I always found it interesting to see how many times one has posted on a particular thread...............I usually am the most chatty, and i guess i have not done to bad, since i have only been on for about 3 weeks i am in 4th place!!!!!!

ANYONE DO ANY PACKING THIS WEEKEND??????

I got out some cruise items i had packed away last year, we have matching outfits i guess we will wear on the first night to Dinner again.

We did this last year but DD and i were too sick to do much of dinner e lasted about all of 7-10 minutes of dinner and we went back to our cabin.

so we did not get much use out of them.

AND HERS STILL FITS!!!!!!!!!!!! theonly one i was worried about, it is a bit short..............but that is okay!

No packing yet, but I did start collecting things for my cabin door I noticed that they have a tea for kids with Alice and the madd hatter, has anyone seen anything about it? I saw it on the thread for the June 15th cruise....

we went shopping this weekend. got the kids stuff. my excercising & eating plan has been paying off. in 6 weeks i lost 5 lbs and built muscle. i am so excited!!!
the kids are pretty much set, we still need water shoes, and another swimsuit for the girls.
i am starting to freak out now!!! i haven't started to pack, but i am going to print the packing list, and make notes. i have to sit through 2 meetings a day, so i'l be planning during those.

i don't have our fish extender yet, i think i am going to do a one pocket thing, i'll keep looking, but that is what i think i am going to do.
for fish extenders, have you all bought only disney stuff for gifts, or any trinkets will do?
are we gifting only the kids, or adults as well? i know all of us adults like gifts too. but for me it's always for the kids.

i am way too excited, it's so close now!!!!!!! has anyone received their packet?

New to cruising? I'll give you my 2 cents worth of advice...
these things are must haves when on the cruise.


Be sure to bring:
an over the door shoe holder ... clear pockets work best.
It helps keep clutter off the limited counter space and makes things easy to find since you can see everything. You hang it over the bathroom door and keep your cosmetics, sunscreen, medical supplies, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. We hung ours on the outside of the door, that way if someone is IN the bathroom, we still had access to the stuff. We also kept our room keys there just so we would KNOW where they were.

An extension cord AND a power strip for extra plug in ability as there are very few plugs in the rooms...
we plugged our computer and our chargers for the phones and the cameras and our clock and our fan... we could have used more plugs, but took turns charging things so it worked out.

One dollar bills for tipping the Room Service people.

If I think of more, I'll post for you.
So glad you will be joining us. How many in your group? Any small children? If you look on the first post you will see what we have planned.

OH... be sure to get a "fish extender" It is a hanging pocket organizer... sort of like for mail but made of fabric.. it hangs from the fish that is located outside of your stateroom door that is used by Disney to leave you notes and invitations throughout the cruise. DIS'rs leave you little gifts in the extender.... it is called that because the pocket organizer tends to "extend" the holding ability of the fish. This is a lot of fun as it is always fun to come back to your room and find little gifts in the extenders. And you can gift anything that you like... some people make things like CD's of music or Disney video's ... some just leave toys or stickers or special things that pertain to the cruise. Your choice... gifting is optional, but lots of fun.

OH... and people decorate their doors too... it helps make it easier to recognize your room from all the others.... especially for your kids... or even for yourself after a few "drinks of the day" ...

welcome, this is our first crusie too. i look at the main thread page almost everyday, and pick the threads that i am interested in and i think would be helpful to me. then i subscribe to them, and i need to start looking through them to take notes on all the tips.

there is a lot of information here, so much that it is overwhelming. there is a crusie packing list, so check that out as a basic guide, also the over the door shoe holder is a must from what a lot of people say. also the extension cord and nightlight for the bathroom.

I also went shopping, picked up a few new outfits and sandals. I planned on starting the packing, but went to Disneyland instead!...
I did more shopping while I was there, so my day was not a total waste!..
I haven't received any packets yet... but I'm stalking my mail box... it should be soon.

As far as fish extender gifts go... I get some for the adults and some for the kids... I try to not forget the adults because I know that I also like to get presents. And I have gotten Disney things and some cruise related things and some Mexican related things.. and of course, some pirate things... we can't forget those.

OH.. this is for ADCOHA...
There is a pirate night... where everyone, well, not EVERYone, but alot of people dress up as pirates. This is WAY fun and not just for the kids, but for the adults too. So get your pirate attire together. AND between the dinner times, like at 7:30 we will all gather together in the main atrium to take a pirate picture. We get the Disney ship photographer to take the picture so that way everyone can get a copy.

This is my Son-in-law, Son, Nephew, and my husband during our first cruise. Like I said, the adults have a lot of fun dressing up.

I am going to Disneyland again on the 14th if anyone has any requests. Sandy called and said she found some great sparkly tops so I need to get on it! I usually wait till the last minute, but somehow manage to pull it all together

I think that I might need a pirate shirt Huerita. I bought all the kids costumes the day after halloween when they were 1/2 off. i didn't get one for me beucase I didn't see one i liked. I am going to go to the party store to see what they have. do you think you could take a picture of what is there at disneyland? will you or sandy be going again after the 14th? sparkly sounds cute. i probably will just get something at the disney store up here or somewhere. i want a costume, but then i have to buy boots too. i have a vision thanks for offering for requests.

you gals are lucky! we love disneyland. we prayed in september before the jedi academy show started that our sone would get picked, and he did the first time out! he loved it. it was cute.

I have packed for the first 2 days of our pre cruise..........

Now i am packign to day for our 1st day on board........
AS we will be wearing our DIS shirts i made on to the ship i guess all i really need to pack is dinner stuff and pjs.

so to days will be easy!

We will have on white shirts with LIME GREEN MICKEY HEADS.....

Love this idea of the fish extender! I think the kids will LOVE to run around to put stuff in. We booked online so I feel like we are flying by the seat of our pants. Thanks for all the information.

Does the fish extender need to have any holes/grommits? One in the middle or at the corners? This is such a neat idea. Very excited but not that crafty. Thanks for all the information.
