Jumping January Exercise Challenge

I'm in for 930 minutes this month. I'm hoping to get in better shape and build endurance for our big family trip in June.

So far I've done 60/930.

I would like to join for 30 of 600 so far. Need to get in shape for May trip.
:cool1::yay:

Count me in this month. I have 3 races so with taper and recovery between I'll need to scale back to 1200
Thursday - 60 min walk
Friday - 30 min treadmill run 15 min elliptical
105/1200
Thanks for hosting.

I'm in!! PHM training is in full swing and I have a lot of ground to cover.
Please put me down for 1000 minutes. I will update on Sunday's.

Yeah we have lots of people joining us! I'll update everyone tonight when I'm on the computer. I am continuing slug status at the moment!

Wow! What an awesome team we have for January!

I'm adding on the minutes of yesterday's run and today's - 116 minutes. This morning was the coldest air temps I've ever run in - 6 miles in 0 degrees. I thought my chin was going to get frostbite and tongue swells in the cold weather. . I need to get a neck gaiter or something.

But I'm excited about being off to a good start. Here's hoping in continues when I get back to work on Monday and life gets back to "normal". (bluck)

30 min of p90x3 for me for today. Today was yoga which I definitely needed. I can see the pattern of why the workouts are scheduled the way they are.

I love seeing everyone joining for January. It's always a great month to start fresh, or at least get back to basics. If only I could get my eating under control. I have some serious weight to lose this year and I've decided that this will be the year I actually do it.

103/930

60/620. Did my workout for the first time after work today because I thought it would be wiser to start back up while I had some days off in a row. Feeling better and better every day.

I'm in for 800! I have another 5k coming up. The only wrench in the plan is that I developed Achilles tendinitis after my last 5k and it isn't healing as quickly as I hoped. But at any rate, here I go!

45/500

I did 45 minutes of strength training this morning, but I did take it easy somewhat so I ease back into working out after getting over the stomach virus. Yesterday I felt fine, it was a much better day than Friday. But the last time I worked out before today was Wednesday, so it felt great!

Back to work/school tomorrow, which always makes me sad because I enjoy the time off with my kids so much. Despite the stomach virus going around and taking turns throughout the family (DH has it now since late last night), the break was still nice and we managed to have some really great times. Tomorrow begins my busiest season of work, for the next month. Daily rehearsals after school plus a few Saturdays as well. I love running this show though, and it is so nice to watch the students work together as teams and put the whole production together themselves with just a little guidance from me and our team of faculty advisors. Looking forward to another successful year of SING. You guys should google "SING in NYC high school" and you could read all about this amazing student run musical production. It's very interesting and quite a learning experience for all of them. Most of the time they don't even realize they're learning valuable lessons through this process, which makes it priceless! :)

Day 4 of p90x3 done. For me, today's workout felt like the equivalent of running speed intervals at the track... while carrying a weight and pressing it above your head a bunch of times. Lol. I felt good that I could do all the moves but my endurance was pushed as hard as my hard running workouts. So far I feel like I can stick to this program. It's nice that its something different each day of the week. It did near kill me not to go out for my weekend run today since it was a nice 50 degrees (in January?!) but the winds picked up by the time we got home from church and errands so I didn't go out. After this week of seeing each workout once, I promised myself I would figure out how to fit in at least a weekly run.

Good luck to everyone who is returning to "normal routines" tomorrow. Our house is too, although DH and I have been working since dec 26, DS going back to school always makes life more... Exhausting. Hope I can keep up the workouts with that. Plus it's DH and my busy time at work. Yay. Not.

133/930 :)

29 minutes of abs and arms brings my total to:

196/1000

Personally, I'm feeling mixed about life going back to "normal" tomorrow. I'm feeling a bit anxious about going back to work. There is a ton to do before the Stpring semester starts on 01/12 and my boss is still out on medical leave so the burden and everyone's demands fall on me.

However, I always forget how many dishes one little family makes when we're home so very much. Dishes - those I will not miss.

Hope everyone finds the time to fit workingout into your schedule as routines fall back into place.
