July Exercise Challenge...Jump In!...Everyone Welcome!

Yesterday I did bridge to 10k and a little extra for 90 minutes. I had a personal best on the 10k of exactly 70 minutes, not great, but pretty good for me :)

825/1300

Dang. I don't think I am going to make my goal this month. Can I drop it to 1000 instead of 1500! Lol. Even that seems to be a challenge.

I have added 200 minutes swimming
640/1500

Yikes!

555/1000

30 minutes of gardening this morning
15-minute mile-long walk outside this afternoon followed by the 15-minute 1-mile Walk Away The Pounds

Gosh, today's the 20th already...not sure I'm going to reach my goal for this month. Better get cracking on it this week! :)

I have been trying to get out and move but have to agree the heat has been a bit of a problem. Most of the above total has been walking (not much fun running in the heat) and bike riding.

I did my duathalon today and it was not pretty. A totally disorganized race. This was the first year she added the du to the triathalon and she just could not get both races worked out together. Then I had someone get mad a decide to clip me and send me into the bushes. :confused3

I think I will stick with Disney races from now on.

Yikes! Sounds like some of you are having a hard time getting the minutes in this month. No worries! You're still doing more than the sad saps who are still sitting on the couch! :thumbsup2

And to get us started on another (egads!) Monday...

7/20 - 47 min run
7/21 - 31 min elliptical/10 min PT

C'mon everybody! We got this!! :yay: :cheer2: pixiedust:

Ana--if you want to change your goal that is fine with me! Remember, this is a by you, for you kinda challenge, whatever keeps you happy and motivated works for me. Let me know. That goes for anybody else, too! :)

Today's exercise - 50 minutes

No running allowed on Monday's right now, so I did a modified P90X routine for 50 minutes.

July tally - 2323/3000

Adding 35 mins yesterday
and 41 mins today

so that's 233/500 so far. I can live with that.

We moved this month (last time for a LONG time!), and we are finally in our house after the longest closing process EVER. We moved out of our old house July 3!!!! visited with my parents for a few days and drove across the country with U-Hauls... then spent 11 days without a home and stayed with relatives. Holy crap. Never again.

Still in tons of boxes but finally back to a semi-routine as far as exercise and food. I have bad reflux because of a hiatal hernia, which I can normally control through diet but the past month has caused it to really flame up - heavy lifting, alcohol (staying with relatives that drink wine every day!), high fat foods (convenience food) and bad sleep/exercise habits, dehydration... started on prilosec again and hopefully this week I can get that under control. It's a very sharp pain in my pack, not normal for the GERD but apparently a possibility with the hernia. (anyone else dealt with this??)

It's amazing, though, how much health is affected by diet and exercise. Going for a run today felt so good after being so unhealthy this month. :cool1:

Hope everyone's doing okay after the heat wave we had.

30 min run this morning. Sure glad I have a shoe dryer for my shoes (really meant for hunting boots). Since e dew is forming during my 5 am runs my shoes are soaked at the end of the run. :)
915/900

Today was my bridge to 10k day. I beat my 10k personal best by 1:13 and finished it in 68:47. I did a total of 8.15 miles for 100 minutes.

965/1300

Walking with the kids- 1 hour- 700/1500

Ana

That sounds crazy MRSDRAKE625

I hate staying with relatives hanging in limbo. It is fun at first then gets old by say... The next day.
