Does the fish extender need to have any holes/grommits? One in the middle or at the corners? This is such a neat idea. Very excited but not that crafty. Thanks for all the information.

I've never heard of it, but there are lot of things I've never heard of...

OK Lynn,
I called Disney Dining and got some info for you...
IF you got a "package" reservation then you might be able to get a dining plan... it was a little over my head but I believe it depends on where you are staying and who you booked with and how many days you are staying, anyway, here is the phone number, she said you will need your reservation number and they would be able to tell you if you can get a dining plan or not...

I have packed for the first 2 days of our pre cruise..........
Now i am packign to day for our 1st day on board........
AS we will be wearing our DIS shirts i made on to the ship i guess all i really need to pack is dinner stuff and pjs. so to days will be easy!

We will have on white shirts with LIME GREEN MICKEY HEADS.....

MENDOZA and ADCOHA...
I don't know if you are aware, but the official "color" of the DISboarders is Lime Green... this is a color that we all try to wear on boarding day so it is easier to recognize each other.

AND if you go to Home Depot, in their paint depart
they have Mickey Mouse Head shaped paint chip samples... among them is Alien Green which is the DISboard green color that we wear... ALSO, these Mickey Mouse Head Shapes are GREAT for making Door Magnets and Name tags for yourselves. Home Depot does not seem to mind us taking them as I have even tried paying for them and they do not accept payment for them, so they let you take as many as you need and they are FREE!
A quick note on the Mickey head shapes, you can not peel them off the little square that they are on... you have to cut them out... I ruined many a head by trying to peel it off.

Love this idea of the fish extender! I think the kids will LOVE to run around to put stuff in. We booked online so I feel like we are flying by the seat of our pants. Thanks for all the information.

But that is okay i did make all our dining reservations, Before the cruise on Saturday we willbe eating at PCH Grill

then After the cruise we are doing
Story Tellers Cafe for Dinner (SUNDAY)
Blue Bayou for Dinner (MONDAY)
Hooks Pointe for Dinner (TUESDAY)

Dont know yet for Tuesday what we will do before flying home....

DO you think i should make lunch or breakfast reservations?
i think we would do fine for Breakfast, i dont think we will do any character meals, and we will be in the GRand californian so i assumethey have soemthing there we can just slip into for breakfast.

I guess if we want lunch we can just grab something quick, although imight make 2 reservations for BLUE BAYOU one for lunch.I have heard great things about it.

Lynn, you are staying at the Grand... you are about 30 feet from the Rain Forest Cafe and about 100 feet from Goofy's Kitchen in the Disneyland Hotel which has a GREAT breakfast. (my perception of length may be off, but not that much) You are in the MIDDLE of EVERYthing. You are fine without reservations for all your meals. You might want to play it by ear on a few days as I'm sure you will see something or someplace that you will want to try.
My daughter Brandy and I think that Hooks Pointe is a sandwich place... but we will check. In fact, if you want, I'll take pictures of these places for you and post just so you can see if you really want to eat there. Either way, you will LOVE the GRAND... we held Brandy's wedding reception there... very nice. We had lunch at Story Tellers Cafe and were not impressed. It was pretty inside, just the food was nothing to write home about, if you know what I mean. But then again, everyone has different taste. WE tend to lean more toward meat and potatos, not sauces and things like that. You will easily be able to walk to all 3 hotels and all the restaurants.

We got a 4 days pass.

We plan on doing 2 full days only the parks and then 2, 1/2 days.

i already have the first 1/2 days planned out.

We are doing DCA the first day we arrive(land)
e hope to be int he park byt 3-4 and stay until close.

I thought about going on over to Dl and watching soem fireworls too, but we have to be up early the next morning for a HOLLYWOOD TOUR!

it is bus tour and it is 5.5 hours long.

Show us all the major sites!

Yes... at least in 2005 we did. I don't believe anything has changed.
