June 1, 2008 7-Night Mexican Riviera Cruise All Aboard is now back on Land

Happy Sunday everyone!
Flo, your kitchen appliances look fantastic!:thumbsup2
I'll bet you're happy:banana:
I've been buried with work, which will make the cruise that much more enjoyable:beach: :mickeyjum

Thanks CIndy!

Yes, I am happy. I just have to get used to them. My appliances were old so everything is different on them.
I can understand that! You will need the rest.:beach: Glad you stoped in.

Flo...
Your appliances are beautiful!
Do I see a marble back splash on the wall?
That looks beautiful... is that the new wall or the old?
AND does the oven have 3 racks? WOW if it does. :woohoo:
and again, I LOVE the Mickey drawer pulls.

Has your weather improved?

Has your weather improved?

Yes, that is marble back splash on the wall and it is new. It being out the counter top. The oven only has 2 racks because of the broiler. Now I just have to find a broiler pan.

Has the weath inproved, not much. It is not raining as hord but still raining. They say we will have rain through Wednesday. We got 3 to 4 inches of rain in a couple of hours. The streets are ok now but the creeks are over flowing.

I agree with you I think I love the handles the most

How are you feeling? Did you get an apointment at the other doctor yet?

Take Care

My appointment is not until next week on Wednesday afternoon.
I'll post as soon as I get some kind of news regarding my knee. :coffee:

Sending you some pixiedust: Pixie Dust for better weather...
At least you aren't in Cancun! :sad2: Those people are in for a good storm! At least it is down to a Catagory 3 now.

Sandy,
I agree! The weather I am having is nothing to what is going on in Cancoun!:wizard: THis is good that it was down graded to a Cat 3. Hope it does not do to much damage. They are still not up to par from the last one.

Hello all,

It's almost 3:00 am and I am at work. Im watching "Kitchen Nightmares" which is a very bad show. If you like people yelling, cursing, and demeaning other than this is the show for you.

I love the new kitchen appliances. It's always nice to cook on a new stove. What's the deal with the no broiler pan? Maybe you can find one on EBAY.

We're on an improvement kick ourselves. We've been having a great time clearing out stuff that we don't really need. Finding treasures to sell on EBAY as well as donating stuff to the local thrift stores. It's a great feeling to let go of items that you don't really need and you're surprized that you have kept for so long. We're waiting for someone to pick up a car that's been sitting around for over a year. Ah, more space.

Speaking of the weather, our's has been nice and calm. Not too hot and nice and cool come evening time. Sometimes a bit chilly over night.

This year sems to be flying by. We're already talking about plans for Thanksgiving. We'll be headed off to Laughlin, NV for the week before Thanksgiving. (Looking forward to a great game of BINGO. Maybe I'll hit it big and pay off the cruise and have some left over for the re-book.) We'll arrive home and then off to Arizona for the official Turkey day. UUUMMMMM, Pumpkin Pie!!! I know it's months away but I can almost taste the mashed potatos.

Have a great rest of the week. I gotta get back to my program. I think chef Ramsey is going to yell at someone else.

As far as the broiler. We are being told that unless you buy a stove that is expensive (100.00 pluse) you have to buy your own. I neve thought of e bay I will cheack. I am also going to try the manfacture.

have a good day.

Hello Everyone!
Hope all is well. I have not been on a computer since Thrusday! I am sitting at a wi fi cafe with my DS right now. i am going nuts without one. We had horribel weather here on Thrusday and lost are connection! Don't know when we are getting it back. IT was so bad that they were putting people in the middle of building and shelters because of the wind, rain and tornados. It was real scary. They let us go a half hour early and it took me an hour and a halt to get home!. It should only take me 20 minutes. We had no light and flooding on the streets!
Take care
Flo

Flo, I knew you were having bad weather, I'm glad you made it thru with only some power outages & flooding and nothing else. Don't let that kitchen get ruined before it is installed! That would be a shame.

First day of school out here and the kids are out in full force along with their speeding mothers. They FLY down out street at speeds that are rediculiously fast even when school in not in session. They are rushing to the school which is the next block over and they aren't considering the kids in the street! I know that one day someone is going to hit a child and it makes me sick to think about it. We always walk our kids all the way to and from school and there have been many close calls where parents just aren't paying attention to the kids on the street... they are too busy talking to or yelling at the ones in the car... my DH has had to actually pull kids out of the way of some driver making a U turn all across the sidewalk! :sad2: And they never even stop to see if everyone is ok or anything, they just keep going on their way as if the kids just need to LOOK OUT cause they are gonna drive on the sidewalk! Ssssssheez... :sad2:
Ok... I've vented enough...

I'm glad you are ok.

Sandy,
It is finally starting to dry off here! The creeks and Rivers are still hi! That is going to take a while. Are internet came up for a little while so I am trying to go through everything.
That is terrible about the drivers on your street with school! I hop the kids stay safe.
The princess look so cute in her picture.
Take care and have a good day.

P.S. How is the leg?

[FONT=Courier New,Courier, mono] I finally went to the Orthopedest today...

He has put me in a brace... but not just any brace, it goes from my upper thigh all the way down to just above my ankle! It is to remain locked straight although I can unlock it when I sit down to allow my leg to bend... but otherwise it is to remain locked straight.
I have to wear it 24/7 except for showers of course, otherwise it is to be ON my leg.
He wants me to start putting weight on my knee while walking... to act as if the brace is a cast... and just start walking with it... OK... sure, I'll do that RIGHT AWAY. Hahaha... I tried it and it is REAL scarey, but not too bad... I don't put all my weight on it, and I'm still using the crutches for support so I have that to lean on if knee hurts or I feel like it will buckle... but so far so good. It is fun ALMOST walking again, but it is VERY exhausting... but if I can start walking without the crutches, I'm willing to give it a go. Anyway, I go back to him in 4 weeks. In the meantime, he is sending me to therapy. At my next appointment he will check my range of motion and decide when he will do an orthoscopy to remove the torn miniscus. He said he would not need to repair the ACL as I am not into sports like soccer or jogging... he feels that I will be able to walk well without it being fixed... but IF I have problems walking, he reserves the right to go in to fix it. So... Good news Bad news... I think its all good.

Sandy,
That brace has to be a little unconfortable? But I am sure it will do it's job. Like you said it has to be scarey to setp on it again. Glad you are keeping your chin up. Good Luck!

Sounds like good news to me. The leg will heal with the therapy and time. The brace does sound a little uncomfortable. I still think the bionic leg would be cool.

It's Friday morning and I'll be off of work soon to start the 3 day holiday weekend. I actually get 4 days since I'm starting it on Friday morning. Woohoo!

Have a great holiday weekend everyone. Rest, relax, and have a good time.

HI everyone!
I am sitting in are room in Milwaukee, WI as I send this. We took my DS back to school for the last time. He graduates college this may (God Willing). I do nit know were the time has gone. It seams like only yesterday he was in dippers! We as spending a few days here. I have not seen much of him but that is fine. I love are hotel. We got a surprise when we checked in. We were supposed to have a room with a King bed, sofa sleeper and a kitchenette! TO are surprise when we opened the door we got a one bedroom sweat (will post pics when we get back). We could have a party in the room.
Not doing much just relaxing.

What are everyone’s plans for the Holiday Weekend? Have fun and stay safe.

Just want to wish everyone a Happy and Safe holiday weekend!

We are not planning much since I'm still a gimp... and the weather is way too hot to go anywhere, so we will just be sitting around the house, maybe catch up on my scrapbooking and squishing up Lily.
:cool1:

Hi there everyone! Got some time to catch up on all your posts.....I hadn't been getting my instant email notifications, so I kind of lost track....But, glad to hear everyone is safe and sound and going to enjoy the holiday weekend. The photo of Lily Belle is precious!!!!

OK... WHO turned the world around and made it HOT in California???
Our expected high today is 101*... that is REDICULIOUS...
I live 4miles from the beach an it should NEVER get that hot here...
WHAT is up with that?! :sad2:
And to make matters worse, my air-conditioner died on Tuesday :scared1:
and the repair guys won't be out until Thursday this week...
I thought that was a long time to wait for repair, until I talked to my neighbor
and she is waiting 2 weeks... she called the same repair people (Sears) the day after I did!

I hope everyone is staying cool today. Luckily, my DD lives across the street and her air works, so that's where I'm staying. The temp is supposed to drop tomorrow to a cool 85* :headache:

Sandy,
Sounds like you are getting what we had a couple of weeks ago!:) My heart goes out to you. It is no fun and with the brace on your leg that is even worse. Also, to be without air, oh MY;) That is a good thing that your daughter is across the street. I feel sorry for your neighbor 2 weeks.:upsidedow It is only in the high 70's as I write this.
Hope it cools down for you guys.
