Updated through post #122

Sorry to be MIA for a few days. We had a crisis at our house, but things are improving.

All my runner friends--anybody ever get a lump on your achilles tendon before? I have had tendonitis, but this is a very specific lump that hurts, not overall tendon pain. Gotta love being an older runner. Something is always broken!:rotfl:

2TxAg--updated your goal.

Deanna--have a great trip!

Drummerwife--congrats on your first half marathon! That is an awesome accomplishment!:yay:

Welcome Back!!!! I hope Italy was fantastic!

I have the same runDisney problem. I have no idea how I'm going to manage 4 trips to disney parks next year, but I've got to figure it out very very soon. And while you were gone..... There has been Rundisney coast-to-coast medal developments. If you run all of the following: the WDW half (or W&D) and the september DL half AND the Tink and the Princess halfs - you can get BOTH coast-to-coast medals in 2014. You know... since you're already running the WDW half and I want you to run the tink/PHM with me..... :) Think about it.... That's a lotta bling.

LOL.

Planning on winning Powerball for both of us?? :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Keeping the mileage low as I want to slowly ramp up this time and hopefully avoid all those nasty, icky IT issues, is KILLING me!!

6/4 - 40 minutes run/walk, abs, PT

82/1200

And today's humorous motivation:

“The only reason I would take up jogging is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.” :lmao: :lmao:– Erma Bombeck

Today's Exercise total - 54 minutes:

Warmup walk - 5 minutes
4 Mile run - 39 minutes
Cooldown walk - 10 minutes

I may get in a P90X workout later today.

June tally - 479/2500

195/900

2-mile 30-minute Walk Away The Pounds

Hope to get a 30-minute walk in the park in town today as well.

Here are my totals over the past few days:

75 minutes of walking the dog
49 minute run
30 minutes of upper body

184/1000

I have had "the lump" on several occasions BUT I have also had surgical repair of my Achilles due to a fractures heal bone. I usually get it after my longer runs or half marathons. Lots of deep pressure point massage to get it worked out. Painful yes but only for about a day if I really work the massage. The one time I didn't work to work it out it was a pain for about a week.

Okay got my run in for National Running Day and spent some time on the bike. Bum is now rebelling over the bike seat. Off to work on the float for DH's employer that will be in the Rose Festival Parade. I have always wanted to know how they put them together and now I have my chance to be part of it.

Thanks for the reply. That makes me feel better. I will definitely work on the pressure point to get it worked out. I have had tendonitis in my other achilles before, but this feels different. I had a couple of really hard workouts between Sat and Mon so I am thinking maybe overuse/swelling, but it made me a little paranoid.

Very cool about the Rose Parade!:goodvibes

Rose, you missed my hours from Sunday when you last updated.

Hours that need to be added in are:
6/2 - 198 minutes
6/4 - 45 minutes
6/5 - 81 minutes

This brings my total to
397/1500

Thanks!

Very envious of you! I used to march in the parade when I was in high school. That was a lot of fun, as long as you weren't marching behind a horse group. :rotfl2:

6/5 - 40 minutes

Good grief - 77 degrees and 70% humidity at 7AM - I was dragging from the start. I may end up doing more indoor work this summer....

197/800

Never thought I'd be saying this, but today I ran 70 minutes on the treadmill for National Running Day. A couple of months ago, this would have been a crazy though for me.....I can't believe C25K actually worked!

240/1500

I have felt soo lethargic these past few days...trying to get in the swing of things, but on a good note, first time in months all my laundry is washed/folded and socks are matched, I am afraid if I counted it would be 250 pairs!!! EEK! Never buying another pair of socks!! No excuse not to exercise!

80 minutes (30 minutes Ripped and 50 minutes treadmill today)

159/2000

Have scheduled to teach swimming to a few children next week, that will keep me active and still maintaining my 5k workouts, only two more days of Ripped need to know where to go from here, it needs to be free and online...maybe trying the Extreme Shed and shred...
