June 1, 2008-Wonder Double-Dip

Good morning everyone! We have started to pack... my girls clothes are in the suitcase(so they can't wear them before we leave!) I am torn on what to pack for myself..I have read it is easy to overpack..

Another question.... we are staying overnight on Sat so what time should we plan to get to the port? I have also read that they hand out boarding passes based on how you check in(unless you are cat 1-3) I was thinking 10:45am does that sound too early or too late?

Have a good day everyone....10 days to go
Melissa

We are staying near the airport Saturday night and intend to get to the port by 10am Sunday. In part because I don't want to risk delays with the drive...this way if we do encounter something we have more leeway. And another part is that I just want the vacation to start as early as possible. :)

The port itself will open at or around 10:30 and they will begin handing out boarding group numbers.

Hi Everyone! I can't believe that we are leaving on SATURDAY!!! :woohoo:

Of course, being the procrastinator I am, I haven't started packing yet or gotten my FE gifts! :scared1:

So I'll have to hit the market tomorrow to search for something cool, and I wanted to make sure that I had the correct list. This is the latest one I found on the thread and wanted to make sure there weren't any additions:
Here's the current Fish Extender list as well:

owensamo & owensjro (Amanda and Jim, DD6) - Deck 6
Michellepooh (Michelle, DH, DS3) - Deck 6
Ottes4 (Melissa, DH Gene, DD5, DD1) - Deck 6
3princessMommy (Joann, DH, DD6, DD4, DD16mo) - Deck 6
3PrincessMommy Friends (2ad, 3yo) - Deck 5
TinkRN (Tricia, DD9, DS7) - Deck 7
stlkeeler (Linda, Beth, Kayla 6) - Deck 2

We actually got our docs a couple days ago, so that's great! Now, to figure out how to pack for this 6 week long trip with three kids under 6! :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 I am not looking forward to this 24 hour trip!!!!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Pixie dust anyone???pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Looks like the same FE list that I was going off of, and meet time is 3:15pm at the deck 7 hidden veranda?!

Hope you get all packed soon, and have safe travels!!

Have a safe journey, 3princessMommy! I don't envy your flight time! I have a hard enough time keeping my 3 year old entertained on our 3 hour flight!

Packing is about half done. I know this next week is going to fly by so I want to try to get more done tonight!

I'm too excited to sleep!!!

[QUOTE=3princessMommy; I am not looking forward to this 24 hour trip!!!!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

The trip is going to stink, but the reward will be great!:cool1:  :yay:

I was stationed in Guam. From Jacksonville, FL to Guam was one of those
24+ hours trip!

:yay: However I didn't have kids at the time! :goodvibes

We leave for FL in one week!! Yeah!

I set out some clothes. Now I just need to get them in the suitcase.
I have one casual outfit, one bathing suit, and a dinner outfit for each day. Hopefully it will be enough. If not, guess I could go shopping:goodvibes

Hmmm. Well, our new washer and dryer were not delivered yesterday like Sears said they would. Now they have pushed us out to next Thursday. So, do I hook the old ones back up and do laundry so we can pack this weekend or do wait until next Thursday, hope Sears delivers (yeah right) and then do laundry and pack.

Ah decisions decisions.

Hannah has been home from school all week due to being sick. We're still not sure what she has but it is almost gone. We thought at first it was chicken pox (we figure she got it from the DISboards when we read 3PrincessMommy's post about being exposed ;) but she was vaccinated (no booster though). Doctor thinks it could have been chicken pox, strepp, fifth's, a combination of them, or something else. :) Unfortunately for me Hannah has been fine except for itchy spots so she is going stir crazy in the house. I can't just plop her in front of a tv like I usually can if she isn't feeling well. :) It's making getting work done (I work from home) rather difficult.

Hopefully we'll all be healthy and not cancelling our cruise at the last minute!!

