The 10k went better than I could have hoped for. My knee was alerting me it was going to act up, so I took a few extra walk breaks and made it running to the end with no pain post-race. My pace on the running and walking segments was faster than I had anticipated, but it felt good. While the course was USATF certified, my Garmin says it was only 5.8 miles.

We went under several long bridges, so I'm hopeful that when my Garmin lost satellite that it just got confused.

But even if I believe my Garmin's time/distance, I still broke my goal time. I was hoping for an 11:25 pace, and I finished with an 11 min/mile.

Official race results say my pace was 10:15 - I'm not sure that's physically possible for me, but impossible things happen everyday, right?
