Can you share...what a "great" AP rate is??

Last year we stayed at the WL standard room for $114.00 per night and BC standard for $199 (I beleive). At the WL lodge we ere upgraded to a courtyard view so we got even more bang for our buck!! That was with AP rates.

Assuming that codes for July/August come out in early May here's a question. If I want to book I will need to purchase an AP quickly. Would you recommend doing that on the ressie line or online or how? I have never purchased an AP before so I'm new to this. I am doing it solely to save money on our room this year. Give suggestions please so I will know my plan of attack ahead of time.

As long as you have the voucher when you check in you'll be fine. I just bought my first AP in January. I ordered it off the Disney website and it got to my house about three weeks before I left. No issues at all.

So you show the voucher at the resort to get the special room rate and validate it at the park for "free" admission?

Correct, and then you have to show the actual pass before the end of your stay.

Can anyone share with me their AP rate from last year for Pool View at AKL?

I just booked! WAHOO!! We're going from the 9th to the 17th of August. Right now the total is 2000 bucks. YIKES! I hope the AP rates come through.

tinkerbeth based on last summer's AP discount ($85 off per night at Deluxe resorts) your nightly rate would drop from $225 to$140. With tax, your total would be $1248.80 rather than $2007 - so you'd save over $750. Hopefully Passholder rates will come out and you will be able to have the rate applied to your entire stay. Is anybody else getting worried that since they haven't done any post-July 4 pin code emails, their might be NO discount for July/August dates? I got my pin code email for the dates up to July 4th back in January, months before AP codes, etc were released. If they are gonna release AP codes next week wouldn't someone have gotten some sort of pin code by now. I'm sure there is equally good chance they could just do no pin codes for these dates and still release Ap codes, etc... but I have to admit they do have me wondering.

The travel section of your local Sunday paper and this website Under "Current Disney Discounts" are good places to look.

I have been very worried too but I think that people are just starting to get post cards this week. On another board I read some other posters talking about post cards they just received with decent discounts. They said the discounts were better than the last round of AP codes. Not sure of the dates though, they didn't mention.

always worried they wont, but its just false worry. The only real worry is they cut them back (which I think they already have since post 2001 slump)

I called WDW last night, and they told me July codes wont be out till June as they are booking like crazy for July without them. Just an FYI

From what I have read on these boards, I don't think the CMs are too well informed about these things. I'm not getting worried yet....

Most Cm's don't have any information on the codes that will be released. Unfortunately they're in the dark.
