than I could handle. Some people's gifts are pretty elaborate and some say they have been making things for as long as a year. :)

This is our first DCL and our first cruise as a family.
I'm DH Kell, married to wonderful DW Kim along with our fantastic 3 YO DD Savannah. We just booked the cruise and I do not believe we have ever been this excited about a trip before. We are tying the cruise in with a reunion in Boston so unfortunately we don't have any extra days in FL. StarWars weekend??? We didn't know about that or we would have planned differently, we can get a little geeky about star wars.
We will sign up for the FE on the other thread. We don't know our cabin number yet, when can we expect to find out?
We are AP holders at DL here in Cali. so we are really into Disney and will want to participate in everything that makes Disney so special.

Just made my final payment! :dancer:

This past Sunday we watched the Dream leave Port Canaveral live on HD Webcam. http://portcanaveralwebcam.com/

It really got my grandkids excited. The camera zooms in on the Dream as it leaves Port Canaveral. You see people waving ondeck and from their verandahs. Also, we saw people using the aquaduck.

You can watch the Dream leave port this coming Sunday (March 4). The ship is scheduled to leave port at 3:45 pm EST (it was right at 4 pm EST when the ship passed the camera).

Also, I noted they archive past departures. This should make a great addition to my video diary of our June cruise.

After reading more about the FE exchange, I see it's not as complicated as I was imagining, and my girls definitely want to participate. They have given me some good gift ideas. So I'll put our information on the FE thread.

I talked to DCL Reservations (800.951.1352) this morning and they informed me that the Pirate Deck Party is scheduled for Day 3 (Nassau). This conflicts with the Cruise Activity Calendar which shows the Pirate Deck Party for Day 4 (At Sea). :confused3

Can someone on our cruise contact Disney and confirm Day 3 (Nassau) is the actual night for Pirate Deck Party? I'm trying to make a reservation at Palo's for my daughters that night.

Thanks.

Booked this cruise many months ago. We are keeping it as a surprise for my 3 grandkids. This will be our 4th Disney cruise. I can hardly wait. It has been so hard keeping this secret but I can;t wait to see their reaction when we tell them the morning we leave. Already packing things away secretly. It will be a miracle if I don't slip up and say something. Keeping my fingers crossed.:woohoo::woohoo:

I am also sailing with my grandkids - 2 lovely granddaughters age 5 and 10. :)

When it comes time to annouce to them - you may want to have Mickey, Goofy or Princess Ariel call them. This is a service Disney offers and can be found on the My Reservations tab.
