We are going in November and I saw this listed as Entertainment in Disneyland. Does anyone know what this is? Also, I saw Tomorrowland Terrace Stellar listed and don't know what that is either. thanks for any help.:goodvibes

I don't know. Maybe they are bands? :confused3 Tormorrowland had a band that plays from time to time. And I remember seeing a rolling band in DCA once. They were playing sufer songs.

On the weekends in Carnation Plaza (to the left of the castle) there is swing music and people go dancing. Some are really really good, and some get dressed up for this.

I got to watch the Jump, Jive, Boogie & Swing dance a couple weeks ago for the first time because I was there without kids. I went and grabbed a dole whip and found a seat just as they were starting. What fun! The band is incredible, and the dancers are really, really fun to watch. If I lived closer to DLR I would want to make it a "date night" with my honey so we could participate. There are young and old alike and there's one guy in a wheelchair that just rocks! If you can, try to catch at least a few minutes of this. It will definitely put a smile on your face.

You didn't specify dates but if it is over Nov 15th the Band with be Stompy Jones. It is also an "unofficial" rockabilly day at the parks so there will be LOTS of free people watching to do and the floor will be Packed! ..

If you are there Nov 8th it is "unofficial" bat day which is where all goth ppl converge on the parks.. which again will be entertaining ppl watching :)

Either way the bands only play on Saturdays at Carnation plaza. They have sets from 7 pm until 1:30 breaking every so often. If you swing dance this is the place to be =)

Actually the 9th is Bat's day :)

I love that this tradition is still going strong. As a kid my Grandparents would always take us over to Carnation for them to do a little dancing. They loved to dance!

I know people who had AP's in the past just to head over for the dancing it was very popular.

I wish I could go for Rockabilly day that sounds so fun!

Is Bat Day always the second weekend in November? Is there somewhere to get that info? Seeing as how it is unofficial, this is only the second time I've heard it mentioned anywhere.

More info is greatly appreciated!!:wizard:

This is the first time Bat's Day has ever been in November. It use to be held the first weekend in August that did not have black out dates for the upper passes, which tended to be the third weekend.

But so many people asked for it to be moved it was decided to make the event a spring event, since there was no time this year for a spring event, it was decided to hold a special Fall event for 2008 and the event will be moved to Spring from here on out.

The official webpage for the unoffical event ;) is http://batsday.net

:lmao: Whoo a website!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!!

OK I'm done thread-jacking