I'd just be happy to have clean clothes that aren't already packed for the cruise! At least I only have a 4 day work week - and a rather lax dress code! :rotfl:

I am about 85% packed. All of our clothes are ironed and in Ziploc bags (I'm one of those crazy neurotic packing people!). Just need to organize the rest of the stuff.

One week from today we leave!!!

Looking forward to meeting all of you!

You'll be happy to know that little Gracie was not exposed to Chicken Pox. It appears that her friend just had some bad mosquito bites after traveling outside Ouaga and sleeping without a mosquito net. Now, one might ask why his guardians didn't think of that possibility first before sending me off the deep end, but we won't go there.

Okay - FE's are set. Welcome to a taste of West Africa...

Now, just to get the suitcases packed, decorate for and attend a baby shower (oh, that reminds me I need to wrap those presents), finish up some last minute issues at work, and try to convince Air France that the baby actually should travel in a car seat vs. a regular airplane seat. Keep thinking pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Is everyone else as stressed out as I am????????????????????? :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Stressed, not really. Short, ya! LOL I'm just wondering what im packing in becuase all of my luggage is really old and not so nice or broken.

Hi everybody,,, Amanda, thanks for the list and the reminder. WE ARE GOING TO GET MAMMAW TODAY!!!!!!!! I am a little nervous. I haven't talked with DCL yet to decide on the actual day of celebration of her birthday. We haven't really had a celebration yet. They haven't started packing her up at the nursing home yet. I don't think she actually knows that we are getting her. Cross your fingers!!! You will be able to recognize her by the wheel chair. Please, say hello and introduce yourself to her and me. I am Bill. We have a room 7131 for her which is right at the entrance to the deck seven secret balcony.
More to follow.
Bill,,,,,PS,,, It is Indy 500 day and I am about 5-10 miles from the track. We will need to go to Costco this am and the traffic is likely to be awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance3: :dance3:

Im finally packed! :cool1: and I packed too much most likely but what ever. LOL Im so excited! Only five days to go! :scared1: Im looking forward to meeting you all! :yay:

I was wondering if it might be possible to get stateroom numbers of the people who are doing the fish extenders. I want to make sure that I deliver my stuff to the right rooms, and not just some random person who might have stuck a bag to their door! :rotfl2: Obviously it's OK to PM that information if you don't want it posted, or we can maybe just have a list at our meet.

Anyway, packing is done and I'm just waiting for Friday to get here!!! :yay: :dance3:

Michelle, we are in room 2068. I believe it's port side, pretty close to the central elevators.

I haven't even started packing yet. But the suitcase is in the living room. I have to work all week and Friday I will need to do laundry, pack, get a haircut, pack some more... When my daughter was young and was going on a trip, she would always come to me and say, "Ask me." That was my cue to ask her all the stuff I could remember she needed. So, I'm saying to you guys, "Tell me." All the stuff you might not think to remember to pack. Everyone will remember the usual stuff like clothes, shoes, toothbrush, meds, etc but what about the unusual stuff?

:yay: We had a message on our answer machine today stating that we have been upgraded from a cat. 9 to a cat. 7. We will now be staying on Deck 5 aft instead of deck 2 midship. What a great way start to our 15th anniversary cruise! I'm really getting excited now. :cloud9: I didn't think we would be upgraded 5 days before sailing!!!

I'll add the numbers to my list as I see them go by, and print out a copy at the meet. We're in 6637.

I'll admit, though - I did pack a few extra random things to tuck into FEs that may not be on the list! :)

Hi All - I just booked 6/1 cruise this week and found this thread today. At the moment, I have only read the first and last page of the thread. On the first page was a hope for a partially full ship - very likely as there was still availability today when I checked again. I have cruised many times on many lines, but never on Disney before. It will be myself and my 3 yo DD. I would love to meet up with you folks. I am so excited that I am fully packed already and I haven't even received my paperwork yet.

PS What is a "fish extender"?
