Jumpin' June Exercise Challenge--Everyone Welcome!

501/750

Broke 500!!

Adding 20 mins of weights. Was going to go for a run but... lightning! so that meant weights at home.

Anybody have any good routines for that?

Lots of walking in and around airports today, but no exercise to log. I had hoped to get to my destination (traveling for business this week) in time for an evening workout, but I have a meeting in 15 minutes and my flight was delayed 3.5 hours getting here. Bummer. This is only my second day in June with no exercise, but I have been in such a groove. I can't let this put me off my routine.

Updated through post #463. :)

Starting to see lots of turqouise, red and green!

Hope everyone finishes off the month strong! :)

Thanks, Rose!
The 10k went better than I could have hoped for. My knee was alerting me it was going to act up, so I took a few extra walk breaks and made it running to the end with no pain post-race. My pace on the running and walking segments was faster than I had anticipated, but it felt good. While the course was USATF certified, my Garmin says it was only 5.8 miles. We went under several long bridges, so I'm hopeful that when my Garmin lost satellite that it just got confused. But even if I believe my Garmin's time/distance, I still broke my goal time. I was hoping for an 11:25 pace, and I finished with an 11 min/mile. :cheer2: Official race results say my pace was 10:15 - I'm not sure that's physically possible for me, but impossible things happen everyday, right? :rolleyes1

Saturday 6/22: 65 min run/walk
Sunday 6/23: 10 min PT

TOTAL 870/1200

Right there with ya! I've had a few 5k's where my avg. mile was 9:11. HUH????:confused3

Rose - I hit such a wall over the past few weeks that I knew I had to get my head back on straight and start making better decisions. That resulted in me staying on plan yesterday, within my points, and getting my butt out of bed this morning to hit up the elliptical before work. Sometimes the smallest things are enough to get us back on track! :thumbsup2

6/24 - 75 min yoga
6/25 - 30 min elliptical

June = 693/1200

It has truly been a rough several weeks. I feel like a broken record.....

But, we are making some very definite changes. I started two a day cardio workouts of about 30-40 minutes each (for as long as my body puts up with it). Not to share tmi, but I think I am fighting that common problem girls have as they get older. Fun times. I am so nasty cranky that Mike suggested a couple of days in our lady of peace....you know for some r&r.:rotfl2: Anyhow, like most things in life, some good is coming out of all this in that we are taking steps to change some things so that is good.:goodvibes

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

Six more days to change your colors! :goodvibes

6/22: fight club 60; TRX 60...not doing that combination again...
6/24: bike 45; elliptical 45; personal training 30;rower 20; treadmill 25; fight club 60
6/25: bike 40;elliptical 50
2535/2700

1568/1500

66 minutes fitness walking.

Rose, I know all about the cranky and nasty as we get older. My DH sent me solo to WDW for a week to try and help me out.

I think if I asked mine would go for that. I am just miserable.

But the two a day workouts seem to be helping a little bit.

Nice to know I am not the only one, though I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

I ran 3.2 miles this morning at a 10:56 average pace and walked 2.76 tonight at a 14:36 average pace. I was dripping sweat, but feel calm so that is pretty awesome.

Have a great night everyone!

955/900 :yay:

Saturday: 30-minute 2-mile Walk Away The Pounds

Tuesday: 30-minute 2-mile Walk Away The Pounds

45 minute run today. I hope to get some cross training done tomorrow.

Love this!

80 min at the hot and stuffy YMCA tonight lifting and running.

20 min of a torture, I mean pt this morning.

890/800 (I'm going to keep on plugging on!)

Forgot to log this in last night. Did 50 minutes at gym with a combination of cardio and strength. I am going to keep going although I am at my goal. I have to say having this board to post to has really helped, and the best part is I am feeling a lot better physically and mentally than I did just a month ago.

Not sure if I will be able to squeeze anything in tonight, but I give myself a day off each week so this may be the day.

Anyway, thanks everyone. :goodvibes
