JUN 06 2007 Magic - 10 day Mediterranean ( READ INFO POST # 1 )

88 more hours, 32 more sleeping hours, 6 more hours in the gym, and 11.5 more miles to run until we leave on June 2nd!!!!!!

I finished laying out our two days in Rome and one day in Barcelona prior to the cruise. We started preliminary packing yesterday, making lists, putting out the clothes we WANT to bring. I had to point out to my wife that bringing 12 shoes on a 14-day trip was unacceptable.

Tonight we are doing a "dress rehersal" (my idea, I'm an engineer). We are going to go day by day from LA and back and put on the clothes we are planning to wear. Then we'll lay them aside, see what clothes we can combine to wear multiple times, and eliminate the unncessary...

Then... tomorrow night we start packing!!!!! Hope everything fits. Share suitcases in case one is lost. By anything else we absolutely need (yes dear that is need, not want. Wrong four letter word).

Finish up packing on Thursday.

Stay up late on Friday ~ 1am and then we wake at 4 am on Sat for our 7am flight to Rome!!!!!!

OK, so I am officially sighing a HUGE sigh of relief, i got the days off to do the trip!!! Relief.......to say the least!!!

Now the test on friday, ugh...studying still for that while mr. joe is doing his workouts....i do not have enough time to figure out how many more hours of studying i have, and honestly, do not want to know, that would stress me out more!!!! i do not feel like i have enough...

ahhhh, that is where i am at right now. have to fly all weekend, do not get home from my trip until 8pm on sunday, we leave on monday. ummmm, how many want to bet that the packing list that i have now given to each of my children (including spouse) will not be even looked at until I get home!!! UGH.....we shall see. Maybe i will be surprised and everything will be done for me. OK, there is some reality in this disney mess!!! I need to pack and i need to study, and suggestions on how to do both????? i need some pixie dust.....

Just a thought. I have been stealing toilet seat covers from my workplace. (DOn't tell). I put them in a ziplock bag and will add kleenex/toilet paper for those less than desireable toiliting places that I have been hearing about. Some of us girls have a hard time standing up to pee!

My husband is an engineer and there's no way I could get him to be that organized. I'm just trying to get the kids to try on their pants to make sure they still fit. Doing a day by day fashion show? That would be harder than it was to get them to sit still for passport photos

We're leaving on Thursday...a lot to do between now and then (not to mention WORK!)

Brenda what a women!!! But how do I tell ya what we've been told, some of the restrooms( if you call them that ) are just holes in the ground. Some friends told us that.Lets hope not!! Was going to bring some T.P. also, maybe get some from the ship, need the room for my cloths and shoes!!! mheywood14

Kevnbren - well done on the toilet seat thingies ! Hate to confirm - yes in france it can be holes in the floor and to coin a phrase they are GROSS everybit as gross as you imagine but they are few and far between , get a few glasses of wine inside me and I'll tell you what happened when I last had to use one .

I feel like I have crashed the teen board ! Glad they are all starting to make friends - watch out for my son Matt - he is 14 - tall - and quite obviously English

i play mostly all sports like right know soccer, football(tackle) basketball(champs) gymnastices,. I dont know if i am going to dress up for pirate night.
Yea i would love to go to the movie with u!(even know ive seen it) but i love it so much i'll watch it again!!! The thing that stinks is that im 12.. i turn 13 after the cruise and i probly wont be able to hang with u lots like only nights and in the pool

I do drill team which is competitive dance, but I do like doing gymnastics.
