July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

Here are the details as I know them. I have been unable to perform a recon mission to the Village but hear :listen: that it may prove useless. Disney will be coming in on Saturday to prepare.

I will be in San Pedro most of the day on Saturday somewhere between the World Cruise Center and the Village :moped: scoping things out :magnify: and just soaking it all in with the family.

I understand there will be signs pointing us in the right direction upon entering the Village. I will be in the best spot I can find by 3pm. Everyone should bring the cell list I PM to the port. I will start calling all as soon as I have any information and once I stake out a spot. I am not expecting to have much luck saving spaces, but I will do my best.

When you arrive, look for the family of three in the lime green shirts and Gold Anniversary Ears carrying a sign that reads "PREPARE TO BE BOARDED" pirate: . We will try to be in a prime viewing spot and expect you to work your way through the crowds to join us. :crowded:

If you get my voicemail (Call The Plumber), leave a message and I will call you right back. You can also try redialing as it dumps to voicemail if I don't hear it. I will be monitoring my cell phone closely.

At 6pm, we have a table waiting for our large group at Acapulco :drinking1

Well, Craig, I don't speak for anyone else here, but I would not be surprised if there is general consensus that you have done an amazing and efficient job with the details of our group get-together. The efficiency and thoroughness you've shown make me believe you might be ex-military.

We're looking forward to seeing some of you again (for those we've met already), and meeting some of you for the first time on Saturday. We'll have a blast. Also, I would be remiss if I didn't say that we will sure miss those of you that are geographically challenged (i.e. don't live in California) that won't be able to join us. The good news is, we'll be meeting you all in less that a month-and-a-half....for the actual cruise!!!!

Chris

You all have fun tomorrow and take lots of pictures for the "geographically challenged"! As for those of you who cry -- I will confess to my eyes watering as I watched her go through the chanel!!! As it will when I get my first glimpse of her on July 9!

Sheryl

I agree with Chris, Craig...you've done a fantastic job with Saturday's plans. Thanks again!!!! See you Saturday!!!

Kim :flower:

Craig, you are awesome! :worship: Can't wait to see everyone tomorrow! :grouphug:

I'll have my camera. Although it's not digital, I can scan in photos and send them via e-mail. And I've packed lots of tissues too! I'm getting chills already :cold: just thinking about tomorrow.

Everyone ready for another game?!

What kind of wine did the Scouter-Dad Family choose as their Event Coordinator Gift?

A) Chardonnay
B) Merlot
C) Cabernet Sauvignon
D) Riesling
E) Pinot Noir

I'll guess Pinot Noir.

BTW, did anyone notice that we hit the 100-page milestone today?? That doesn't translate into any prize (unless someone else wants to step up), but it's still pretty cool.

Chris

Two of the geographically challenged here! Wishing all of you a wonderful day tomorrow! We'll be thinking of you as we go through our "humdrum" everyday, average, ordinary day here in Tampa. Can't wait until we can meet all of you and put a face with a name.

Till July,
Val & Stu

ITS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today is the day! :cool1: :bounce: :Pinkbounc YAY!!!!!!For those you you who will be there today... see in you a few hours!!!! I will have plenty of pictures to show once back!

I will be thinking of you all at 7est--- 4 California time! I so wished I lived ther!! :cool1: :cool1:
Sheryl

:disrocks: Let me be the first to say : THAT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!! :cool1: Thanks, Craig for setting everything up and :love2: to everyone from Sara and Mike (driving from San Fran) to all the "Grumpykids" putting up with their  parents. - :grouphug:

Seeing Her so close, hearing the horn (4 times?) July can't come soon enough ! (Although with all the chips I ate .... I might need the time to work it off :rotfl2: )

Someone yell when you see the video of us all yelling "Bon Voyage".

:cloud9:

Cheri...I agree with you...today was sooo great!!!! It was awesome to meet everyone, and the horn gave me goosebumps!!! Now I REALLY can't wait until it's our turn! Alexis and I just looked at our digital pics...we got some really great ones, especially of the girls!

Kim :flower:

I agree too!!! Awesome day. Can't wait until it's our turn to sail. I'm looking forward to it even more now. :cool1:

Well, a bunch of my friends just got off the ship today, and the sad news for me is....I had to cancel the July 9th cruise.

I canceled a few months ago, because a car repair to the tune of $1200 really mucked things up.

The good news is that I'm still able to keep the DL 50th trip, as frequent flyer miles and DVC points really do help. :)

I'll be living vicariously through all of you just as I did these past two weeks as my friends were on the Repo Cruise.

I had such an awesome time. It was so great meeting everyone. I think it was so awesome how the kids just blended together. Thanks Craig for all your hard work putting this together. July 9 better get here soon!
Lori

I'll just echo everything said, and just add that the only regret of the day was that our other friends here on the boards couldn't be there. How great would that have been to have everyone there??!!?? Anyway, I think special kudos should go to Sara and Mike who were on the road at 3:30AM driving 7 hours in order to be there. Extra special kudos go to Lexi who went though all that and still managed to be cute and well-behaved throughout the whole afternoon and dinner!!!

Nonetheless, it was a great time watching the majestic Magic slowly sail by, with Mickey & Minnie visible on the deck waving to us!!!

We've obviously got a great group here, and it was generally agreed that the next 6 weeks is going to take forever. Kim, I'm pretty sure Cassie and Alexis are going to be inseparable best friends by the time the cruise ends.

Have a good long weekend everyone.

Chris

Sheila...great pics! I especially like the ones you have of the girls in front of the ship. Didn't you say you took those at a park? I'll have to get directions from you so we can take some like that the day we board! Great job!

Kim :flower:

Hey there lime-green-shirt peoples! Didn't we cause a stir yesterday?! Sitting here eating lunch, finishing leftovers from Acapulo's, and wondering why we aren't stowaways on the Magic. Sheila, great photos! Six weeks will be here before we know it...

Craig & Christine.... many kudos for coordinating yesterday's event. What a great job! And for all those wondering their wine choice.... a Merlot(Christine's favorite!).

Sara, please PM your Scavenger Hunt Coodinator gift selection to me. I don't want to forget about you!

I would love to see the Disney interview Mike gave. I have one question though relating to his infamous quote "We're like-minded people." I'm hoping that means we're fanatic about our cruise. And hoping it doesn't relate to a thong? :scared1: :confused3 :scared1:

We had a wonderful time meeting all of you. Wasn't it fabulous! Ya'll are simply the best! :grouphug:
