Hi all,

I'm heading out to Florida mid July for a couple of weeks. I'll be travelling alone meeting up with my wife and daughters who will already be there, and heading back before them as well (lucky them !)

I'm looking to travel between 10th - 13th July and return between 26th - 28th July, so can spend between 14 - 16 nights.

Obviously looking for the best prices, and am quite flexible as I'll be travelling alone. Ideally, will be flying into Tampa, as we are staying on the Gulf Coast close to Port Charlotte, between Sarasota and Fort Myers, although could fly into MCO as we may spend a bit of time in Orlando. Specifically I'm looking for advice on the following -

Have thought about getting a late flight, say Thurs Friday evening, stay overnight at hotel in hub destination, and fly first thing in the morning to FL. Has anyone done this, did it work out OK?

I thought I saw a thread on these boards a few weeks ago about a new airline (possibly norweigan) that will be flying to Florida from UK - can anyone refresh my memory and post a link ?

I think I've tried all sites, kayak, opodo, lastminute, expedia etc. and prices range from £650 upwards. A gold star to anyone that can find cheaper !

Thanks for your help

Barrie

Avoid the Airline that you have mentioned.

You could stay overnight Friday in Dublin & Fly out Saturday Lunch Time

Direct with Aer Lingus to Orlando OR Check out their route to Tampa

using other stops & airlines.
