Jumping, Dancing & Jamming Our Way Through Walt Disney World! I'm With the Band Now!

That picture from in front of the Plaza is gorgeous and I love that you took one with each of the kids in the same view, too.

VEry cute Mickey shirt you have on.

Sorry your interactions with CM's together did not go well. So annoying!

I spent 36 minutes and 21 seconds (yes I saved the time from my cellphone) only to be told that the rude castmember didn't know what she was talking about. There is no pin code attached to anyone in my household's name.

Arrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! :headache:

I could be wrong but isn't this the second time someone at Disney has told you that they have a PIN code for you only to find out the no they don't?

That's terrible! Glad you took the survey though. I've been on the phone with them tons lately, and the different stories you hear from each one is really frustrating. I was told that there were no spring discount rooms left at CBR, only pirate rooms, and then only a king room. ?? For now, we're booked with no discount.

Maybe next time, I'll get the discount on a standard room, and maybe you'll get your code after all!

There is no pin code attached to anyone in my household's name. This castmember was very nice and tried her best to make the numbers that the first castmember make sense. She couldn't figure it out either. I am sure that I'm just going to have to keep what I have booked now (Spring room only offer) but I am going to send an email to Disney letting them know how frustrated I am.

Like I told you earlier; I think they should have to honor the pin offer if they told you that you had one. When I worked in retail we had to honor prices that were quoted to the customer, even if it was wrong.

I wonder about the booking CMs at times though, you should get the same answer from every single person you speak with, or get someone who has the authority to make it happen!! You can get 3 different answers from 3 different CMs within a 30 minute time frame :sad2:.

I just want to say how jealous I am of Hunters eyelashes. I swear that all the boys in my family have the most beautiful lashes, and us girls got thin wimpy ones.

I love the view from the Plaza:lovestruc I think next time, that's where I'll shoot Wishes from!

OMG, I thought the SAME thing about Hunter's lashes!! So jealous!!!!!

Oh boo! I'm sorry that the first girl CM was full of it. :rolleyes2 People should really be careful in those call centers!

You really don't seem to have the best of luck with phone CM and PIN codes. Hope it works out in the end! (and that it doesn't take two thousand phone calls like last time).

How awesome that Lacey is home for a while! What a GREAT surprise for Ashly, too!!
I can totally relate to being frustrated with Disney. The last 2 times that I called them, I was on hold for at least 30 minutes. I hope that you eventually get a pin code, though. It stinks going there as much as we do & not getting a pin code.

Sorry....that stinks! :headache:

So frustrating! Sorry.....:headache:

That stinks! I hate dealing with rude and incompetent people. :sad2: I had to email Disney once over a situation and surprisingly, a human being called me back! I hope you get it all worked out. I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like Disney is sending out less pin codes than they used to. Until last year, I was getting about 5 offers a year through emails or snail mail. Now I get nothing! :confused3

Would I be wrong if I guessed the castmember didn't end the call by telling you to have a "Magical Day"? :rotfl:

Sticking around for the survey is about the best you can do. With enough bad reviews they might decide to change their attitude. Good luck with your next call. Hopefully you'll get a deal that works for you!

Thanks all! I was so frustrated by the time I got off the phone the third time. I know that Disney is a BIG place/operation but you'd think that all of the castmembers would tell the same story. The last one that I spoke with tried all that she could to find out why the first rude CM said I had a pin. She looked everywhere and even had another CM help her but neither one could figure it out.

This is the second time I have encountered this sort of run-around with Disney. The first time was a pin code flyer that my mother actually received in the mail but when we called, they said it wasn't meant for her and should have been addressed to another person. :confused3

Oh well, I think that I'm going to give it one more try at lunch and see what they tell me.

Oh, Lisa, give Jesse a big hug from me too. What a sweetie to let his bride come home to celebrate with her cousin. That is just wonderful.

Okay...I admit, I skipped the truck pictures (not a fan of that or Nascar), but as I scrolled through it looks like you had a good time.

Love the photos with Mickey and Minnie; we have to do that this year.

I'll give him a hug and tell him it's from you! He's such a sweet young man and we are honored to have him in our goofy family.

I'm not a real big race fan but the Monster trucks were a nice diversion.

Sorry I haven't been around in a few days. We've been spending all the time we can with Lacey and my niece is getting married this weekend so I'm volunteering to do whatever I can to help with the wedding.

I'm hoping to get an installment posted this afternoon. Hang tight!

