July Park Tips--How to plan fast passes?

Hi All,

I will be booking a last min. trip in July and this will be our first visit to the world during the summer season. We know it will be HOT, but my question is what tips do seasoned summer visitors have as far as how to plan a day at the parks? We are doing all 4 parks--1 park per day. Should we book are FP+ options for the evening? We plan on arriving to parks each morning by RD or shortly after.

Also, what is the deal with FP now? Can you book more once you've used the first 3? Do you print these at a Kiosk? Can you do this from the app?

You can book a 4th fp, after you use your initial 3. From what I have read, there are still good 4th FP (and beyond) options at mk, but not much left of importance at hs or epcot. you have to book at a kiosk, and nothing prints out. you cannot book on your phone/app.

my thoughts about touring in summer, as i am going in august with smaller kids: go early with a plan of attack, use fp midday and leave by 2 to go use the pool and nap. somedays we will return in the evening so we may try to get a 4th fp before we leave. i think what you decide to do will need to be based on how you envision your vacation. someone touring with young kids, like me, will be very different then someone with teenagers or a couple with no kids. good luck and have fun!

Go for rope drop, schedule your 3 from 10 on, then see what you can get. I think going early is the key in the summer with kids so I would just use the FPs up because the days tend to unravel after lunch between the storms and heat.
