Okay guys, you are the experts, so put on your thinking caps and get ready to give me some ideas!

One of my co-workers, Shanell, is going to WDW in November with her fiance' Michael and her parents. It will be her parents' anniversary and she really wants to make the trip extra special. So please give me some more ideas to give her. Trying to plan my own trip is making me draw a blank.

So come on, I know you all will have some ideas! GO! :listen:

The carriage rides are very nice and romantic too. The one that starts at POR is very pretty. You can bring your own beverages and snacks. I'm thinking maybe some champagne and chocolates???

Romantic dinner for 2 at California Grill (time it for them to be able to watch the fireworks from there).

I AGREE!!! IT WILL BE UNFORGETTABLE. I TOOK TO MY HUSBAND FOR HIS FORTIETH BIRTHDAY. WE LOVED IT.

Thanks! that was fast! I have to take notes . .. :surfweb:

Please keep 'em comming!

Thought of another one....fireworks cruise. Watching Illuminations from the water with a bottle of champagne....how romantic!

Also, a couples massage at the Grand Floridian Spa!

My first choice however is still that dinner at California Grill. Watching Wishes from there is so amazing!

Thanks so much for your help! I will pass it on! If you should think of anything else, please feel free to post. Thanks!

I've been told that if you tell Disney when you make your reservations that you are celebrating a special occasion, they might leave a nice surprise in your room. I have NO idea if this is actually true, but it's worth a shot!

I find World Showcase at night to be extremely romantic and alluring. The Illuminations Cruise is a great idea.

Of course, it's really expensive, but there's always Victoria and Alberts at the Grand Floridian (way too expensive for me, but I imagine that it lives up to the name if it's so popular).

The shop inside Cinderella's Castle has crystal Glass Slippers. I think this would make an excellent romantic gift. I'm tempted to get myself one everytime I go, but always talk myself out of it. :p

And definitely do dinner somewhere in World Showcase. San Angel Inn in Mexico has an exotic, dark, alluring atmosphere. France and Morocco also have great restaurants.

There's also a book for WDW Luxury style, but I can't recall the name of it right at the moment. Might have some good ideas.

Narcoossees dinner timed to enjoy Wishes from the deck is even more romantic than CG. The food at CG is better, but the view of Wishes across the water is incredible.

BlueZoo in the Dolphin is very sexy chic - they have these wonderful round booths with pillows that are very romantic.

One thing we find in WDW dining that fosters that loving feeling is sharing courses. Sharing the same sensory experiences seems to engender that sense of being one with your mate.

DH & I find time alone in WDW very romantic in general. Strolling World Showcase, especially at dusk, cuddling up on a bench with a beverage treat & watching Illuminations.... :cloud9: We think the exploration trails in AK are very romantic strolling places too. Sitting on the balcony of a Savannah view room at AKL, sipping coffee & watching the animals is great together time. Strolling around Crescent Lake & the Boardwalk, esp. first thing in the morning & late at night is wonderfully romantic.

But the funny thing is, to us, even a bus ride back to our resort becomes romantic when it's just the two of us. I think romance in WDW is a state of mind as much as anything.

How about a nice romantic dinner at Narcoosee's - it's the perfect spot. Then, after dinner, stroll over the Polynesian and go to the beach area. You can view Wishes from the beach at the Poly. Very romantic!

I like the CA Grille idea as well.

We took the carriage ride at Fort Wilderness - very nice.

A day of NFL at ESPN? :duck: :teeth: (J/K)

I like Leota's rundown there. Sure would like to get DW, Marie, there for some of those.

Hey Eileen.

 Hey Dan! Crossing my fingers for you. Time alone in WDW changed Gary (DH) forever. He's finally a real WDW guy.

I'm a computer network engineer by trade - "wildly romantic" doesn't usually enter into the stereotype. My wife is, by her own admission, a bit bookish but doesn't read romances. So our suggestions should be regarded as suspect. On the other hand, those four kids came from some place.

Anyway - our magical romantic Disney moment was getting counter service food from the Yakitori House in the Japan pavilion in Epcot's world showcase and eating it in the japanese garden. It was after dark and there was something special about it.

Walking around the World Showcase is always romantic for us.

Spaceship Earth once broke down while we were on it (I don't know how you arrange that in advance) so we just made out like a couple of teenagers until the ride started again.

This is the stuff daydreams are made of . . . :cloud9:
Thank you!

Walking around Crescent Lake at the Boardwalk resort late in the evening.

The Flying Fish is a very nice restaurant at the Boardwalk.
