Jumping, Dancing & Jamming Our Way Through Walt Disney World! I'm With the Band Now!

WE loved Mexico, the girls had lots of fun trying on the sumberos and posing by the foutains.

Maybe someday you'll get one of those craved animals!

The pictures from the wedding are just stunning! Beautiful family and extended family!

Loved your pictures from the Mexico ride. This is one of our favorites, but honestly, I don't enjoy the addition of cartoon ducks. It was a much more relaxing and romantic ride before.

Thanks for showing us the hidden mickey one- didn't know that was there.

I am so glad you are slow to post, because I am so incredibly behind on all TR's right now.
I love the wedding pictures. Again, as I said before, she looks gorgeous! Jessie did good with the ring too!

I visited a few World Showcase shops this past trip, but I can't remember much about them. I think it was so hot that it has made my memory blurred. LOL! I can remember more from our spring trip than this most recent one.
I didn't get a chance to ride the Mexico ride again this trip, so it's nice to see your pictures.

Thats a bummer about Hunter. But perhaps that means you will be heading on the Disney Dream then? :dance3: Which isn't all bad either.

I hope the Dr gets Johns meds all worked out. I understand what he's doing, but you just wish it could go faster and be alrgiht now.

Hi Lisa! I was away from the Dis for a bit over the summer, but have been back for about a week and got all caught up on your TR. I love them all, and that you're able to spread them out over the course of a year so that we're never without a little taste of Disney to tide us over :cloud9:

First off - Lacey's wedding pics are beautiful! She and Jesse just seem so happy together, and it shows! And kudos to you and your entire family for putting so much hard work into it - my sister got married at our farm this summer (I'll cover the highlights in my TR) so I know just how much it takes to get something like that pulled together!!

Too bad about Hunter not being chosen (yet - it'll come) for NYC. I went on two school trips (one in grade 8 to Japan, one in grade 10 France) and have very fond memories of both. Fingers crossed that he gets picked!! pixiedust: (Because the Dis has no "fingers crossed guy" that I can find :))

Can't wait to hear more!!

I love the Mexican Pavilion and the boat ride...of course I am a sucker for Donald Duck so that really makes it great!! I want one of those little carved animals too...but I don't have one for the same reason you mentioned!

I am several pages behind and I am just going to catch up when I get home tonight and can see your pictures.

I am sorry that Hunter is #20 on the waiting list. that's a bummer! It's got to be so disappointing to have not made the top 50. Almost a little unfair, I guess.

Anyway - pixie dust could happen. You just never know. :wizard:

Glad to hear he is doing so well in football. That's awesome.

I love the glass blower's shop...it's one of my favorite places in the World Showcase. Jonah is just fascinated by the glass blower! He could stand there for hours!

I love the Lightening McQueen and Mater topiaries....way cute! :thumbsup2

Hellooooooo humans! I hope that everybody is having a good morning this morning. I know that I, for one, am glad that it's Friday. I am even more delighted by the fact that we close up shop here at the office at Noon on Fridays. John's been off work virtually all week because one of their main machines shut down and they can't seem to get it to work for any period of time. Thank goodness for our own cabinet shop. John was able to go out and do some other jobs that people had been waiting on him to do. One was a pretty major one and will bring in quite a bit of profit. So, I guess the broken down saw was a blessing in disguise.

I don't think I told ya'll that Mama, my sister and my niece went to Pigeon Forge this week. They left Saturday morning and arrived later that evening. Lacey and Jesse drove over from Knoxville Wednesday, spent the night at the same hotel and then spent part of the day with them on Thursday. Lacey said Mama cried when they left. She and Mama are super close and it hurts us all that Lacey is so far away. I'm just happy that they were all able to enjoy some time together. Mama called this morning and they are on their way home and should get here some time late this afternoon/early evening. That's if they don't do a lot of stopping along the way which I have a feeling they will since everybody in that group has some sort of achy something or other.

I don't have too much planned for this weekend other than doing more sewing. My niece rented a booth at a local craft show that's next weekend and she wanted to know if I had anything I wanted her to sell for me. I told her that I had a few things and now I am working on more of the pillowcase style dresses for little girls.

I think John and Hunter are going with one of John's childhood friends to the car races this evening. I wouldn't mind going but I really need to stay home if I am going to get any sewing done.

Oh and I've decided that I'm going to start writing on my blog again. I hadn't posted on it in quite some time due to the fact that we were planning Lacey's wedding. I need to post the link for those of you who aren't already following along.

