JUN 06 2007 Magic - 10 day Mediterranean ( READ INFO POST # 1 )

Here's the plan...those participating will be assigned a specific day to distribute your gifts. That way we have a little surprise to find each day, as opposed to getting gifts all at once. Right now it looks like those participating should bring 15 gifts total.

Those participating so far are:
1. grizbuzz
2. pjtulsa
3. aquaholics
4. sbassgva
5. funnybunny921
6-11. sharolyn (who has 6 cabins, including J&HSal)
12. crusincrazy
13. TravelingGypsies
and I think MHeywood14 (14) and marlaymike (15) , but I'm waiting for confirmation and cabin numbers from them.

I had the list of movies that were going to be on our sailing but cant find it, I know Cars, Shrek & the new Pirates pirate: were 3 of them. Without calling DCL. which I havent had good experiences with, all I could find out is that Generally any Disney/Miramax film currently out will be showing on the ship as well as some older things. popcorn::

Is anyone interested in doing Palo's as a large group??? The DCL website said they have a room for 12-14 that can be reserved on the ship. I havent been able to get a reservation for 2 so I thought this might be fun for our group.
Let me know if anyone is interested in Palo's maybe on one of our sea days?

we would love to be part of the palo group any night except rome. later is preferred 700 or later. john

That might be fun as a group. I know we have a couple reservations for 4 of us, but we might be interested in another night. I have 6 other adults traveling with me who do not have reservations...so let me know if you get this....

when we sailed in 2004 in the theater we only saw movies that had not been released yet, but that were schedule for release later in the summer...we went on the same week as this cruise...so we saw what was being shown in the theaters as upcoming releases. We all thougth that was pretty cool. In the room on tv they show all the older disney films...we shall see, maybe they have changed their way of doing things.

For those of you that haven't been on the magic since late 2005, they added a HUGE Jumbotron by the Goofy pool and main dance area. They show late night movies (1st run) and other special shows during the day. We cruised during March Madness in 2006 & I must say basketball at sea with a cold beer and warm sun is awesome!
12 days till its Magic.
John

pjtulsa we are four in our group
I'm going to speak with all of them and let you know

Hi All,

Just in from Disney are the movies that will be showing on board and also the formal, semi-formal and theme night schedule. I know we have already shared the schedule but thought I would share again for those that missed it.

Nights 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 10: cruise casual
*Night 2: "formal night"
*Night 8: pirate night with deck party
*Night 9: "semi-formal night"

MOVIES
Wild Hogs
Meet the Robinsons
Bridge to Terabithia
Prestige
Pirates of the Caribbean 'Dead Man's Chest'
Pirates of the Caribbean 'At World's End'
Invisible
Casino Royale
Italian Job
Moulin Rouge
Phantom of the Opera
Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Ware-Rabbit
The Incredibles

Palos
Anyone still interested in dining at Palo's as a group should email their first/last names & stateroom number, if you havent already. If you already have a dinner reservation I will not be able to include you in our list because they will only allow one reservation per meal/per person, including large groups. We will be limited to 12-14 Adults and there is no guarantee that we will get the reservation but I will try my hardest when I get on the ship. So if you currently have a reservation keep it or if you can get one, do so. I tried to do this directly but DCL said large groups are only accommodated on the ship if space is available. (keep your fingers crossed)

My Head is starting to spin :dance3: during the final prep before we leave on Sat. Hope everyone is doing well packing and getting ready for this great trip we are getting ready to set sail on.

Just PM or email me if you would like to sign up for the gift exchange. Bring 15 gifts and I will give you a list with cabin numbers and the day to deliver your gifts at the Thursday meet and greet. :santa:

We aren't bringing a "fish extender" for the cruise. Could we still do the gift exchange without one or do we need one for collecting gifts?

Also, I'm really having a hard time figuring out what type of gift would be little enough to pack and still cute. LOL. This is why I haven't signed up for the exchange yet -- but I bet my little guys would like getting gifts each day. Without giving too much away, can anyone share some ideas on gifts or tell about gifts they've received on previous cruises?

For anyone that needs a tux shirt:

Michael's Crafts Stores has a tux shirt, complete with black bow tie for $14.95
That, my friends, is a bargain!!

This is new to me too, and I think I have made something all the Adult Girls (moms) and even the little girls will like. On other threads I read they were talking about nametags, lanyards, candy(for a group movie night), wine (for a wine tasting party), rubber ingraved bracelets, magnets & postcards, anything pirate and I also heard from another sailing that she was getting little tins and putting Mickey Mints in them. That sounded cute but couldnt find the mints....

Good Luck,
Paula

Can not wait!!! I just finished up with the last tour details, faxing the vatican my list of names, and now am DONE. I am so excited!!!! Yikes, is this going to be like a wedding, so much planning and it is over in a milisecond!! Well, that just means i will have to enjoy each and every millisecond!!!

See everyone on board!!!

Oh....for those interested, we are meeting at the port at 9 am on Weds morning to drop off our bags, and then heading over to the chocolate museum. We plan on being back to board at around 1ish. If you are interested, just show up at 9am ish.

See ya onboard...
Sharolyn

Nope, you don't need a fish extender... I don't have one. We're just leaving gifts by, under, on cabin door.

PM me your cabin number if you want to participate.
