Jumping, Dancing & Jamming Our Way Through Walt Disney World! I'm With the Band Now!

That was a great update. I loved all your pictures of fantasyland. You got some great views of both the new and old.

I also love your pictures from Snow White! Score! Way to work that camera. :thumbsup2

Thanks for all of the Fantasyland photos! I can't wait to get over there in May to see how it looks now.
Poor Jesse- between the bad weather and all of the waiting and uncertainty- that poor kid must've been exhausted! I'm glad he made it ok & that you guys can all enjoy each other's company for the dinner & wedding. Have an awesome weekend!

Great update!

That's crazy that Jessie ended up back in Houston after just leaving there. Thank goodness he is finally home with you guys, hope you have a nice time at the wedding and the weather doesn't wreck havock on that too.

Great Fantasyland pics, I love the Snow White ride! I will be so sad to see that go, although I'm looking forward to seeing the new Mine Coaster Ride when that opens.

Boy that stinks about your SIL. I hate flying so that would've torn my nerves up! :scared1: I'm glad he made it back safely!

Hey, you found my 'secret hiding place' at MK! We go up on that balcony at Pinn. to have a snack and get away from the hoards of people sometimes. It's a nice little hideout!

I tried taking pictures in Philharmagic on our last trip too and they didn't turn out well. I just love that show though!

You got some great pictures on Snow White. Do I see some flash being used there??? :rolleyes1 Don't worry, I won't tell a soul! :rotfl:

Awesome pictures of Fantasyland! I can't wait until I can see the progress...in 10 days!!! :woohoo: The old skyway building just looks sad!

Glad to hear Jesse made it to Monroe safely! Our chance for rain fell greatly through the day and we did not get anything on Saturday! I am sure the wedding turned out great wherever they decided to have it!

I can hardly wait to see the progress that has been made to the new Fantasyland expansion either. You gotta take tons of pictures and come back and write a trip report.

The rain held off on Saturday and it was a beautiful warm Spring day!

Jesse was one tired young man when he finally made it to Monroe.

We have eaten on the little balcony several times but many times we've found it to be roped off.

Yes you did see some flash on Snow White......but....there were hardly any people on the ride so I figured it didn't matter.

Great update!

Jesse got to see Houston twice and Baton Rouge once which are both two places he wanted to visit...just not in a situation like that.

I am looking forward to seeing the progress that they've made on the new Fantasyland expansion.

From what I've read, you and I will be able to see some of the new Storybook Circus expansion. I think one of the Dumbos will be open.

Jesse was exhausted. He slept for three hours straight after he got to our house.

I admit to using flash in Snow White but there were very few other people on the ride and they wer using their camera too so I figured it'd be okay. ;)

Poor Jesse, having to put up with all of those flight difficulties! At least he got there safe and sound!

Great shots of the Fantasyland Expansion! Seeing the old Skyway always makes me sad, I used to love taking the buckets back and forth across the park!

It took Jesse quite a while to make it to our house but he made it safe and sound so that's all that matters.

I never got to ride the Skyway attraction but have seen pictures of it.

I'm so glad Jesse made it! I'm sure it was an exhausting trip....yikes!

Thanks for the construction pictures. The closer it gets to opening, the more exciting it is! I can't wait to see the finished product!

I'm going to miss Snow White's Scary Adventures, but I'm glad she will still be represented in the new Fantasyland. I love Snow White!

I am excited to see the new Fantasyland! I have always liked Snow White's Scary Adventures even if it was a very simple/dark ride.

Wow, poor Jesse! That must have been so frustrating, but I'm glad he is safe and there now. I'm sure he is glad too, and Lacey!

Love the pictures of Fantasyland, new and old. :goodvibes

He was an exhausted man once he made it to our house. He slept for 3 hours straight!

Jesse probably wishes he had driven down from Tennessee now. Sounds like he would have been there sooner had he taken his car. BTW, Lacey is now a grown woman and should be capable of driving in bad weather. You might want to dial back your "MOM" instincts a bit.....it that's at all possible. :confused3 Hasn't she recently told you she's not a baby any longer???

They thought about Jesse driving down but then they have two cars and his dad had the flyer miles so it was more cost effective. Oh, I wouldn't have wished driving in the storm upon my worst enemy! It was horrible and there were flash floods everywhere. I would have been "Mom" to anybody who suggesting driving in that weather.;)

I am going to wait until I get out of the no picture zone before I read your update, but I am so happy that Jesse finally made it to your home, safe and sound. What a PITA!

Have a wonderful rehearsal dinner today and a fab wedding tomorrow and, of course, don't forget the pictures. ;) did I even have to ask? :rotfl:

You know that I took pictures of the wedding! Hopefully, I can get a few posted today.

Ugh, talk about a long plane ride! Glad he's finally home.

We were too!

Poor Jesse! I bet he's glad to be home with you all now. I hope the weather brightens up tomorrow, but at least you seem to have some back up plans.
I did out last snow white ride last April too. I never got to it again in Aug, but thats OK, cause my last memory on it is with Claire.