If my boss' client stays in his office a while longer, I'll try and write an installment and post replies. If not, then I hope to get something done this weekend in between sewing, errand running, etc.

Lisa try to relax a little this weekend too...you are always so busy. I have not had a do nothing day in awhile now but that is what I am planning for Sunday although I have a few things I want to do around the house too. Tonight I have an auction to go to ( I have started a small antique business on the side). Tomorrow my grandson is in a soccer tournament and then there is a turkey supper in the next town we want to go to. Busy time of year but the foliage up here is not very good this year so there are not loads of tourists. Also Xmas is right around the corner and then I will be real close to my Disney trip:banana::banana::banana:

We all enjoy watching the glass blower too. It's so neat how they make and mold things from glass.

Weren't the topiaries the cutest? I wish they would extend the F&G Festival out to the end of May like they used to.

I am several pages behind and I am just going to catch up when I get home tonight and can see your pictures.

Glad to hear he is doing so well in football. That's awesome.

The teachers at the school encouraged the parents NOT to bring their children to the lottery drawing because the kids who did not get chosen would be upset if they were not chosen. I couldn't believe how many kids were there. I felt so bad for the ones who weren't in the top 50. I knew exactly how they felt because I was sitting in for Hunter and I felt miserable when Hunter's name wasn't chosen.

I love the Mexican Pavilion and the boat ride...of course I am a sucker for Donald Duck so that really makes it great!! I want one of those little carved animals too...but I don't have one for the same reason you mentioned!

One of these days, I am going to remember to stick back some extra spending money so I can actually buy one of the carvings.

Glad to have you back on the Dis! You definitely need to post pictures of your sister's wedding 'cause I'd love to hear (and see) all abouti t.

Hunter would pee his pants if he were given the opportunity to go to Japan. My brother-in-law and nephew have both been and they both really enjoyed it.

I am not giving up on the hope that Hunter will get to go to New York City. From the way the teacher talked, it's still a very real possibility.

I am so glad you are slow to post, because I am so incredibly behind on all TR's right now.

Don't worry about being behind. I'm behind on all of my Dis related stuff. I can't seem to keep up now-a-days.

If Hunter doesn't go to NYC, then we will have an extra $1,500 or so in our vacation budget. A trip on the Dream may just happen. By the way, I got the box you sent. Thank You so much! :worship:

Thank you Dee. I thought the wedding turned out quite well considering we did it all ourselves.

I am kind of on the fence about adding the cartoon characters to the Mexico ride as well. I guess they felt the need to add something that the kids could relate to.

WE loved Mexico, the girls had lots of fun trying on the sumberos and posing by the foutains.

Maybe someday you'll get one of those craved animals!

Mexico is a very neat pavilion but it's so darn hard to get decent pictures there.

I don't know what "relax" is. I don't do well with just sitting. My mind is always saying "you could be doing this" or "you could be doing that".

How cool that you've started a business. I love love antique shopping. There's a strip of road in our old "downtown" and it's basically nothing but antique shops with a few more modern type stores thrown in. It's actually called "Antiqu Alley".

Lisa, I hope you have a quiet weekend...I don't know how you do all that you do. It's always good that dad/son spend some time together. Sorry Mama cried when Lacey left, but glad they got some time together.

Hi Lisa, enjoying your TR as always! I am with Kathy, I have no idea how you do all that you do. My hat is off to you!:thumbsup2

That about made me cry when you said your mama cried when she said goodbye to Lacey. I am so glad they got to spend a bit of time together.

Love the glass blower in Mexico and I have had one excellent meal in Sunshine Seasons and a couple of not so great ones. The strawberry shortcake is what keeps me going back. Well and the fact sometimes I don't have the energy to leave that building waiting for my fastpass for Soarin to come up!

Soarin was my father in law's favorite Disney attraction too, we rode that with him many times in Disneyland. Glad your mama enjoys it as well!

How nice to have a weekend with not too much on the agenda! That's always a blessing! :goodvibes

We have officially canceled our surprise cruise with the boys so I am more anxious than ever to get a new trip scheduled. It looks like it won't be until Spring of 2013 unless some unexpected financial windfall comes along. Sad, but at least I have a date to look forward to. That's better than nothing I suppose!

How sweet that Lacey and Mama are so close. I am very close with my grandmother as well..that is a very special relationship!

It sounds like a nice, quiet weekend. Yay for starting up on your blog again!!! I will go check it out. I totally abandoned mine.
I have to tell you- you made me laugh today when I read the "Helloooo Humans"!! I love that.