As I've had to post before, I know that there are more pictures that I don't have uploaded to Photobucket but I pretty much remember what we did and the order in which we did them. So, I shall carry on with this trip report!

After a short pit stop in the bathrooms nestled between The Plaza and Tomorrowland Noodle Station, we walked into Tomorrowland and past Stitch's Great Escape. I had already subjected John and Mama to it on our previous day at the Magic Kingdom. No need to make him suffer again.

The line for Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin was short so we hopped in and got our game on. I am so not a gamer but I hit the volcano and my score went waaaay up! That one little laser score brought out the competitive side of me and I utilized a tip that I had read on the Dis.....aim for the farthest out targets and you'll get higher scores. I also utilized another tip....hold the trigger down constantly and you don't have a cramp in your shootin' finger. ;) We all came away with pretty decent scores and I was pleased with myself for sure.

Next up was Space Mountain. I took a picture of the Stand By Wait time but I can't read it. I don't remember it being super long because we wouldn't have gotten in line but would have opted to get a Fastpass.

John said that he would wait for us outside because he doesn't like the jarring and twisting. And, at times, the flashing and whizzing by lights make him feel odd and he'd rather sit it out than risk having a epileptic seizure. It's odd that Space Mountain does that to him but he has no problems on TOT, RRC or Buzz.:confused3

Some pictures of the queue:

All too soon our trip through outer space was over and we were on the moving conveyor belts on the way out of the building:

Hunter was way ahead of us:

We found John sitting in the broad open sun on a bench. I swear I don't see how the man does it. He can sit in the sun like that and it never bothers him. I, on the other hand, always seek out a shady spot. We were all starting to get hungry and we thought we'd go ahead and find some grub before all the other folks in the MK had the same idea. But, where were we going to go to get that grub? Hum? Don't know? Well, how 'bout I take a picture while the family decides.

**Up next: Lunch with a puppet

As I said when I left off, we were ready to get something to eat but we weren't sure what we wanted. We started out towards Fantasyland and ended up at Pinocchio's Village Haus. I don't know if this is the "norm" now but at the time we had to wait on all of our food before we could go look for a table. I'm not quite sure if I like that process but, hey, it is what it is (or was what it was ). Once Lacey and I had all of our food, we met John and Hunter and found a table. Lucky for us, it wasn't peak lunch time and we were able to find a table easily. It was no surprise that Hunter wanted pizza:

100_2188.jpg

We also paid out of pocket for an order of fries for Hunter which you can see in the picture above.

I ordered a chicken caesar salad and a cup of soup because I didn't want anything too heavy:

100_2189.jpg

Salads at Pinocchio's Village Haus are huge. They pile the lettuce on and I have never been able to eat an entire salad. There's simply too much for me but I am a salad freak and could eat them at least once a day if not more.

John and Lacey both ordered chicken tenders/nuggets and fries:

**Up next: Can you hold me up? and I'm so dizzy!

I have heard that you have to have your food before you can sit down. I personally don't like that idea, only because I'm thinking of families with small kiddos. Usually one parent goes and get food, while one finds a seat and get the kids settled. I can see why they have that rule, to keep non-paying customers off the seats. Maybe a different approach is needed.:confused3

I had a casear salad in Disney in last Jan and it was very good too. I do like a nice big salad!

I am so hoping they are not still doing the table thing when we get there in May. Dale usually goes and gets our food while Dallas and I go get the table. I would think it would cause a HUGE traffic jam at the ordering stations to have a whole family standing there. I know if all of us were to go it would be 6 of us instead of having 2 go for the food. OH well, I guess we will see!!

I do get why they do the "you have to have food to get a table" thing, but I can see that getting cumbersome with larger groups and little kids! We haven't come across that yet!

Love Space Mountain! John can sit in the sun...I'm with you and your thrill seeker offspring speeding through the darkness of space!

We have never eaten at the Village Haus. Odd, considering Pinocchio is Jeff's favorite character. :confused3

My son and I love the thrill rides too! Space Mountain is definately our favorite "thrill" ride in MK. Ben likes Splash Mtn also but I am not a fan of being wet so we usually only ride it once - right before heading back to our room so I don't have to be wet for long :thumbsup2

Maybe they only do the "have food before getting a table" thing during the busier times, cause they definitely weren't doing it last month! I saw lots of families that were splitting up to go look for a table while the rest got the food, including at Pinocchio Village Haus.

When we were ther in Jan we never had the wait to get your seat problem...thank goodness with the kids!