Aww, it's sweet that your last memory of Snow White's Scary Adventure was when you rode with Claire. :cloud9:

I'm glad that Jesse arrived safe and sound. How exhausting for him!

I hope that you and your family enjoy the wedding weekend (where ever it may be)!

Thank you! The wedding turned out great. I hope to get a few pictures posted later today.

The rain held off on Saturday and it was a beautiful warm Spring day!

I will try and get lots and lots for a picture full TR! ;) I got a new camera and cannot wait to try it out! :yay: Did you hear?....Storybook Circus is soft opening today!! People are getting to ride the Great Goofini (sp??) and Dumbo! I really want to see what this looks like too!

So happy it turned into a pretty day! We had gorgeous weather and did lots of yard work. It seemed all of the rain and storms you guys had disappeared around the MS River so we got little of the wet stuff and the storms moved north of us, thank goodness!

I did hear! I am anxiously waiting for someone to post pictures.

The weather on Saturday was beautiful. I told my sister that she must have cashed in every good deed she had ever done to God because it was so pretty. I'm glad that the storms went around ya'll. It was super bad here yesterday. My entire front yard looked like a lake.

Having escaped the evil clutches of the witch at Snow White's Scary Adventure, we set off to see what other adventures we find. We ambled upon The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and were surprised that there wasn't much of a wait at all. The sign said 20 minutes but we could tell that it wouldn't be that long.

The new interactive queue was a hit with the kids in the line but, like I said, there wasn't much of a line so they didn't get to play much before their parents hurried them along.

100_2243.jpg

Young and old alike were having the best time playing/feeling of the dripping honey. If you rubbed in the right spot and quick enough, a drawing of a character would appear but you to look quickly because the honey would drip right back over them.

100_2247.jpg

100_2244.jpg

The search for the characters was short-lived because, as I said, there wasn't much of a line and we were soon being asked "how many" and were shown to our honey pot and were bouncing, trouncing, flouncing (okay, so I am not sure if trouncing and flouncing are words that are remotely related to Pooh but I like to rhythm so there you go ) our way past the cutest scenes.

Our adventures with Pooh were over and we were, again, searching for our next one. Hum, it had been a couple of years since we gave the tea cups a spin, let's go there!

***continued in next post

As we walked over to the tea cups, I took two pictures of the construction:

100_2268.jpg

We all fit into one tea cup and we waited for the rest of the guests to get in their cups and for the ride to start:

And, then, we were off! Everybody was spinning the wheel in the middle (except for me because I was taking pictures)

Woooo baby! By the time we stopped spinning I felt like the little rat in the teapot. :crazy2:

100_2283.jpg

We wobbled over to the side of the tea cups and John called Mama to see if she was ready to come to the park. She said that she was just about to call him and was going to bus stop at the CBR in about 5 to 10 minutes. That meant she'd be there in about 20 to 30 minutes. Guess we'll head to the front of the park and wait.

**Up Next: Why in the world haven't I had this before?

The fantasyland construction photos are great! Makes me excited to see the end result. I love the new interactive line at Pooh, so much better for the little kids. My son (16) and I both loved the honey wall the last time we were there and ended up standing there and playing with it for a while even though there was no line, it was addictive. Your teapot pics are great - you can tell everyone is laughing in the pictures, I love candid shots!

Love all the teacup pictures! You are a brave lady to get on that one! I have no problem admitting that I cannot handle it! Looks like you guys were having a very good time though!

We had the same experience with the Pooh queue. The line was moving too fast for us to really check it all out. Isn't that terrible... I complain if there IS and line and complain if there ISN'T! They had a large portion of it roped off too so we didn't even get to see some of it. I guess they do that when it's not crowded. :confused3

I still haven't played in the new Winnie the Pooh queue! The honey wall and everything looks so cute and fun!

Neither have I, but I am so doing it this summer with my nephews.

I love the pictures of the family on the teapots. That picture of the kids is great.

And - wow - more construction pics - nice!

Great Tea Cup pictures! I love taking pictures while we spin away!!!

It had been a year or so since we had been on the teacups and I had forgotten how spinny they are.

The new Pooh queue is neat especially for the little kids (or kids at heart). Just remember to bring along the hand sanitizer since you don't know where all those hands before you have been. ;)

It was tough to keep up with the flowing honey. You'd start revealing part of a character and the honey would cover it up again.

I am excited to see what Fantasyland ends up looking like too! It's good to know that we aren't the only kids at heart who played in the honey.:rotfl:

You are a brave, brave woman to ride those teacups! Kudos to you! ;)

And, I'll gladly accept those kudos. :thumbsup2 The family did not slow down on the spinning one little bit the entire time.

We did have a great time on the tea cups. I had forgotten how very fast they can spin though.

Yeah, who would have ever thought that we'd complain about a short line?

2 update behind!:sad2:

I'm glad Jesse got there safe and sound after all of that! I bet he slept 'round the clock!

Thank-you for all the pictures of Snow White, Our last ride was Jan 2011. So sad.

I am dizzy just looking at your Teacup pictures! I can't have the girls spin me or my breakfast may reappear!

I can't wait until the Fantasy land construction is complete!
