We're going to Florida in July and I'm taking dd9 to MK for 2 days. I'm planning on getting there at rope drop to maximize our time. What's the best way to fit in eating? She does still love princesses so I'd like to do one character meal (if possible with adr's) before she's too old. What's the best bang for our limited time line?

I would call disney dining and see what is available as many of the character meals may be booked..but things do become available so call!

If it princesses you're looking for, Cinderella's Royal Table is your only option in MK. You'll have to see what's available, but I would probably go for an early dinner to maximize your time in the park.

Consider dinner at 1900 Park Fare. It's in the Grand Floridian, an easy monorail ride from the Magic Kingdom.

Cinderella, the Prince, the Stepsisters and Stepmother are all there. They go table to table for autographs and pictures. The Stepsisters bicker over who is prettier, and the Stepmother is a hoot.

It's a buffet, with a kid's section, so you'll both find something you enjoy.

I just tried 7/20 and found several available slots during dinner.

If you're thinking other characters, take a look at Chef Mickey's (in the Contemporary-- an easy WALK or monorail ride from the MK) or the Crystal Palace.