Howdy partners! This here is Jessie and my good friend Bullseye! Actually, it's just little old me. I've run out of "good morning" "hey' "how you doing" openings.

So, today I have some good news and some not so good news. Let's start with the bad news so that the good news will be the last thing you remember. :thumbsup2

Bad news....Hunter's football team lost last night. 12 to 22 . The game was really rather blah. It seems like neither team was really trying their best and there were no "woo hoo" moments. John's parents came to watch and, wouldn't you know it, this was the one game that Hunter didn't get to play. Oh well, that's just the way the cookie crumbles...errr....the ball bounces (wait footballs don't really bounce do they?)....errr....ooooh, oooh, I know....that's the way the football player falls. :lmao: Yeah, you can totally tell I am not a football playing kind of gal.

Let's move on to the good news, newes, newess....(I have three :rotfl2:)

News number 1: Remember how Hunter was number 20 on the NYC trip waiting list? Well, as of yesterday, he is officially number 10 on the waiting list! 10 of the top 50 fell off because of their grades. Now, my sane motherly mind says I am not supposed to be happy that so many fell off. But, my "Mama wants Hunter to go to NYC" mind is doing this. :yay::woohoo::banana::cool1::cheer2: As the teacher reassured us at the meeting, there are going to be quite a few that drop off the top 50 due to grades, absences, write-ups, etc. If they keep dropping like they are now, Hunter may end up as number 1 on the list.

Newes number 2: Lacey received a telephone call about a potential job! She had put her application in at a local all hours fitness center and they called her day Monday to ask if she were still interested. She told them that she was and she has a telephone interview today at 2:30 p.m. If that goes well, they will do another one-on-one interview. (She talked with the owner when she filled out the application.) Lacey hasn't been actively looking for a job yet because they had a camping trip planned for this coming weekend. This was something that she and Jesse really wanted to do and they knew they could make it on Jesse's salary for quite some time before they'd have to resort to eating bologna and cheese sandwiches every day.

Newess number 3: John has gotten three jobs since I posted last time. Yay! Two are pretty big jobs and the other one is a smaller one but has potential to become big. The extra money will definitely come in handy since he has had to miss work due to his medicine change over and it will replinish what we paid out on the wedding and receptions.

Wait! I have one more piece of news, which I guess would be newesss number4 :rotfl:: I've gotten even more items in for the school auction. The Price Is Right sent us two hats, two t-shirts, autographed pictures of all the models and Drew Carey and, get this, two VIP tickets to attend the show. I've got to call and find out about the tickets. I am sure they don't include a trip to the studio but I need more information on it so we can put a full description in the auction. I also received a text from R.J. on Swamp People and he's sending an autographed t-shirt and picture. Yesterday, a huge box arrived from Chef Paul Prudhomme. He sent a 13 piece spice set, a cookbook and an autographed apron.

Okay, so I'm stopping here. I am trying to get billing out before my boss comes back from court out of town. I want to be able to tell him the invoices are ready to go to the post office this afternoon.

I am also going to write up an installment during my lunch hour.

TTFN!

Boo for the bad football game, but yay for all the good news! Glad Hunter is closer to making the trip, John got lots of jobs and Lacey might have a new job herself. And that's fantastic that ypu have gotten so much for the fundraiser. I wouldn't even know where to start to get things like that!

Looking forward to the next installment. Looking to get my Disney fix before I leave for Utah this weekend. :woohoo:

Wow Hunter moved up that list really fast! I hope he gets to go! NYC is such a great place to visit!

Sounds like all the great things are happening for you right now! Congrats to Lacey on the job interview! I will keep my fingers crossed for her. My first job out of college was also at a gym, I taught swimming lessons there.....I know get a BA then teach swimming for a career lol. It was great though because when I finally got an office job they let me stay on part time on the weekends, so it was a great way to earn extra money!

That's great that Hunter has already moved up 10 places!!!

All the other great news are great too! And while it's a bummer that they lost a game, they have won a lot before so it's not *too* bad of a news.

WOW! Bummer about Hunter's game, but all the rest of the newessss is wonderful!
I do hope Hunter gets to goto New York. Sam had a blast when she went, and talks about it still. Just remember when he does go, to tell him when you want him to take a picture of him & the Statue of Liberty to get her head in the shot. My Sammy got her and the statues feet!:rolleyes1

You must have some awesome contacts to be getting such nice things for your funraiser! I bet you raise lots O money!

Good Luck to your DH on all his new jobs, I bet he's happier to be worker on his own stuff.
