Spent the week on a Floating Buffet...I'm sure it will take more than a week to work all that food off! But time with the family before the kids head off to college was worth it all!
6/16 - 40 min bike ride
6/21 - 30 min bike ride
6/23 - 30 min mowing lawn
352/800
(I KNEW I shoulda stayed at 500 for my goal! That might have been achievable)
I'm not sure if I missed a posting (probably the 45 minute run last Wednesday) but my six mile run today (60 min) brings me to 735/1500. Looks like I way overestimated my working out potential this month. Oh well, lesson learned, I'll lower the bar a bit and try to work out a bit more next month.
That's walks and a video. Our poor dog. He's 13 and on yesterday's walk he completely pooped out on us! About 2/3 of the way through (bit over 2 miles) we were walking ahead of him so slowed wayyyy down. Then he came to a complete halt in some shade. He didn't stay long, but it was sad. Then today on just a short (1.39 mile) walk he was behind us again at about halfway. Guess I better do my fast walks without him and take some nice easy ones with him.
105 minutes on the treadmill today. I had absolutely no motivation today, but I did my bridge to 10k run anyway. Then, I realized that I only needed a little over one more mile to hit 40 miles total for the week, so I finished that up too .
You know you're a runner when the summer solstice means ooh! I can go out running later/longer tonight! Or conversely, thank goodness that blasted heat source will set earlier! Lol
Hahahaha! I am ALL about the later runs! Just can't get up at 4:30 and expect a productive run before work. Ugh!
Even though we had to get ready for the party we had Saturday to break in our new tiki hut/bar (which was an EPIC event!) we still managed to get a quick run in Saturday morning, (had to make room for all those lemon drop shots, yum!)
I won't make goal for the month, but it is back on the planned meals and workouts train for this chica! Can't believe it's the end of June already!!
6/22-30 min run
588/1200
How many of us have been here???
Saying "oh, I've already ruined my good eating today, so I'll just eat crap", is like saying, "oh, I dropped my phone on the floor, so I'll just stomp it to pieces."
Thanks, Rose!
The 10k went better than I could have hoped for. My knee was alerting me it was going to act up, so I took a few extra walk breaks and made it running to the end with no pain post-race. My pace on the running and walking segments was faster than I had anticipated, but it felt good. While the course was USATF certified, my Garmin says it was only 5.8 miles. We went under several long bridges, so I'm hopeful that when my Garmin lost satellite that it just got confused. But even if I believe my Garmin's time/distance, I still broke my goal time. I was hoping for an 11:25 pace, and I finished with an 11 min/mile. Official race results say my pace was 10:15 - I'm not sure that's physically possible for me, but impossible things happen everyday, right?
Saturday 6/22: 65 min run/walk
Sunday 6/23: 10 min PT
